I had phone calls to keep me informed about the progress of the project. I cannot imagine having a better experience with any other company.
Description of Work: This was one of the most satisfying experiences I have ever had with home repair. The sales rep, Louie, was so knowledgeable. He got on the roof and took pictures of shingles to help me understand why the roof needed to be replaced. Carl, the production manager, had his people here promptly at 7:30 a.m. and they scoured the property for stray nails before leaving. I cannot speak highly enough for the level of professionalism, friendliness and sound cost of the roofing project. You absolutely cannot go wrong by using this company.

THE WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY WITH A VERY PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE. THE ENTIRE CREW DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THE HOUSE LOOKS GREAT WITH A NEW ROOF AND GUTTERS.
Description of Work: AFTER A WIND STORM I HAD DAMAGE TO MY ROOF. I SELECTED BONE DRY ROOFING ON RECOMMENDATION OF TWO FRIENDS. ROBERT STEELE AND HIS CREW WERE PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF REPLACING THE ROOF. I HAD TWO NAIL POPS IN MY KITCHEN CEILING AND THE COMPANY SENT MR AND MRS HAMILTON WHO DID A FAST AND PERFECT REPAIR. A FEW WEEKS AFTER THE INSTALLATION I DECIDED I WANTED TO REPLACE SOME ADDITIONAL DOWNSPOUTS AND THAT WAS ALSO DONE QUICKLY AND REASONABLY.

When I first read the reviews of Bone Dry I thought they were too good to be true. Who was this Louie character? Angie's List has never led me astray yet, so I called Bone Dry. Louie arranged to meet me and discuss the work that was needed. We had excessive wind-damage from Spring storms and the insurance company determined a new roof was in order. Louie showed up ahead of schedule on an afternoon when the weatherman was calling for thunderstorms. We did get showers, but Louie still went up on the roof to scope out the job. I had estimates from several roofers and Bone Dry was not the cheapest, but it was obvious that Bone Dry would not cut corners. At the last minute I decided to add two skylights, which might have thrown a wrench in the operation. Louie assured me that obtaining and installing the skylights would be no issue. Additionally, Louie had to go to bat against my insurance company who felt that installing new flashing wasn't a standard roofing procedure. The work crew showed up ontime. They were courteous and hardworking. They worked from 8 in the morning til 10 at night with only a lunch break. A Bone Dry supervisor was on the job site at all times. One of the supervisors, a young man named Keegan, was on lone from the Bone Dry in Indy. He was polite and attentive to his workers and to our concerns. After the work was completed, Louie arranged to do a walk through with my husband (a very particular person). They both went up on the roof. All of our concerns were addressed and corrected. I hope I don't have to see them again (don't want another roof for 30 years), but dealing with Bone Dry (and Louie) was the best contractor experience we have had in a long time.
Description of Work: Removed all shingles and paper. Removed all old flashing and vents. Removed old power vent. Repaired broken boards on roof. Installed ridge vent. Installed two skylights. Installed anti-ice sheathing. Re-felted and installed Owens-Corning oakridge shingles.

They gave an honest estimate with the problems not taken care of with previous roofers. The work was performed by professionals in a timely fashion. They even discounted the price of the wood since we need such a large amount.
Description of Work: This is our third roof in 24 years of owning this house. Bone Dry had performed an excellent repair job in the past so I knew their work was superior. We apparently had paid for new flashing in the past and had it had not been installed. Bone Dry did an excellent job! We have had several storms since. I waited for this review to make sure, and indeed our roof has remained "bone dry". The price was quite a lot but you have to pay for quality work . I would recommend this company many times over. They were very professional and left the yard free of any debris eg. nails, pieces of shingles etc. The roof was nailed by hand. We have several "difficult " areas of flat roof and these were addressed to my satisfaction. A job quit well done.

