+ -1 moreI just hired Bone Dry Roofing as a result of Angie's List, but they haven't done the work yet. I have been very pleased with everything up to this point, with the response and everything else. When I called they called me right back. They showed up actually early and exactly when we made the appointment. They were just very professional and very knowledgeable. I just liked them. They were honest and gave me a really thorough estimate and took a long time inspecting the roof. I've gotten a few estimates and this was the one where they really took a lot of time and explained everything and had everything drawn out. I was really pleased with them and that's why we chose them. I called several other roofers and a lot of them didn't even call me back or called two weeks later or just showed up when I wasn't there. Bone Dry Roofing has called me back three times since the estimate just to make sure I understood everything or if I had any questions. They have been very good. I think their prices are also comparable with everyone else I talked to.
Description of Work: We got an estimate and actually signed a contract for them to do our roof, but they haven't done it yet.

They are very professional and every one of them takes the time to look me in the eye and talk to me by explaining stuff. They never rush or anything and their quality is really good. They have strong warranties and I would absolutely recommend them to others. I got what I paid for with them. I would use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreUpdated above. Bought a house, roof needed minor repairs so the sellers agent had Bone Dry come out for estimate. After we closed on the house, tried sending emails to Tyler, and got no response. For weeks. Finally sent another email to bone Dry and Adam responded, was unsure why no one had contacted me, so he tried to get someone to call. Adam is the web guy, not even a sales person, and I got better service from him! Someone finally called but I have yet to hear back. This has been a month of trying to get a hold of anyone from Bone Dry. Frustrating is an understatement. I now have water leaking onto my ceiling which could have been prevented. I would not recommend them based on communication. I have no idea if the work they do it good or not.
Description of Work: Tried to get anyone from Bone Dry to contact me, no one will respond to emails or phone calls. Update - Louie from bone dry contaced me and was apologetic that someone did not call me back. He had someone come today to fix the roof. They were on time and fast. The work looks good. Once the communication issues were worked out, I found the people at bone dry to be courteous and professional. I will use them again

+ -1 moreEverything started off well. Carl showed up at my house the same day I called to give me an assessment and estimate for the work that I needed. He was very professional and informative. He was the most professional of the three roofing companies that I had look at the roof. I called the office two days later to schedule the work. I signed and emailed the work proposal. I was told that the work should happen in about a week to a week and a half. This is where the main problems came in. I called a week later because I had heard nothing back. I was told that I would get a call a few days before the work was to happen. I waited another week and then called to cancel because I hadn't heard anything. When I did this, I promptly got a call from Lance who explained that they were running a little behind but that he would get to me on a Thursday, which was about another week. He then called on Thursday and said he was a little behind but he would make it that evening. I told him it would be ok if he needed to come Friday. They did show up early Friday morning and complete the work. If the communication had been better in the beginning, I would have had a lot more faith. I think I would use them in the future, but I would definitely consider other companies as well because my experience was not great, just ok.
Description of Work: Had an 11 foot section of roof replaced which included tear off and replacement due.

I was looking forward to having them repair all of my damage from the spring storm, especially after reading all the great reviews here on Angie?s List. They sent a young man from the Indy office to provide a quote, Tyler. He was very professional and polite. I received his quote before the insurance adjuster had completed their repair quote. Bone Dry was higher on almost every item so the insurance company contacted Tyler directly to discuss pricing. The insurance company called me back and told me they and Tyler had come to an agreement on the price to complete all repairs ?roof, gutters, vinyl, fascia. I was very happy because I was looking forward to using them. I sent Tyler another email stating the price quoted by the insurance company and he responded that he would not do it for that price. He was still over $1000 higher. I had asked for larger gutters, which was some of the difference, but when I asked what price they had agreed to with the standard gutter I never received another email. No response whatsoever! I received another quote from a different roofing company who also has an ?A? rating on Angie?s List and they were $1500 less than Bone dry on the roof alone (they also hand nail roofs which was important to me). They are also under the insurance quote by quite a bit. Hopefully, the Louisville branch of Bone Dry doesn?t do this to people on a regular basis. If the second company can do it for under the insurance quote- you would think Bone Dry could too!
Description of Work: No work was performed because they agreed to pricing with the insurance company and then changed their mind after agreeing to the price.

We got a hold of them it took three more times before they came out one was not their fault it was raining. When they finally showed up he measured the roof and did an OK job. He said he was going to e-mail us a report on our roof . It has been over two weeks and we have not had any updates or follow up. I would not recommend them.

+ -1 moreThe quality of work was great and they did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. Prior to having Bone Dry install the roof we had 6 or 7 box vents which are not very efficient. We opted to have the box vents replaced with ridge vents and are so glad we did. The house seems to stay cool for longer periods of time and so we are not turning on the air conditioner as often as we did before. Bone Dry provided before and after pics which I greatly appreciate. Louie, the estimater, was punctual and efficient. The gentleman who oversaw the roof replacement was professional, yet warm. I never felt uncomfortable throughout the whole process. I would have no problem recommending Bone Dry to anyone.
Description of Work: I used Bone Dry Roofing to replace my roof, install new ridge vents, and replace the chimney cap.

