I prepaid for my service for 2010 with a credit card, yet each and every month I would receive a bill for service. I called each time I received a bill and was told they were "sorry" and they said they would take care of it. They did not take care of it at all. I asked them not to call me again, which of course they did anyway. No one at that company talks to anybody else evidently. I was "auto-renewed" in early 2011 and my yard treated without my consent. When I received the bill I called to complain and was told that they had been using auto-renew for years (which is not true - I have used this company in the past and was NEVER auto-renewed until 2011). They did agree to drop the bill and the service. My yard now looks SO bad, when they contacted me again in July 2011 I reluctantly agreed to a discounted rate with overseeding to be done in the fall. That was nearly a month ago and no one has been out to work on my yard. I have called three times since we agreed on the service and the price; their computer was down, so and so was out of the office, etc. etc. Do yourself a very big favor and don't get mixed up with this company.

So far they've been very good and the lawn looks great. One thing I've learnt about fertilization companies for lawn is that after they get your business they take you for granted so next you may do a different evaluation. Tru Green is so far so good, they have been very prompt and they've done what they've said. The lawn looks pretty good. I don't think they are the cheapest but they are definitely not the most expensive. I believe you get five or six treatments per year so that's pretty good especially on an acre of lawn. They've come out when they were supposed to. When we had rain in the spring and I asked them if I had gotten of their schedule, they said that they didn't and that they were just trying to catch up. Their responsiveness is good. There isn't a set time or anything where you have to be home but they just come. The guy always takes time to explain what he did. If they continue to do what they are doing, then yes I will use them in the future. We have lived in Michigan Florida and had lawn people that fertilize. The first year they can't do enough and the next year it seems like they don't know you. I will see on Tru Green next year but all my neighbors have them. I assume if they didn't do the job they'd be gone so I'm a little patient with that.

Scott's Lawn Service gave us a price in the spring to do 7 treatments over the course of the spring, summer, and fall. The first two services were satisfactory, however, now I have received three phone calls from their automated phone service alerting me that they will be servicing my lawn in the next two business days. No one has shown up in any of these instances and now they are over three weeks behind in servicing my lawn. I have spoken with their sales person who explained that they have had tremendous turn-over in personnel this summer and they are behind. When they miss a customer's scheduled appointment, that customer simply gets put back into their rotation and, in my instance, has been shifted downward in the priority list. I am a lawn-appearance freak! My lawn has shown the effects of not being properly taken care of.

They don’t try to sell their products. They do what I ask them to do and they don’t haunt me for all other stuff. The color of the grass is so much better. My neighbors still use other lawn service that I used to use before and the color of my grass looks darker than theirs. I do think the product is better. I had cut my grass once and it looked a little brown, then when I called them they came and told not to worry and they took care of it.

They used to apply the treatment even on rain and I don't know whether the product does really go to the soil or not. They used to call me very week and try to sell some products for trees and they always wanted to do something. It was just annoying and they did it constantly. I didn't like them because they used to put application in heavy rain. They also called me last week and left a message asking me why I am not using their services anymore. They were pretty responsive.

They do a fine job. I have been using them for 3 years and I will continue to use them in the future. They are very tidy and clean.

After the second treatment we noticed that our lawn was turning brown and beginning to die out. We spoke with the gentleman who treats the lawn. He said that it should come back after the next treatment and that he would put down granular fertilizer to help. The lawn continued to get worse. When we called and asked that someone come out and inspect the condition of the lawn, they sent the same lawn technician back to spray killer instead of an inspection. This hurt the lawn even more. We had to continually ask for them to repair the lawn and refund our money. They did come out and repair some of the front lawn and a few spots in the back yard, but did not repiar but approximately 50% of the total damaged area. When they came out to spot repair using a slit seeder, we could not see where any grass seed was being put on the yard, when we looked in the seed hopper it was empty. When confronted with this information, they told us that the machine was not working properly and that they were going to use a spreader to put it on later ( the purpose of the slit seeder is to put the seed in as the slits are created not later). When we ask if they were going to repair the rest of the areas in our yard they damaged we were told they would grow in (they had already loaded their equipment). They would only refund the last treatment because they said that is the one that caused the damage, even though we asked for an inspection after the second treatment. The manager is very inconsiderate --- "when we told him that we lost the use of our yard for the largest part of the year and our 1 year old son was not able to play in our yard because it was dirt, he said that we had the use of it in the spring before they started treating it". The manager is also very unprofessional as he does not respond to emails or calls in a timely fashion if he responds at all.

They are very dependable and responsive.

We were told that the company would remove specific weeds and this was guaranteed. We were told to expect a good lawn as a result of their treatments. We are responsible for watering and mowing the lawns to their guidelines. We did that. We had several treatments. The person sprayed the lawn without consideration of the boundaries - thus missing portions of the lawn each time. The specific weeds noted in the initial interview did not disappear. We complained. They sent someone to treat again. He did not spray in the correct places. We terminated the contract. You can do this work yourself with better results.

Very well as expected. We had some serious weed problems in our grass, after the first application, it got better.

Great, very punctual, professional service. They call you from time to time at home to make sure all is well.

The first year they did great. Then in summer of 04, they applied a treatment to my lawn during a drought period and burned the grass (turned it brown). I didn't learn my lesson. I allowed them to resume treatment in 05, and the same thing happened. I demanded a refund and canceled the service. One annoying thing about them is the constant phone calls trying to sell more services.