. They were quick with the install of a temporary fix, especially considering we had a serious leak. All of this was taking place just as we were going on vacation. We were able to comunicate via email and cell.Mr. Leger was very patience and cooperative. The tarp held and the job got done as soon as we got home. Do cal Mr. Louie Leger at Bone Dry Roofing. Lyndon Lane. There is another Bone Dry Co., but I have no experience with them.
Description of Work: We were given estimates on several different possibilities. We chose the one which worked best for us, we even asked for a last minute chage. We were very pleased with the respect we were afforded and the results, so far, are excellant.

The representative of Bone Dry Roofing that came out to give an estimate on the cost of the work was professional and friendly, answering all questions thoroughly. It took longer to get the work done due to the recent barrage of storms in this area of the country and backlog of work orders. However, about 5 weeks later, the roofers that performed the job were punctual and friendly. Overall, I was extremely happy with the professionalism of Bone Dry Roofing, and would recommend them to any of my friends.

Please see above! I had a great and very uninvasive experience!
Description of Work: I had several issues with the roof that was installed at build. Bone Dry came out and inspected it because I had a shingle that was blowing up in strong winds. They did a VERY through examination of the roof, documented all unsealed nail heads, rain boots, missing shingle, and blow backs. The inspector took pictures and time to explain to me all that he had noted and what they would do to repair it. I thought the estimate was reasonable and they response time was going to be timely. So I agreed for them to do the repairs. They called me yesterday and advised me that they could fit me in right then...I was at work. But the contractor said he could leave an invoice, that I didn't need to be there for the repairs. I agreed and it was the most advantageous thing for me. I knew right away when I pulled up in my drive that he had completed the work and it looked good. The area I was having the most trouble with had obviously been repaired and looked great, my rain boots were professional looking and there was not a single bit of debris evidence. Overall and great experience! Thank you!!!

Louie came out for our estimate. He was very nice and helpful. They ended up doing the work in two parts, which turned out to be a bit of an annoyance. After the first bit, they left a partial bill and provided no information about when the second part would be done. This required me to follow up with them to find out when the work would be completed. About a week later they came back and finished the job. Both portions were performed well, and each time they simply called the same day, did the work and left with no trace. So, overall, it was a very good experience, aside from the minor deficit of communication. I would use them again.

They showed up on a Saturday morning and got right to work. They were very neat, did a great job and they were very courteous. They did the repair in a short time and it was very nice to have the coupon from Angie's list. We saved $100. When they left there was no mess at all. It all looked great and you would never know they were ever there. I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly.
Description of Work: They removed shingles in a dead valley area and added black modified. Ran it up the valley 5' and put the shingles back. Restep flash and counter flash 3' brick wall in the same area- Add ice and water shield. XT Moire Black-Match roof color as close as possible.

The sales person/point-of-contact, Louie, was very personable and we were comfortable working with him. He really listened to what we wanted. Unfortunately, somewhere along the line, they messed up our phone number so when they showed up to do the work it was a surprise--a 7:00 a.m. surprise. They were done with most of the work in 1 day. They did a great job cleaning up. I can't stress the cleaning up bit enough. We've had our gutters replaced and a screened-in porch added and based on those experiences had low expectations for the cleanup but the guys from Bone Dry did a great job. They also did a great job matching the shingles even though they didn't install the original roof. It looks very nice from the street. We had several strong storms after the vent was installed and didn't experience any leaks at all. The fascia on the front of the house didn't get fixed and we had to call them and have them come back out. It was easy to reschedule and they had someone there within 24-hours of our call to their office. Unfortunately, that time they didn't do a good job of cleaning up and left metal scrap strips on our front porch. The roof vent has made such a difference to our level of comfort in the house. The staff at Bone Dry was very responsive and professional. We enjoyed working with them and would use them again in a heartbeat. We would recommend them to anyone.

