Coit Cleaning and Restoration of Kentuckiana

I have used Coit many times over the last 3 years, and have had good experiences until May 2014. I get the same cleaning done each time. The price is always in the $200-$220 range for 5 rooms. Every tech has always been great and did a wonderful job in the past. I recommended them to many people, even stating that while they arent the cheapest, it is quality work. I had moved most items for the cleaning in May, but this tech refused to move ANYTHING (even a small table in the living room). He made me move every single item or it did not get cleaned under. Previous techs had moved light items and cleaned under that area - but not this guy! I did not expect him to move heavy furniture (bed, dressers) but i would expect him to be able to scoot a 5 lb table over! He seemed more interested in selling me every other service they owned than cleaning my carpets. Then, the quote!! I had a discount for being a previous customer, yet his quote was $648!!! Imagine my shock! I told him for that I could just recarpet a couple of the rooms!! So basically, the ONLY thing I got was a basic cleaning - not stain guard, teflon, deodorizer (all things i have ALWAYS done before!) for $301! (Still too high!...). If I had it to do over, I should have just not let him clean. Not to mention the whole house smelled like wet dog (we do NOT have dogs) after. I had vaccumed the floors VERY well prior to him coming. He stopped approximately 5x to try to sell me another service (HVAC, etc). When I declined, he kept on pressuring me! Finally I said I would talk to my husband, to which he said, and quot;well, lets schedule it and you can always call us if we need to move itand quot;. REALLY?!?! I was VERY disappointed, especially since I had used Coit many times (and had GREAT service!). I sent the company an email a couple of days later through their website (which i always use to schedule and ALWAYS get an immediate call when i schedule) requesting a manager call me to discuss. No call. I called and left a message and another email. Nothing. Needless to say, I am not sure I will use them again. If I do, I would make sure I request other techs who have cleaned our carpets before and NOT the one who came out in May.

The team did an outstanding job!! They worked quickly and efficiently and were friendly. They were able to remove a long standing grease stain and had 12 year old carpet looking brand new.

They were just superb! We received a 40% off special. I have had other cleaners in that I felt did okay, but nothing like Coit!

Arrived on time and did a great job of cleaning my carpets. Very professional. The only complaint I have is there is a minimum charge for coming out. They don't charge per room. So if you only need one or two rooms cleaned, it's not reasonable.

Everything turned out good. I was pleased with their services.

Carpet was not clean as I expected. He rushed through was not detail oriented. Just generally not satisfied overall.

It went fine, we wanted it cleaned before our new system went in. They did excellent work.

They were punctual--I'll give them that--and they did honor the quote given over the phone (but not without resistance). However, the wood floor was was so incredibly wet afterwards and we had several spots that didn't come out. When I asked about the spots, they said, "Those spots didn't come out because they're new." They never pre-treated, either. To be sure, I cleaned those spots myself and they came right out. I'll never use them again, which is incredibly disappointing given the reputation I'd heard. I think it's definitely sad that the supervisor never called me back, even after they said they would.

COIT was very quick to respond to our call, they called and arrived on time, and their service was quick, courteous, and complete. I would recommend them to anyone.

The overcharged me and was only supposed to be $150. Also, they broke something while they were here and it was a horrible experience. I would not recommend them to anyone.

We decided to go with Coit for our air duct cleaning and are more than satisfied. John and Eric came out and were very personable and professional. We can already tell and smell a difference in the air quality throughout the home. They did a phenomenal job and we will be requesting them again the next time. A+

Treated bad stains and cleaned the carpet in two rooms. Excellent service performed by a fifteen year employee named Jon Gartner. Would highly recommend him and the company. This is the second year we have used them and are just as satisfied at we were last year.

We were not impressed at all. They sold us a hardwood cleaning. They came out and showed a video to my wife with the before and after. The after was spectacular. It was a substantial cost. When the guy came out to do the work, he said that he shouldn't have used that video because there was no way they were going to get it to look like the floor in the video. We said that was what was sold to us. We basically had to get the general manager involved in it. They came back out and recleaned the carpets. They offered to redo the hardwoods but it wouldn't make them look better. We ended up working out a compromise and they ended up just charging us half of the costs. There were supposed to be a polyurethane coating on it and they didn't do that. We could have done the same thing with a mop and some mop and glow. We were not impressed.

