Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Louisville

My experience with Jon Boswell an Jeremy Marowelli and Louie Leger the manager was best. They were very professional, helpful and listened.

Bone Dry Masonry, Great Job. Very professional. Jon and Jeremy were very professional and made sure I was happy with the job. Met one of the workers, very friendly and professional. Stacie was very helpful and professional scheduling appointments. After the job the crown coat looked fine, but wasnt quite the color I was wanting. I asked Jeremy if he could make it a little darker brownish red. Jeremy dropped off several brick samples a day or two later to make sure I'd be happy. Made my choice and the job was finished a couple days later. They followed the manufactors guidelines and made repairs in several steps allowing for proper drying in-between. They could have cut corners and did it all in one day saving them time and money. and I would have been none the wiser. The Chimney looks great. Bone Dry Roofing did my roof a little over a year ago and did a great job as well.

The roof estimatator was very proffessional, however, after tearing off the roof there was alot of old / damaged wood. This called for covering my entire roof in new wood. This ended up costing quiet a bit more money than I had been told / anticipated. However, there is no way to know this until the roof is torn off, so I understood. My Production Mgr., Roger Watkins did an outstanding job in working with me to get all the necessary repairs done in a mutually agreeable way. In the end, I have a much better roof than I did before they started. Bottom line, the roof looks great!

Bone Dry gave us two possible options with a soid estimate on each. From the start they were professional and responsive to our questions and concerns. The work was begun at the worst possible time of year for them--mid winter. They tented and heated the work area, completed the job in a timely manner, and cleaned up the work area completely. The finished product looks and works like new. We are thrilled and are using them again for a similar problem on another chimney in the house.

I had a bad experience with them. They wanted to charge me $3000 to tear down the chimney and rebuilt it. That is why I got suspicious and went somewhere else. I didn't go with them because I thought their estimate was ridiculous. Other people who looked at the same work started laughing when I told them what they wanted to charged so that was it for them. They were very professional and personable and had a great brochure.

They were prompt and called before coming over every time. They even reminded me about the coupon on Angie's List, which I would have forgotten. We need some other work done and will be using their services.

My chimney had been leaking for a couple of years (to my knowledge, but could have been longer) so I had Bone Dry Masonry come out for an estimate. Jon Boswell emailed me the estimate with three options of repair. I like email so our correspondence was conducted in this manner. He gave me his opinion on what the best option was, which wasn't the most expensive, so it wasn't like he was trying to get more money out of my pocket. I liked that and went with his suggestion. They installed a stainless steel lid, TDW raincap and storm collar as well as 30 tuck points. Jeremy Marowelli called to let me know what day he was coming out to take care of the work so I would know they were coming. I was at work so I was good with that. He also called the morning they got there and when the initial work was complete. We setup a time the next day for me to make payment and also for him to clean up the brick. He'll be back out in a week or so (weather permitting) to appy two coats of water repellent to complete the job. Jeremy was very well spoken and explained in detail the job that he performed and left me feeling confident in my choice of Bone Dry Masonry to take care of my chimney repair.

After getting estimate from bone dry roofing, and sending it to insurance (because of hail damage) we had roof on in no time. Very pleased

BoneDry was great from beginning to end. I had heard from others that they were a little more expensive, but worth the cost. Turns out, they were right in the middle of all my estimates! During the estimate process they took a considerable amount of time explaining the process and my options. I never felt pressured into buying anything. From the first phone call to the follow-up, they were very responsive; I had three different cell phone numbers of employees I could call with questions (and I did have a few- they answered each one quickly). In the process of having my roof replaced, they found structural damage. They immediately stopped work, showed me the problem up close, and gave me different options for what to do next. They were in and out in one day, left my yard very clean, and left me with a beautiful, warrantied roof. No problems at all. I would (and have) recommended them to anyone.

Arrived on time. Tore off roof and replaced it. Replaced turtle vents with ridge vents. Had Deck Armour put on also. Came back next day and finished up, and cleaned up.

I didn't use them because they are expensive.

I had previously used Bone Dry on a piece of rental property for storm damage and was extremely pleased with the quality of work performed. The house never looked better. From this experience I recommended them to do my son's roof which had been neglected for years. They came out and gave an estimate for replacing the roof, wrapping the fascia and soffit and installing a ridge vent and replacing the gutters, which was completed at a later date. The work was scheduled for after Thanksgiving, but a spot opened up and the work was completed before that with the exception of the gutters. Once again everything was done in a professional manner and the workmanship was excellent! We had a small issue around the chimney and they responded in a very timely manner to address the issue. I wish I had used them when I had my home's roof replaced earlier in the year from storm damage. I would definitely recommend Bone Dry for roofing and gutters and if the need should arise, I will use them again. I only have one small complaint and that is about their inter office communication. It could use a little work as they dropped the ball a couple of times on paperwork. Even at that, overall I am extremely pleased with their service and workmanship.