When deciding to have my roof replaced, I started off looking a the BBB alone. I received two estimates, but was not completely happy with them so I checked into Angie's List. I immediately noticed the high ratings for Bone Dry Roofing and quickly decided to venture to their website and request an estimate. I do believe I was contacted the next day for the estimate, since I submitted my request on a Sunday. I was told that Louie Leger would be at my house at 5:00 to handle my free roofing estimate. He was late, but there was a traffic accident and he called ahead to inform me that he was running behind. I offered an alternate route to him to help make the travel easier. Upon arriving at my house Louie quickly began his work. He offered us a folder which contained all the products that Bone Dry uses and also included their certificate of liability insurance. My other two estimates did not offer all of that. While Louie was outside taking measurements and pictures, my wife and I were able to browse the contents of the folder. We found the color of shingles we wanted because I was already prepared to use Bone Dry based off the wonderful reviews I had already read. Once Louie was finished outside he came inside to explain the company and process of replacing the roof. He was very thorough in his explanations and even offered websites to back up his information so that we knew he wasn't just saying things to try to get our business. As he explained certain items I chimed in with a small portion of knowledge from having looked things up on the internet and he really appreciated that. He was very humble becuase I mentioned that he was mentioned by name on one of the Angie's List reviews and he was very thankful for that. The man flat out knows the business and knows how to treat you to get the business. Once the roofing portion was decided upon, I asked Louie a questions about my chimney as I had a leak coming from there. I had a ladder ready for a trip into the attic, and that's just what we did. He addressed my concerns about the chimney and recommended their masonry division to take a more detailed look. I did received an estimate for the chimney, but decided to see if the roof work would fix my leak issue first. While in the attic he noted my lack of insulation, which lead us to a discussion of having more insulation added to the attic. Once again he was very thorough with his explanation of everything that would take place during the installation and we decided to have both the roof and insulation done the same day. The only thing left was picking an install day. I decided to have the job take place while I was off from work so we scheduled it a month out. On install day I recived a call from a representative of Bone Dry saying the guys would be at my house between 8:45-9:00. I noticed the vehicles arriving at approx. 8:45, right on time. I notice some guys start putting tarps over my landscaping immediatly upon arrival and then there's a knock on the door. General Manager Carl Jackson was there to explain what was going to take place for the day. This day just happened to by May 25th, which had some pretty severe storms expected for that evening. Carl said the goal was to have the job complete before the storms hit the area. They brought an eight man crew (nine including Carl) so they were very prepared to get the job done quickly. Carl did inform me that he would be the one installing the insulation. Within 30 minutes of their arrival the tearoff began. I could hear shingles being ripped off the roof from just about every room so I knew each guy was working hard. By 11:00 it appeared that most of the old roof had been removed. I could hear a leaf blower being used to get the extra small pieces of debris off the roof. By 11:30 they were replacing the rotted wood and picking up the debris from around the house. The tarps were also being removed. I ventured outside to take a look and noticed that one section of the roof already had tar paper down. Shortly after 12:00 it was lunch time. At 12:36 Carl called and mentioned that 150-200 linear feet of wood needed replacing. This was the only thing that wasn't determined in the estimate because we didn't now how much wood needed to be replaced. Carl offered to take pictures to show me the new wood, but I told him that I heard them cutting the wood and hammering it down, so that was not necessary. At 1:00, the work resumes. I hear constant hammering for the next four hours. I eventually head outside and see that by 2:38 tar paper is layed around the entire house and the ice and water shield had been installed. There are guys on both sides of the roof hammering down some shingles and this lasts until near 6:30. I was wondering if the insulation had been completed and went to my attic space entrance and could see sunlight coming through the closet where the attic access panel is. I then heard a cell phone ringing and heard Carl's voice in the attic. He was up there putting in the insulation. This was around 3:45-4:00. I continue to check the closet and eventually see the sunlight has disappeared from the edges of the panel and hear the shingles being hammered down. I walk out on my back deck and check out the chimney area and see that all new flashing has been installed and caulked and it looks much better than before. I was having a slight leak near at the chimney so I was anxious to see what the next rain would have in store for me. At 7:15 I talk to Carl and he mentions that the guys are cleaning up and he informs me that he put a little more than R-49 level of insulation in certain spots of the attic. I would eventually get up there to take a peek at his handy work, and sure enough there are several measurement gauges throughout the attice showing that there was indeed more than 18" of insulation in spots. I noticed my extended framed area around the access panel so that the insulation doesn't come pouring down into my closet, so that was great to see. Outside the guys are running the high powered magnets all around the house to get up as many nails as possible. I have found a handful of them around the house, but it's not like I expected them to get every single one of them up. While talking with Carl we both realize that the new soffit vents were not installed. He says he'll have the guys come out the next day to take care of that and they certainly did. Arrived at 9:00 a.m. the next day and the job was fully complete in an about an hour. At 7:45 I gave Carl the check and thanked him for his hard work and even enjoyed a personal conversation about college football before wishing him a safe travel home. He lives in Indiana and some of the severe storms were already hitting near his home. That night we had some pretty strong storms roll through but they were no match for my newly installed roof. I'm not sure how much rain fell, but I didn't notice any leaking, especially by my chimney where it had been leaking before. All in all my experience with Bone Dry Roofing was excellend from the estimate to the completion of the job. I recommend them to the highest degree! Give them a call and enjoy the pleasure of having Louie Leger do your free estimate and see why he has been mentioned by name on Angie's List by more than one reviewer. If your lucky, maybe Carl Jackson will be the General Manager assigned for your project. A+++ service!!
Description of Work: Tearoff and install 30 year roofing system, install ridge vent and add new soffit vents. Also replaced rotted wood. Attic insulation was brought up to R-49 level, which included istallation of insulation baffles and the attic access area was framed up to meet the new insulation level.