They did exactly what they said they would do in a timely fashion and did an excellent job and we would recommend them for mail boxes. I don't see how they could have done a better job. They started it on Thursday and complete led it in one day with the exception of putting the brick down. They have one more step to do and that is putting the waterproofing down. For all intents and purposes they are done. We didn't get bids because we were in a hurry but the best I can tell from the time spent plus materials I'd say it was the best. My own personal opinion is they were very fair. We would call them again if needed and we would certainly recommend them.

+ -1 moreBone Dry Masonry has worked on two projects for our 1939 brick home: cleaning and tucking the bricks below our bow window and repairing and restoring a large brick porch deck. The brick porch deck has never looked this good in all the years that we have had the house. Because of weather extremes (heat and rain in the summer, ice and snow in the winter) any horizontal surface takes stress. The brick masons from Bone Dry repaired, leveled, and restored the brick porch deck and kept the historic look that matches the house. The project managers were thorough with pre and post work-day follow up. The masons were expert in their skills. The work and clean up were professional quality. I was consulted when there were any options for solutions. I am very pleased with the outcome of the project work and the professionalism of all who worked on the project.
Description of Work: Brick tuck repair of bow window sill and repair/restore of historic brick front porch deck.

+ -1 moreJob went very smooth. Jon Boswell and crew were very prompt and professional. We had a leak that had been causing problems for some time which only occurred in strong blowing rain storms. They were able to locate problem area by inspecting bay window area roofing/flashing and performing a water test. Crew came and replaced brick in above window ledge and applied water sealant to area. They arrived when promised and performed work in a neat and orderly fashion, and cleaned up work area nicely. Would definitely recommend services to family and friends and would not hesitate to call them again.

+ -1 moreI was very impressed with Louie, the General Manager who gave me the original estimate and with Carl, the Production Manager. They were very friendly and seemed honest and sincere. As an added bonus, Carl discovered that my bathroom exhaust fan was vented into attic rather than outside. He went to a home store, bought a part and vented the fan to outside. The charge for that was *no charge* As you can see, I was very impressed by this company. I found them on Angie's List. Thanks Bone Dry and thanks Angie.
Description of Work: I had a full roof replacement on my very old two story home. They tore off old shingles. That's when they discovered lots of wood damage under the shingles- it was very rotted. They estimated much of the wood was original (from 1910). I really liked the fact that they took pictures of all the damage then showed them to me, before I agreed to the work. All the plywood and labor for the wood replacement bumped my estimate up by around $800.00. Their Angies List coupon brought that down a bit. After looking at all the rotted wood lying in the yard, I realized the extra $800 was well worth it. The whole crew was so fast - they were done in one day. In that one day, the tore off old roof and hauled off, replaced lots of plywood, put new shingles on, added flashing to damaged chimney and to pipe, added 32' ridge vent, drip edge, and gutter apron. All nails and mess was cleaned up and they were gone by 5:00PM.

+ -1 moreI can't imagine it going any better. A roof replacement can be a pretty nerve wracking experience, but I never felt nervous or apprehensive about who I chose to do this job. Carl, the project manager made sure everything was done right and he knows his stuff. For this homeowner, Bone Dry makes the job of deciding who to contact for roofing needs a lot less stressful.
Description of Work: The great Hail Storm of April 28 ravaged my mom's home. Almost immediately the storm chasers were circling the neighborhood looking for carcasses to pick. Within the next couple of days yard signs started popping up from many roofing companies I'd never heard of. "Don't panic" I told myself. Do your due diligence and get estimates from local, reputable companies. The first company I contacted was Bone Dry. After three other estimates, I knew without a doubt Bone Dry would be my roofing contractor. And my decision wasn't made solely based on price. Their quality of work can't allow them to be the cheapest. Things like lining the valleys with ice and water shield, reflashing the chimney, hand nailing the shingles. Important things that many contractors won't do, but are essential for a quality roofing job. And these are the things that enable Bone Dry to give the homeowner a roofing warranty that is unparralled. There's plenty of quality contractors, but you won't see them knocking on doors or leaving brochures in your mail box. They don't have to. Their reputations are all they need to generate business. And they won't tell you, "Don't worry about the cost, the insurance company will pay whatever we tell them". Yeah, right! If you don't want a future battle with your insurer, take that statement with a grain of salt. Every step of the way Bone Dry was upfront, honest and responsive. Their estimate was the closest to what my insurer allowed and the job went as smooth as clockwork. In one day, they had 26 squares torn off the house and garage and reshingled. On the job at 7:00 AM and worked until the last rays of daylight. They left the job site spotless that same day and returned to reflash the chimney the next morning. Cody, Louie, Carl and the crew are committed to customer satisfaction. Pure and simple. Get multiple estimates and then compare them. But don't base your decision on price alone. Look at the whole picture. With over 90 reviews that are mostly A's, BBB accreditation and A+ rating Bone Dry should definitely be worth considering.

