A & R Cleaning Service

The house had not been lived in or cleaned in a long time, so it was in need of a serious cleaning. They did a good job of preparing the house for us to move in. Even the bathroom that needs a lot of work looked pretty good when they were done. There was a mishap with one of the windows, that was taken care of in a professional manner. Overall well worth the cost.

Apparently, the company is trying to expand from house cleaning to carpet cleaning. The were overwhelmed with customers from the Angie's List sale but that is not an excuse for poor work. He spent four hours working. If he knew what he was doing or had the right equipment this review might have turned out differently. The carpet was less than four years old and was just usage stained, nothing unusual. The carpet is now correctly cleaned and I would be willing to use this company again. Just make sure they are not overbooked so you get the people who know what they are doing and you should be fine.

They did an excellent job. We had a badly stained area and they got rid of the stain. Very professional group of people. A+

Everything about A&R is professional. The owner scheduled a time to come out for an estimate and arrived promptly. She estimated the number of hours and gave me an hourly rate. They worked fast and finished 2 hours earlier than anticipated. The work was top notch and included floors, windows, appliances, countertops, etc. we have decided to become a regular customer of A&R's.

the work was professionally done. Rosie first came to our house and provided information. The house needed to be cleaned top to bottom and we will follow with regular update. We expect the regular cleaning cost will around $115. The team came on time and did an amazing job in cleaning the entire house. Rosie also showed me what type of floor cleaner to use on our new engineered hardwood floor. There was lots of construction dirt and it was all gone. The team brought all of their own equipment and cleaning solutions.

The cleaning person I had before wanted to retire and spend more time with the grand kids. It had been awhile without a cleaning service because it was difficult finding a new service and I had surgery/ and recovery. The house was overdue for some TLC. I called A&R Cleaning, and was impressed from the beginning. After discussing my needs with Rosie, we agreed on what services were needed and on the estimated time it would take. Then we selected a date. Since the deep cleaning takes several hours, it was set up On a Saturday. The cleaning crew arrived on time and started right to work, deciding on which rooms they would take. They moved furniture and cleaned under it, as well as underneath the cushions of furniture. Woodworking,window sills were cleaned, along with handprints on walls . Windows were washed on the inside. Floors were vacuumed and then cleaned. My hardwood floors looked better than they had in years. They cleaned the blinds and reconnected one that had come loose. The crew was professional in their interaction. I was very pleased, wished I had discovered them sooner. I plan to keep up the house cleaning on a regular basis.

I am so happy I used A&R cleaning. I recently bought a large house and the previous owner owned a cat. I wanted a service to come in and remove all the cat hair from the walls and carpet before I moved in. It was so bad, I couldn't stand in the house for more than 15 minutes before I started sneezing. Rosie came on time and gave an estimate, as well as described all the services she and her team would preform. Her crew was polite and friendly, and stayed within the time quoted. She also was able to start immediately, and had a crew ready to go. I honestly was blown away with how clean the house was after they finished. It was so much more than I expected. All the carpets were cleaned, every surface, window, wall, and blind was washed down, the floors shown, and the bathrooms looked amazing. I haven't sneezed since, all the cat hair is gone. Rosie was great to work with as she walked through the house for the final inspection. When they left I felt like I had a brand new house. I would recommend this company for anyone moving into a new house, it really was an amazing experience, or anyone just looking for a good house cleaning. : )

I contacted A&R cleaning service on the day I needed the service (during derby week, no less). My move was not going well, and I needed to be sure that I get the house cleaned prior to closing. Rosie arrived and gave me a quote on cleaning a 3BR/2BA split level house that was partially packed. Her crew did an incredible job working around me and even helped me load the last of my stuff into the uhaul. Even with this she was able to efficiently finish the job in about 2 hours. I would definitely use this company again.

Rosie was very courteous and as much as I dislike giving negative reviews, a very simple job was a train wreck from the beginning. She was several hours late for the estimate appointment and the crew was several hours late for the cleaning appointment. I was given a time estimate based on a 4 person crew and only a 3 person crew showed up. There was really a very limited cleaning that was discussed. The house was mostly vacant, the bathroom had fresh grout, caulk and trim and the carpets had been professionally cleaned the previous day. So there was no vacuuming or thorough scrubbing requested or needed. Although I had emphasized the hardwood floor and kitchen exterior surfaces as my biggest concerns and specifically discussed the need to test a floor cleaning product before using it, the wrong product was used over all of the hardwood, except under the large area rug that was never moved until I asked. Nearly everything the supervisor checked had to be redone, wiping the countertops, dusting, wiping down what little furniture remained. Although scheduled to finish before 6, the crew didn't begin until around 5 and wasn't finished until 9, partially due to extra hour redoing the hardwood floor. It was the end of a long day for everyone and the crew cleaned like it was the end of a long day for everyone. I wasn't charged for the additional hour it took to redo the hardwood. What I was looking for, was a crew to do a very limited number of tasks thoroughly and that is far from what I received. I personally had to redo those areas to achieve the desired results. This was my first bad experience choosing a service provider on Angie's list based on their previous ratings and reviews.