My husband found some shingles that needed to be attended to while he was cleaning out the gutters. We contacted Bone Dry to replace a few areas that needed attention. It was discussed about having a new roof and maybe it could wait [we were hoping ] A week later the kitchen ceiling bubbled up over the sink area. Now we knew we could not put this off . We contacted Bone Dry and they scheduled us very soon after our call . We had gotten three bids Bone Dry was not the cheapest , however my husband felt they were very competent and chose them to do the work. We have learned that cheapest is not always the best.. I had used your list for roofers and reviewed the comments and we took this into consideration in choosening this company. We are very satisfied with the work., and will go with them again as we have other properties to maintain.
Description of Work: Had a new roof put on with a ridge vent . The gutter aprons were replaced and boots around the vents. They found rotten wood that needed to be replaced. My husband was asked if he wanted to inspect the rotten wood and the other work that needed to be done . He was more than willing to see the damage on the roof. Bone Dry's agent Carl was very good with customer satisfaction. Explained they might find things that needed to be done after removing shingles such as rotten wood ect. They appeared to be very interested in workmanship and the end product. The roof on the house looks good and we feel sure it will last the expected life of the materials. The job took one day to complete . All the debrie was removed and we did not need to clean up anything after they left. They had a good hard working crew. We would definelty use them again on our other properties.

BoneDry sent a very professional, informative, and eloquent bidder to explain what was causing my leak, what to do to repair it, and what other concerns he had after a walk around the roof. Despite persistent bad weather, repair team found brief window of dry daylight, came by in numerous force, and almost finished entire job in 2 hours before rain started again. Returned next morning to complete. Replaced shingles, reflashed vent pipes, checked for internal damage to roof structure. So far, no problems. Seems to have been good work, professional performance, and fair price.