+ -1 moreDue to the hail in early March we sustained hail damage to roof & gutters. Insurance adjuster inspected & determined the roof & gutters need replacing & we had to obtain a reputable contractor. I checked Angie's list along with BBB and obtained list of contractors along with estimates. I was very impressed with Louie and the presentation of the work and products being used for the replacement. Our association met-members reviewed all estimates,paperwork obtained and all voted to have Bone Dry to the work. I contacted Louie of our decision & he came immediately- set date for work to be performed. The day work was to be started- shingles were delivered and workers showed up early & work began. The roofers were very friendly and made sure all items were removed from patio and surrounding areas to prevent damage - they worked very hard- till 7:00 the first night-it started to rain-they made sure the roof was tarped & cleaned driveways before leaving- returned next day early to complete roof job. Job was completed-clean-up was very good and items replaced on patios on surrounding areas. Gutter people came next day & replaced gutters and down spouts. During the entire job, either Louie or Carl was on job site the entire time to make sure everything was going smooth. After work was completed, Carl returned next day for a walk-thru inspection with owners, some items along with additional clean-up was needed- he made a call - they came the afternoon of same day and took care of items pointed out in walk-thru inspection. All the unit owners were very impressed with the work and the way job was handled. Entire job was completed in 3 days! We would definitely use Bone Dry again and would not hesitate to refer them as a top rated contractor.

+ -1 moreAfter obtaining several estimates, we chose Bone Dry Roofing to replace our 5 year old roof which we lost over 75% of when Hurricane Ike send 80-90 mph winds into our area (yes, in Kentucky!). Their estimate was by far the best we received using the type of dimensional shingles we wanted. They came when they said they would, took only as long as they predicted they would and cleaned up the mess thoroughly. They did an excellent job with the installation and we have had no problems whatsoever since the new roof was applied. I highly recommend this company.

+ 1 moreJon Boswell was very good at explaining what they needed to do. They arrived when they said they would and completed the job in a reasonable time. I was very pleased with them matching the new brick up with the old brick. I thought it was rather expensive, but I didn't get any other estimates to compare, so I can't really say. I have been using Angies List and I trust it because it has been very reliable. I did call a couple of other masonry companies, but they didn't show up to even give me an estimate. I have waited to turn in this rating because I had tried several times to have this problem fixed. There have been several good rains and I have NO leaks. I am very pleased with their work. Jon Boswell has checked back with me a couple of times making sure that I am satisfied, not many companies do this. They have a referral plan and I referred a couple of my friends which used the company. The company was very prompt in sending me the gift card they promised for a referral. It was a big job, but I don't have any complaints. They told me what they would do and they did it. Great Job Bone Dry Masonry!
Description of Work: They rebuilt the chimney down to the roof. The brick faces were popping off and letting water seep through the bricks. Put a new 4" concrete crown on top with a 2" overhang. They put a masonry water repellent on the chimney down to the ground. After it was all done, Bone Dry Roofing came out and put on new flashing and shingles. They installed new plywood underneath where the old plywood had deteriorated.

They cleaned up everything afterwords. The work looks great. Overall a good experience with two situations I did not have much knowledge of what to do or how to fix myself. I would use again in the future.
Description of Work: I had old gutters removed and replaced with new larger gutters plus a leaf guard system. Additionally I had the flashing repaired around my Mothers Chimney on her house.

Lance did both jobs, and he showed up when he promised, worked diligently the whole time he was here, and did a great job. He also cleaned up after the job, leaving no trace that he had been here--except for a repaired roof.
Description of Work: Bone Dry removed several bad shingles from over my front porch area and repaired the entire area with a sealer product and new shingles. In addition, they redid the flashing on both sides of the dormer facing the front of the house.

+ -1 moreI sent an email to Bone Dry on a Sunday night requesting a quick roof evaluation in response to an Inspection Report deadline. I didn't expect to hear from them until the next day, but I had a return email within hours setting up a time to come out and do the evaluation within 24 hours. Their report was timely, thorough and satisfied all requirements by the Inspector/Buyer. In addition, they answered all my questions and responded promptly throughout the process. The Inspection Report said my roof needed repairs but, after walking the roof, Bone Dry clarified there was only some minor blistering and sent photos as back-up. A less trustworthy company could have at a minimum told me to replace some shingles, but Bone Dry can be counted on to give a true evaluation even if it means they don't make money on it. Thank you Cody & Louie! I recommend them highly!
