Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Louisville

This is really 2 reviews in 1, as I had Bone Dry come out for 2 different jobs, and I'm just now getting around to writing up a review. The cost of service is the total of the 2. Separately, they were: roof repair - $1080 / N-49 insulation - $2988. I have also attached some 'before' (by me) and 'after' pictures (by Bone Dry). I was impressed when Philip Baumann did his evaluation. I had just gotten an estimate from another company (recommended to me by my insurance agent) whose rep had looked at my photos, and then climbed on a chair on the back porch to eyeball the area of missing shingles [around a vent]. Philip declined to look at my photos, instead choosing to set up his ladder and, climbing up onto the roof, inspected the leaking area AND the entire roof, took his own photos AND videos, came back in, went up into the attic, inspected the water stains, evaluated the insulation while he was up there, came back down, reviewed the photos & videos with me, suggested what needed to be done, and gave me a verbal estimate within 15 minutes. I had the written estimate via email within the hour (appointment at 10; email by 1130). Also, he offered to have someone come out and put up a tarp to cover the area around the vent until we could schedule a time for the repair work. That repair was done around Jan 2nd, which, by the way, included fixing up the nearby vents that were starting to look a bit dicey. The guys took photos of the repairs as they were working, and the office later emailed them to me. How cool is that! Feb 12, Bone Dry took care of my attic insulation, taking it from 4" & bare spots to a well-covered level R49 (17"). Cory and Adam couldn't have been nicer, and they were very knowledgeable, answering questions I didn't know to ask until I watched them working. So yeah, I highly recommend Bone Dry Roofing.

Service rep made thorough inspection, identified problems and prepared repair estimate. Work was scheduled as soon as weather permitted. Work crew was prompt, efficient and clean.

How shall I start? I don't particularly care myself for long reviews, so I’ll cut it short. I could write a book on how great I think Bone Dry Roofing Company is, they were professional from start to finish. Dealing with Adoon and Philip was a pleasure, they are just great guys!!! They worked up an estimate for our church which included roofing, gutters and the tuck point. There was a different crew for each area of work and different good supervisors along the way. Some stood out more than others for the their excellent work. They would inform us/me of the project and the progress of the work by email, text and photos. This was very handy when I wasn’t able to be on location. Each crew knew their work and what they were there to do. They kept the job site safe and cleaned up after work daily. They were very helpful and willing to answer any questions we would have. I even had an opportunity to speak personally with the general manager, (L.L.) and by text with the owner, (G.J.). I informed him that he had a great company that he should be proud of; their Louisville location especially. To tell you the truth, Bone Dry Roofing is a company I would be proud to own myself, but I doubt I would be able to run it as well as the present owner. I would certainly recommend Bone Dry Roofing to anyone. Thanks again to Bone Dry Roofing for the great work and to the many crew members and supervisors who worked on this project.

Justin arrived early and completed a very thorough inspection of the roof and the attic. He explained in detail what area he inspected and the state of the roof/attic. In his analysis he demonstrated competence and professionalism, I'll definitely call them again should my roof need maintenance/repair or replacement.

Very well. Jose discussed my options in detail and provided expert opinion for the most cost effective solution to the problem while also matching my existing roof. He responded to my calls and concerns promptly. Repair tech Edgar was very professional and skilled, also taking the time to address my concerns. He had no problem with me joining him up on the roof a few times (my ladder) to see how it was going. The repair was quite a bit of work, going late into the day, but he made sure it was done right. Great documentation including before, during, and after photos. I am practically a total do-it-yourselfer and a retired engineering manager. I know quality, professionalism, and service. I got all with Bone Dry and am very satisfied.

We couldn't be more pleased! Daniel came out, inspected our roof and took photos; showed us the problem area and recommended repairs to address the issue. He did not try to sell us a new roof or unnecessary repair work. We scheduled the needed repair work and Edgar came out and performed the repairs as described. He kept us informed of the process and texted us pictures as well. He worked efficiently and cleaned up everything when he was done. We were very pleased with the finished product as well as the entire process. Both Daniel and Edgar were on time, very professional and answered all of our questions. We would definitely use Bone Dry again and highly recommend this company.