Several bad experiences with home repair firms had made me leery to even think about something as important as a new roof, but a leaking roof and more rain to come had forced my hand. Fortunately other members of Angie's List paved my way to Bone Dry and that was the company I decided to trust. I made an appointment for a representative from there to do an inspection of my roof and on the appointed day I got a phone call from Louie Leger, Roofing Systems Specialist saying he was on his way. Louie was my lifesaver. After he inspected the attic and roof and took pictures, we sat down to make plans for the work. When I told Louie about my contractor fears he assured me that a roof installed by Bone Dry would be a good experience and he was 100% right. Louie explained each step that would take place and told me that once I'd made my product selections (shingles, etc) he could give me a bottom line cost of everything except the wood - they wouldn't know that till they removed the shingles. he explained everything and answered all my questions patiently and efficiently. And the next day, when a small leak showed up I called him and he came back, went up on the roof and covered that area with a tarp. Now all we had to do was to wait for a dry day. On installation day I was so excited. I'd never had a new roof put on before. Louie was here along with a lot of men who made up the installation team - and they were fantastic and amazing to watch. I have never before in my whole life seen a team who worked that fast and that smoothly together - like a well oiled machine. They were like one machine with moving parts - no hesitation - just perfect. Louie also took pictures of my new roof and the new insulation in the attic. It all looked great. Louie is a huge asset to Bone Dry. I went on the internet and checked out OSB and insulation types and ratings and he liked the fact that I had done that. It's easy to see that he is very involved in the roofing business and shows that he is concerned with it from start to finish. Plus, there were several managers here that day - Carl Jackson, General Manager was one and the presence of that many company representatives makes me believe that Bone Dry cares about its work and its workers. My new roof is not only well made and beautiful, it works. Through all this rainy weather, my house is staying nice and dry. And thanks to Angie's List, Bone Dry gave me a wonderful discount for being one of your members.
Description of Work: Bone Dry Roofing tore off the old roof, replaced the damaged wood with oriented strand board (OSB) installed a new roof using black Certaineed shingles, added a ridge vent and eave/edge vents (these vents will help to cool the attic which in turn helps to cool the house which in turn helps to lower the energy costs), revented a bathroom exhaust fan, and blew in R-49 insulation..

The salesman, Louie Leger, stayed in touch throughout the process and was very professional. My only complaint was that I was never called to schedule the installation. The installer just showed up. Fortunately, it was not an inconvenience since he didn't need access to the inside of the house. He was polite and hard working. We've already had two storms, one with very heavy rain, and there have been no leaks. And they look good.

From start to finish, this was, by far, the best experience I've ever had with a company! Our roof had wind damage. The crew showed up 15 minutes early and worked harder than anyone I've seen. They had my old roof torn off and replaced six sheets of damaged decking in under two hours, all the while working around our brand new gutters and siding. We went with the dimensional shingles and ridge vent and it turned out great! And it's not just personal opinion. Every one of our neighbors has asked for their business card. The cleanup was extremely through. Not one nail or scrap of debris. They took care of submitting all the necessary documentation to our insurance company. If I know anyone who needs a new roof, I won't rest until the hire Bone Dry!

So many companies were leaving notes on our door or knocking on our door to ask us if we knew we had roof damage. Bone Dry was one of the names that we got from our insurance company as someone who does good work.We didn't know about Angie's List at that time. Bone Dry sent a fine young man named Louie over who did such a good inspection inside and outside of our roof.He was the only one who even asked to check the inside of our roof. The insulation was OK but the vent wasn't working at all.It was very old and needed replacement. The other companies didn't say anything about the vents. When Louie checked the roof he told me that the shingles had not been installed correctly. They had nailed very short nails above the nail line so he didn't think that we had much of a insurance claim. I loved how honest he was with me. The insurance adjuster came and sure enough that is exactly what he told me. The other companies all said I had storm damage and all I would have to pay is my deductible. Sure wish the people who had owned this house before us had used Bone Dry and maybe it would have been storm damage as the cause for replacing our roof! I'm sorry but I didn't take any pictures but maybe Louie will send me the ones he took. Sandy Derryberry
Description of Work: We had two layers of old shingles removed, some old wood replaced and had new shingles,a new Ridge Vent and Edge vent added. The results are outstanding!