We've always been very pleased with them. They've been around for a long time. We had remodeling done and our furniture needed cleaning. They're very professional, they come in, do their work and leave. They call you ahead and tell you when they're gone be here and they'll tell you how long it will take. They communicate. I guess that's the big thing with me. I don't like people who just show up at my door after I've asked them to work and they don't tell me when they're coming or if they're going to be early or they're late they don't call. It tends to be extremely inconvenient.

It went great. I have used Coit for the past five years, and for the past probably four years I have always requested Chris. He is super nice, does a great job, and is always very efficient and professional. Can't say enough good things about him and Coit.

Quick scheduling and on time arrival. The service provider was very polite and reviewed what he was going to do before getting started to ensure we were in agreement. I have used Coit for several years and this experience is consistent with all of work they have done in my home.

Have used Coit for over 15 years but for the last couple of years have been disappointed in the service. Don't feel that the carpet is as clean and even if it takes very little time when you are doing 3000 square feet, make it take longer than 1 hour!

The gentleman who cleaned our carpets did a superb job and let us know exactly what he was going to do. He was extremely polite and thorough. The cost was exactly as we were quoted on the estimate. I would highly recommend Coit for doing an excellent job and I had absolutely no complaints with the cleaning job. The only thing that was a and quot;glitchand quot; was because I had the estimate done in mid-February and the job was not scheduled until mid-March (at my request because I was painting my living room). It was scheduled between 9 a.m. and noon. At 10:30 on the day of service, I had heard not heard from them, so I called Coit. There must have been a mix-up on their schedule, but they sent their professional out before noon. I was concerned that it may be a and quot;rushand quot; job, but they apologized for the mix-up, assured me it would be a quality job, and it was!! I have learned if there is any gap between estimate and scheduled time, just to call a day or so in advance to confirm the date. This lesson applies not just with Coit, but with any situation where a large gap of time may be intervening. I will definitely us them again and try to have the same gentleman come out next time I have my carpets cleaned. They look fantastic!!

The service was done when my husband was home. When I came home from work, there was a terrible smell. It smelled like dirty water. Very disappointed - had a bridal shower scheduled for two days later :(

I recently moved to KY (on a Sunday) for my new job. When we arrived at the rental house there was an old musky odor in the carpet downstairs. I frantically called first thing Monday to find anyone who would clean the carpets on Monday so we could get our household goods delivered on Tuesday (as already scheduled). Coit's was very responsive and stated they could have a tech out that same day. They even provided a 2 hour window for us. The technician was great - very professional. He came in, surveyed the rooms, computed the square footage, and provided a price quote before starting. He was in and out within 1 1/2 hours. I have no issues with the service, I was shocked at how expensive it was. the price spent included a 35% discount.

The technician called prior to coming and arrived right on time. I showed him the area to be cleaned. He got right to work. He spot treated the carpet, then cleaned it completely. The job was done promptly and to my satisfaction. Everything was very professional and done as promised.

The rep who gave us the estimates for the work was efficient and personable. He gave us dates for the work to be done and the probable time span. Also, he took the carpet with him for cleaning. The two men who came to do the duct work called when on the way and then arrived on time. They were careful with the unit housing the large and quot;vacuumand quot; and dusted/sprayed the individual registers by hand after vacuuming that duct area. ( The air in the house does seem and quot;cleaner.and quot;) In the afternoon, the two men who were going to do the upholstery called and then came over. The couch is fairly new, but the difference was surprising - it actually shone and looked like new. The side chair is quite new, so there was not much contrast there. However, the wing-back chair is older, showed oil spots from leaning back in the chair, and also ground-in oil and soil on the end of the arms, just from normal usage. The result of this cleaning was nothing short of amazing. There was a hint of the oil stain on the back of the chair (which had been really bad), but the rest of the chair and arms had cleaned-up very nicely. It did take the furniture longer to dry than we had been told, especially the couch - we left that overnight to dry, but that was our choice. The side chair dried as expected and the wing-back took a couple of hours longer than what we were told to expect. The carpet was returned this afternoon and looks very good. (The carpet and upholstery were treated with a stain resistant substance, but am not sure of the name.)

They were on time and very professional. Some staines remained after cleaning.
