Description of Work: I have hired Carrell Rogers several times to install new carpet. They might not be the cheapest in town, but the very small premium that you pay is so worth it. The quality of the carpet and the installers has been superb. Well worth every penny I sent. Will definitely use then in the near future for some more carpet.

+ 0 moreEverything about the carpet experience was excellent except for the cost. I was surprised it cost so much money, but since we had already picked out the carpet and were already in the showroom, we went ahead and made the purchase. We didn't feel like driving all over the city to see if we could get a better deal, but I think we could have gotten a better price, if we would have put forth some effort. What made me contact this company to begin with is they had a booth at the Home and Garden Show, and it was convenient to schedule an appointment with a representative there. We purchased a better pad than the last time we purchased carpet, so that might have been one of the issues that made it so expensive. The next time we are ready to purchase carpet, I will look around at other places first. If it turns out that the cost will be about the same, I would go back to Carrell Rogers Carpet One because the experience with them was excellent except for the high cost.
Description of Work: We had carpet and padding put in our living room, hallway, and 6 steps leading upstairs. We had already removed the old carpet and padding and also moved the furniture out of the room.

We needed the carpet installed very quickly and they delivered. We had a bit of a problem with the installation of the carpet on the stairs not being exactly what we wanted, but we called the store and they fixed it quickly and exceeded our expectations.

+ 2 moreThey were very helpful, and they really kind of went out of their way to work with my schedule. They did a really nice job. I had a piece of carpet that was not worthwhile, and I wanted it to be cut into different sizes. Carrell Rogers don't do that but the company that would do it would not do it until and unless it was cleaned first, so they came and picked it up and cleaned and delivered it to the other company. I knew that they would come and clean it, but they even delivered it to the other company and they were happy to do that. When I bought some carpeting from them, I was planning on a remodeling and they had a sale, so I went down there and bought the carpet because the sale price was really good. I had to wait for the remodeling to get over to install the carpeting and it took about four months for that to complete, and then I called them and they came and installed it for me. They did a really good job in the way I wanted. It was thick carpeting and didn't fit the doors, so they had to take out around seven doors and install it. It was a complicated job that many would not do it. Their price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again in the future.

+ 1 moreThe installation guys were nice, they were clean. They said, I wouldn’t have any seams, and I could stand here and show me where the seams are ready, so they showed, that was somewhat disappointing. I thought they over promised, because I didn’t know one could ever like carpet and the seams not show. I also had a specific incident with him, they were using one of their sub-contractors to stand down and refinish my wood floors and we left them to do it. When we came back they had used the wrong finish on it, they used high sheen and they came out and said that they’ll make it right. They came back in and redid it, and this time they put a flat finish on it, which wasn’t right either. I called them again, and they redid it again and finally put the right finish on it. They messed it up twice, but they made it good, without any problems and they didn’t give me any troubles to do it both times in 2001. I have called them recently and they are scheduled to come out in April to redo my hardwood floors.

When a slight flaw in the basement carpet was discovered by the installers before they laid the carpeting, they pointed it out to me and re-ordered the whole batch. The new carpeting was delivered and installed less than a week later. Installers were very prompt efficient and courteous. I definitely plan on using this business again.

+ 0 moreThe whole process went great. From the initial phone calls, assessment visit and installation, all were handled quickly and professionally. Despite the fact that they are about 50 miles or so from us, we had no real issues. They were a little late getting here both times, but that was only because they had to contact us to find out exactly where we are located. In no way do I hold that against them because we are kind of out-of-the-way and they called before the scheduled times to get additional directions and let us know that they were on their way and close. I will definitely use this company again and would have no concerns with recommending them to anyone.
Description of Work: Due to a water leak in our basement, we had to replace our carpet and the underpad. The assessment team showed up and covered all the details with us. They brought carpet and padding swatches. They were very informative about what was covered under our insurance and what the apx costs would be if we went above the covered amount. I was so pleased with the initial team that since we have a split family room in our basement and since the carpet was being replaced on one side due to the leak, we went ahead and had them do both sides of the family room. Both of the members were friendly and articulate. One of the members was in training, Le, and even though she was in the process of learning, the whole procedure was excellent and it was a pleasure to work with her and her boss! When the installation team showed up, they moved our furniture into the garage. They also coordinated the other company that was moving our pool table. The guys from Carrell Rogers pulled up the baseboards and metal strips, removed the old carpet and padding and then laid the new. They replaced the baseboards, vacuumed numerous times and then moved all of our furniture back in to the correct locations. They worked quickly and were very competent.

+ 0 moreThey were really great. When we went in, there was no pressure. They helped us get what we needed. They got us the most economical product that fit our purposes. It was a pretty small job. The stairwell had maybe ten stairs. The guys who put the carpet in did a good job. The guy actually cut us an extra piece of carpet for the closet, which wasn't even part of the project. He didn't charge us for it. We were able to tell that their prices were similar to the competition. They were much more hospitable and helpful than other companies. Once we decided to work with them, the project went well.

+ 4 moreThey do restoration, remodeling, cleaning and mold abatement. They do a little bit of everything. There was one issue that wasn't resolved real well and I haven't gotten back with them.
Description of Work: I used Carrell Rogers Carpet One to completely clear out 28 years worth of junk and gunk in my crawlspace. They reworked the insulation and put in a new moisture barrier. They also installed a window and painted it. They did some stucco work on my concrete block.

+ -1 moreWe recently moved to Louisville and needed new carpet installed in several rooms of our home. Carrell Rogers did oustanding work in every regard: They were able to install the carpet within days of receiving it. The quality of the work was excellent. The price was extremely competitive. They were extraordinarily flexible, even allowing us to order some of our carpet from another store. They didn't "skimp" on the rug-pad, offering a full 8 pound pad rather than the so-called cheater pads (6-7 pounds) used by so many carpeting stores. I highly recommend their services.