We had gotten an estimate for roof replacement on my son's home. They noticed cracks and issues with creek rock chimney and referred us to the masonry division. We were given two different estimates, one for a complete rebuild with warranty and one for repairs only. At this time, we chose the repair only option which did not include a warranty. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner. Cracks were filled, rain caps installed and coated with 2 coats of water repellent. Workmanship was excellent. I would definitely use Bone Dry again. Always pleased with the friendly and profeesional staff.

Do use Bone Dry...we have had great success with both our tuck point chimney work and the replacement of a huge rubber roof that now has a newer technology and a 12 year guarantee. We would'nt consider anyone else. A good roofer is hard to find.

After a recent wind-driven rain, I noticed a small amount of water in a basement area. When I traced it, it looked like it was coming from a pipe that goes up from the basement to the roof. I called a plumber, who checked it out and determined it was not a compromise of the pipe but, possibly, a compromise of the roof. I had used Bone Dry Roofing before to repair two valleys with leaks and was very pleased with the work. So, I called Bone Dry again, explained what I was seeing and asked for an appointment to get it looked at and an estimate. Originally, it was going to take about 2 weeks for someone to come out but I got a call a couple days afterward that an appointment was available. Louie came out as the estimator as on the previous job. He is absolutely a gem to do business with - very professional, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain what is going on and to show pictures so I could see the problems. Evidently, the flashings around the pipes were not properly installed when the roof was last replaced so, over time, compromises had developed that allowed rain to blow under them during wind-driven rains. He also noted that my tubular skylights needed to be re-caulked to avoid a future problem. He gave me an estimate of $375, which included a discount as a repeat, Angie's List customer. Included in the estimate were the following: (1) replace the 3 3" pipe boots in the back of the house using neoprene, (2)add ice and water shields to all pipe boots, (3) reshingle, (4)add 3" rain collars to each of the 3 pipe boots, (5)nail down bobble skylights on back slope and caulk, (6)seal down all repair areas, (6)clean up and haul away trash. I accepted the estimate and was told someone from production would contact me. Since I was expecting a heavy wind-driven rain the following week and had not received a call from production, I called Bone Dry to see if someone could come out and do the job before the rain. That wasn't possible because of their workload but was told they would come out and install a tarp. Since there would be a $100 charge, I decided to wait until I could be scheduled. At about 3 weeks, I had not been scheduled so I called Louie and asked if he could check for me since I was concerned about future leaks into my basement. Within 5 minutes of my call to him, I had a scheduled date for the repair. The technician showed up promptly and did the work promptly. What impressed me is that it was one of the coldest days of the year! Everything was cleaned up. The production supervisor called the following day to see if everything was ok. I told him that I was sure it was but that I would go up on the roof the next day and check. If everything looked ok, I would drop the check in the mail that day. The roof looks awesome! Those boots and collars really improve the look of the roof and give me more confidence that I won't have future leaks from those areas. I could even tell that the skyIights look more secure. I don't know a thing about roofing but if everything looks good and snug, then I trust that the job is well done. I like that they hand-hammer the nails into the roof instead of using the gun and I know the technician hand-hammered each one because I could hear him from inside the house! It was no gun! This company has my confidence because everyone, especially Louie, comes across as professional and compentent. I really don't know if the "price is right" but when I feel like I'm working with professional, competent people who take the time to educate me, I'm willing to pay for that trust.

Company came out and gave us a bid to rebuild the top portion of chimney. They followed up on the bid via a phone call a few weeks later. Once we accepted the bid, they scheduled the job...showed up when they said they'd be here, were polite & respectful, cleaned up after themselves. It was a two day job - they communicated when they were coming and going...even telling me when they were taking a lunch break! We are very happy with the repairs and especially impressed w/ Bone Dry Masonry's professionalism. We would defintely recommend them and will use them again for our masonry needs.

My experience with Bone Dry Roofing was top notch. The whole experience from the bidding process, the interaction with the office staff, the very professional quality installers and the personal oversight of the foreman. My new roof is a true improvement not only to my house but to the neighborhood. i would definitely use this business again and would recommend them to anyone in need of roofing.

They showed up on time and did good work. It was a two day job. They had to come back and fix some things but overall I was happy with the service.

They came and did the work, and the work was done well however I felt like the follow up wasn’t there. We had problems with their roofing division later on because I had a roof leak and wanted to get an estimate from them. They were supposed to come out and give me an estimate on repair and I called and called and called and ended up going with someone else because they never followed up with me.

Of all the bids I received Bone Dry was the most prompt and curtious. Met with the rep to sign the contract, scheduled the service, and everything went according to schedule.

I felt that they gave an honest assessment of the different repair options available, and didn't only recommend the most expensive one. Though I don't know much about roofing, none "talked down" to me, and were very respectful. The folks in the office are also incredibly friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this company.
