Thorobilt did an excellent job of repairing and patching my roof. I just purchased the home and had some items from the inspection. They addressed each one and also found other items to correct. They offered great advice and information. They are able to do a lot of different things and they do them all well.

After purchasing the Big Deal unexpected travel made it difficult to schedule and I forgot about the Deal. I called the company four months after the expiration date and the owner very graciously said he would come out and do the check-up - no problem in making good on the offer even though he would have had every right to say no. Very pleasant, punctual, knowledgeable. Fortunately no work needs to be done now but would absolutely call Thorobilt when the time comes to do any work on the roof, or use them for other services.

Thoroughbuilt examined and tested to determine why my fireplace was leaking water whenever it rained. I had been working on this problem for over a year and had had various chimney and roofing folks out to determine what was wrong. I'd even paid for various remedies that didn't solve the problem, Thoroughbuilt experimented with plastic sheeting and duct tape to determine EXACTLY what the problem was AND then recommmended a business to correct it. They were absolutely correct!

The work was not performed.

The owner was prompt in giving an estimate and the work began within a week. I knew this was a small job for them but they fit it into the schedule quickly. The workers were on time, informative about what they were doing, and cleaned up after the job. I am pleased with their work and will definitely use them for larger jobs now that I have experience with the company.

They were great. My house is 7500 square feet and the roof is very pitched. The man was up on the roof for 4 hours or more. They earned every penny. It was an incredible deal. They cleaned it and it was sparkling.

Everything went very well. We could tell he was very busy, but he was very pleasant to work with, and very professional.

Excellent experience. Steve and his assistants completed the job to our satisfaction in a professional and timely manner. The job was completed quicker than we expected despite several unexpected issues.

At first they told me that they can do windows and then they referred me to somebody else for the window which was interesting. It took them a while to actually complete the work and they told me it was their busy time as all the customers were ordering stuff. The minute they sent me the bill they asked me the payment immediately. I told them that I was sorry but I would be paying in the same type of manner they did the work. So they gave at least the courtesy of 30 days. They didn’t want to do that though and they didn’t show me any response. They were nice sometimes but on the other times they were not. The price was fair.

They did a great job, fixed a few loose spots and let us know the age of the roof etc.

Most of us will admit that finding a trustworthy and high quality general home remodeling company can be a potentially stressful task. When my home recently needed unexpected and quick repairs, I decided I should first join Angie's List- as I really wanted access to local consumer reviews and honest feedback about multiple remodelers in my area. I have had several poor experiences over the years with recommendations to hire "a friend of a friend", and wanted to avoid that problem this time. I also wanted to be assured that the work would be done correctly, done right the first time and that I would not have to win the lottery to be able to pay for it. Since time was of the essence, and after joining Angie's List and reading several reviews (and thanks so much to those who write them- it was more helpful and reassuring than you know) I decided to call and/or email four remodeling companies that all had very positive reviews. A prompt response was hoped for but not really expected, yet Steve Farris of Thorobilt called me by the end of the same day. (By the way, I am still waiting to hear from two others...and one did efficiently respond within 48 hours.) Steve listened patiently to my situation and made arrangements to come to the house and assess the damage. He made arrangements to send me a written estimate, and it also arrived as promised. On the day of the repairs he and two of his workers arrived as scheduled and immediately set about doing the agreed upon repairs. They had to wait for the other vendors to remove the water heater and HVAC units from the utility closet but kept busy with the smaller tasks. Once the units were out of their way they busily went to work on the main project- the sub-flooring. The work was done quickly, professionally, and- most impressively- with little construction dust/debris. They repeatedly cleaned up the area as they went, which I really appreciated. The gentlemen doing the work were courteous and patiently endured my endless questions. If a near-emergency home repair can be a pleasant experience, then this was it. Steve was professional from the initial phone call all the way through to the end of the work. I am also confident in the level of expertise his workers displayed. I can- with great confidence- recommend Steve Farris and Thorobilt Construction. In fact, I have several other home repair/improvement projects on the horizon and plan to work again with Thorobilt on these projects. If their service, value, quality of work and/or professionalism do not live up to the standards they set on my recent project, I'll be sure to let you know. However, I anticipate writing more positive reviews for this business in the future, based upon my recent project.

I was very pleased with the whole project. I had company coming in October and had to have separate rooms for my guests. I called Steve on a Thursday night, he stopped by Friday to access the project and gave me an estimate. The work started that next Monday and was complete by Friday. The work was very professional and neat. Steve also noticed I needed a threshold to the bath and another small repair which he took care of as well. I would definitely hire Thorobilt Construction for any future projects.

Steve's bid was very competitive. He got to work right away. Every experience we had with his subcontractors was first rate. The work was done well, on time and on budget with no nasty surprises or hidden fees. Steve was very attentive to our requests for changes and maintained a high standard of workmanship throughout the process. We are very satisfied with the work done in our house. Trust me, Steve will not leave the project until you're happy.

They responded to my email promptly and clearly answered all my questions. They were punctual for the job and paid attention to detail. They seemed professional and cleaned up the work area before they were done. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Steve was very prompt. He and his workers solved every problem encountered with no delays. Communication is one of Steve's strengths. I received a twice daily report. When problems were encountered, they were explained fully with several options and suggestions.

They called at 7:15 am the next morning in response to my e-mail. They came about 2 pm that day and told us they could fix it right then. After sealing the roof, they also made other suggestions for repair which either we or they can carry out. The sealant stood up to a strong rain storm that week. They were the only one to respond of four I e-mailed. We plan to contact them in the future.

I appreciated how well inform Mr. Farris kept me. He did things in a timely manner and we had a good experience.

Very smooth looked at job gave an estimate was very helpful with suggestions. Estimate came in at budget workers showed up on time and did a great job. They had all the materials and equiptment. The job was on an old lake ccabin about 45 minutes from my residence and I did not feel the need to check on work being done. Left a key for the workers to come in and out on there own. Overall great experience the contractor was very professional as were his subs. Will definetly use again in the future.

Thorobilt was quick to respond to my request for a quote. The quote was neither the lowest or highest. I was impressed with Steve and I liked his explanation and his plan the best. The work was done very quickly and is high quality. I am very happy with my decision to use Thorobilt and I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Day one: removed old carpet and installed wood. Day two: sanded and sealed. Day three: put in shoe molding and sealed again.

Very Well. Everyone was on time and had the correct materials. The work was excellent and was finished on time.