I chose A&R Cleaning after reading some good reviews on Angie's List. I just purchased a 13 year old home and wanted it cleaned top to bottom. I called A&R Cleaning at noon and the phone was busy (didn't leave a message and was just going to wait to call back). Five minutes later, I got a call back. Rosie Laury from A&R came over at 6:30 later that same day for a consult. She told me that it was going to $95 an hour (more than I expected) and she estimated it would take 4-5 hours. The house is roughly 1600 square feet, 3 beds, two baths. She said that I would get a $40 discount for first-time customer. She also said that since she estimated 4-5 hours, I would not get charged for more than 5 hours if it did take longer. Rosie came by the very next day to get started at 4:30. She gave me a call 45 minutes before they finished. They finished at 9:30. Total cost was $435. Everything looked amazing. The interior of all the windows were clean. So were the blinds, window sills, doors (they were really scuffed up and dirty before), light fixtures, fans, door sills and frames, trimming, inside of all the cabinets, appliances. The only places I felt I needed to go over my self was the very top of the kitchen cabinets, and some corners in the master bathroom but I was impressed with their thoroughness. I even had told her I was wanting to rip up the carpet in one bedroom closet because they didn't carry the wood floor from the room into it. And they ripped it up for me! They were all very friendly and nice. She gave me some recommendations on how to clean my wood floor. And I was impressed on how hard they worked even until 9:30 at night. I would definitely recommend them. The only drawback was the cost. But for cleaning the windows, blinds, and appliances, I felt I could justify spending that much.

Rosie's team arrived at our home on time and at the exact time they said they would be there. They had 3 people cleaning and they did a deep cleaning the first time, They changed the bed sheets, dusted and cleaned the fans and all of the woodwork. The bathroom was gleaming and the floors were shining when they were finished. Every room smelled so clean. They charge more for the first deep cleaning, but the price for the bi-weekly cleaning is very fair. They have been back several times and the quality of work has remained the same. Both my husband and myself are totally pleased. We shoud have done this sooner. Thank goodness we found A & R services. I did check Angie's List before I called to make an appointent. Since they had recieved such I good rating, I as confindent in my choice.

Overall they did very, very well. They underestimated the time it would take to clean and I had to rush them out because company was coming. They did an excellent job!!

Was a little late arriving but after arrival, a great job was done. I would recommend this company.

The owner, Rosie, came to my home to do the estimate the week before and applied the Angie's List discount to the total price. The crew of 4 arrived on time the date of the cleaning. After showing them around and making sure they had no questions, I was off for work. When I returned they had cleaned the entire home, down to all of the windows, inside & out. Everything that I wanted cleaned and more was done very thoroughly and everything put back in place. Rosie called me later in the week and I told her I was very pleased and would use the service on a monthly basis. I was very pleased with the process from start to finish!

Rosie and her crew arrived when stated and were efficient and cleaned paying attention to detail. They were in and out without disruption.

They are always courteous and prompt. If they cannot make it on time they always call and let me know.

Rosie responded right away to my phone call and came out to see my house the next day. She was able to squeeze me into her very busy schedule before I had relatives invade my house. She and her crew were Awesome! The house was so clean and smelled so wonderful!! The crew were all very polite and courteous to me and my kids. Will definitely have her out again!

Rosie and her team were very professional. The cleaned all 5,200 square feet of my home from top to bottom in every nook and cranny and everything was perfect when they finished. The price was a little higher than I expected, but it was well worth it! Rosie and team went beyond the hours quoted and stayed/cleaned until the job was well done. We can't imagine being more thrilled with the service Rosie and her staff provided!!I had initially contacted a franchise cleaning service, which as it turns out did not provide service in Southern Indiana. Lucky for us, because I would not have turned to Angie's list and found A&R Cleaning Service. Rosie answered the contact phone number promptly and she subsequently made a visit to our home to do an estimate. It was clear that she was very professional and conscientious. We scheduled the cleaning for a couple of weeks later, because of the constraints of my schedule. Rosie and three members of her staff arrived right on time with all equipment and supplies. They got right to work, completing very thoroughly and efficiently one room at a time under Rosie's excellent supervision and direction. You could not find four more courteous, attentive-to-detail, hard working, pleasant and helpful individuals than Rosie and her delightful staff. My husband commented how nice it was that they seemed to enjoy their work and had such an excellent service ethic. As soon as I saw how great our sliding glass doors and our interior doors looked in the first room they tackled....(I still don't know how they got them both so clean!).... I knew that they were going to do a great job. I was very impressed by many details of the service, like...Bringing several large bags of cleaning cloths, which no doubt contributed to how great the windows and glass doors lookedThe scale that collects on and around faucets was totally gone on every one.The kitchen appliances were all thoroughly clean.Each one of them carried a step ladder everywhere they went... truly top to bottom cleaning!The Baseboards and walls were spotless.Doing both sides of Exterior doors.Going "above and beyond".... they swept three porches that were not "part of the deal." Eight hours after they started all three floors of our home were the cleanest they have ever been. Given the excellent quality of the work, the time spent and the staff required, the fee was extremely reasonable, and to us worth every penny. Like other reviewers, we are looking forward to having them come on a regular basis to maintain our clean and fresh home. It has never been cleaner!

Called A&R on Monday to get an estimate on cleaning hardwood floors and, perhaps, a full cleaning of a condo that I'm preparing to sell. Rosie was professional and very responsive. She met me the next morning, gave me an estimate and agreed to perform the work that day. I am very happy with the results and, especially, the quickness, punctuality and professionalism shown by Rocie and her employees.

Rose and her crew arrived about 30 minutes late. She was late for the walk through also. This was the only compaint I had. They used mostly their own supplies. I did supply the paper towel and the brick cleaner. Rose and her crew of 3 additional workers took approximately 4 hours to do the deep cleaning. This was exactly what she had predicted the time frame would be. All of the cleaning she said she would do was done beautifully. I came back to the home to see what had been done and was very pleased.