Working with Philip Bauman and Bone Dry Roofing has been a great experience! After receiving storm damage, we had a few different companies come out to give us estimates on replacing our roof and gutters. Out of all of them, Bone Dry was the most thorough by far. They actually recorded video while on the roof of their inspection, showing us the problems they found and went into detail explaining them. They also came out during the insurance adjuster's inspection to go over the findings with him, then had their team go over the adjustor's quote to help us get the maximum amount for our insurance claim! During the follow up visit, Phillip explained everything they could do for us, the options available to us, and the materials they would be using in detail, never once pressuring us. They also worked with the amount our insurance company was paying, insuring that our out of pocket expenses were minimal. Our job was done in two parts, roofing one day and gutters a few days later because they were using two separate crews that specialized in those specific duties. During both jobs, crews arrived promptly at the scheduled time. I was not only given updates by text throughout the day, they also sent pictures and video of each step of the process! Both the roofing and gutter jobs were finished within the day they were scheduled during the estimated time frame that was given, all mess was cleaned up, and I was given a walk through by the job supervisor. Phillip also followed up after both jobs to answer any questions we had and to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. Phillip and the staff at Bone Dry were always very courteous and friendly when dealing with us, very prompt in returning calls, and always there to answer any questions we had. Bone Dry Roofing understands what it means to provide great customer service and professional results. I would not hesitate to recommend them!

I thoroughly researched several top-rated roofing companies on Angie's List. Bone Dry was the quickest to respond to any call/email plus provided the most comprehensive information with their quote, including pictures. The only difficulty I had with their quote was getting other companies to provide enough information so I could fairly compare. I even sent a list of 17 follow-up questions to them to which they responded in great detail. Phil Bauman and Cory Fulks were fantastic. The prep, installation, and clean up all went very well. Cory sent me progress pictures throughout the day. Bone Dry is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor - they are held to Owens Corning's highest standards. This means the highest quality materials, workmanship, and warranties. Their pricing was very competitive and they offer very attractive financing options.

Bone Dry was one of the very few companies that would take on the replacement. When the original team from Indianapolis (headed by Tim, who got the project off to a very good start) could not finish the job due to materials on back order , Adoon (manager, Louisville office) personally oversaw the project to completion. I appreciate Adoon's professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. Very nicely done!

They kept rescheduling the work without letting us know. I would call about an hour after they were supposed to arrive, only to be told that they had to postpone the work because of missing equipment or weather. After the third no-show, I found someone else to do the work.

After they installed my new roof, they came back to install new gutter covers. They had installed new gutters last years. The installation was very smooth and easy. They did a great job cleaning up and were very fast.

They came out as scheduled, on time, and completed all work quickly. You cannot tell they did anything as the shingles match the older roof so well.

It was a good experience. They just explained things well.

Did an excellent job. Excellence response. Very professional and the clean up was very good. Would recommend them to any one who needed these services. I did have to do some minor paint touch up after the roof replacement.

Bone-Dry was honest and caring. Instead of just covering up mistakes that were made by that god-awful prior roofing company because the repair thereof was not included in the original bid, Bone-Dry's exceptional workers told me about the problem and helped me find and complete a solution. My box gutters, as well as my flat porch roof, are now draining as they should and my house looks so much better.

I had a great experience with Bone Dry. They set up an estimate on a Saturday; wires got crossed, and no one showed up. But when I called to ask why, the man on call (Roger) apologized profusely and came over right away to give me an estimate. The estimate was far lower than many others. The work was completed quickly, and well, and I was texted pictures to document the job. When I called them back to complain about a gutter I believed they had damaged in the process, they came back to the house. It turned out they hadn't damaged my gutter--it was my chimney cap that was knocked off during a storm--but they reattached it anyway for no charge. I was really impressed with all aspects of their work.

I was very impressed and satisfied with the work done on my roof and the insulation. They impressed me from the get go with the estimate and the work was completed on February 2, 2017. I couldn't ask for a better experience! They were not the cheapest bid but they took photos and videos of my roof prior to the job being done to highlight the trouble spots and while the roofing was being done. Phil Bauman did a great job in working with me through the whole project as well as the foreman Corey, the day of the roof and insulation job. I would definitely recommend this company! They care about the customer.

Perfectly, exactly what I needed and it protected my complete house. The repairs took 1 repairman about a half-day to complete the repairs.

It went fine. They did a great job and I am pleased with what they did! They were really good about answering any questions that we had with a quick response and the foreman was very attentive.

Service was performed and a report and video was done to show me. It was determined that not much could be done because I needed a new roof. I was, however, very satisfied with the service for the coupon. The owner sent a rep back out to give an estimate for a new roof, but the price was very high - that is the reason that I will not use them again. Just too expensive.
