I was overwhelmingly pleased with the work John did. Not only was he on time and honest with his estimates, but his work was well above par. He accurately diagnosed the problem over the phone and was ready on site to fix it quickly. I was hanging around as he worked, and he was very good about explaining everything wrong with the existing work and even adapted his proposed solution to be over-engineered to account for a couple issues he found as he got into it. While we were talking, I just mentioned a couple of other issues I had noticed, but wasn't ready to have fixed and he was able to intelligently speak to their root cause and also about proposed solutions. Just to top it all off, he threw in a new aerator for a kitchen sink which needed it badly.

I pulled them of the list. He came the same day I called. Very reasonable prices. He fixed the problem. It was a good experience.

Great. Very prompt and courteous. The workmen were very competent. The only complaint (a very minor one) is that they kicked some mulch onto the sidewalk and did not clean it off.

They are prompt. They are careful not to damage anything unnecessarily and clean up thoroughly.

I had a pull-out kitchen faucet that snapped off with the base of the faucet still threaded into the hose. I purchased a replacement nozzle and hose at a home store with the intention of doing the job myself. After several days of procrastinating (and going without a kitchen sink) I decided to tackle the job first thing in the morning. I quickly realized I wasn't up to it and went to work. I first called my regular plumber who was backed up and couldn't get to it for a week. I called John Estes Plumbing based on their AL rating and explained to John what I needed done. He said he'd send someone over after lunch. John sent one guy who came while my wife was home in the afternoon. Plumber was there for about an hour fixing the faucet as well as a couple of leaking valves under the sink. He was very friendly and courteous but didn't indicate to her how much it would cost when he left, which left us a little nervous. So we were very pleasantly surprised when we received the final bill for only $60. We would definitely use them again.

Steve was a pleasure to work with. Very courteous and professional and did fantastic work. The problem came when they unblocked our sewage and there was a breakdown in communication and they did not get the sink unstopped. I called to inform them of the oversight and John yelled at me and became very confrontational. I called him back and told him I did not appreciate the way he had talked to me and would appreciate an apology and some professionalism. He said he was sorry he offended me and then proceeded to yell at me more and speak over me if I tried to respond. The next day he sent Steve to our house with instructions to get a check from my wife and leave. They left my wife at home with three kids, no tub, no bathroom sink, and a kitchen sink that was stopped up. NO RUNNING WATER. I tried to call him and was informed he was not taking calls. He has refused to return my calls for days now. Incredibly immature and irresponsible. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. It's a shame too, because I think Steve does a great job!

Great! They were on time. Did the job and did it well.

Had previous good experience with the company. Called their answering service Sunday night, to ask to be called first thing in AM for replacing a slowly dripping water heater. The service put me on the list. By 8:AM next day, I hadn't heard anything so I called. The plumber called back in 10 minutes, asked a few questions and was out to my house in 2 hours and he had the thing replaced and working in an additional 2 hours. I never got an original estimate, but I think the price is fair and the work is excellent.

The job went well, would use him again if I ever need a plumber.

They were easy to reach and came out within a few days. They got right to work and cleared the drain within no time. I have had no problem since. Highly recommend.

John rang the doorbell with the parts he needed in hand, knowing the kind of faucets our builders use. He was efficient (finished in about half an hour), courteous, and took care not to leave a mess. John chatted with me as he worked and told me exactly what he was doing. And of course, our faucets no longer leak. He charged $150 dollars total - parts were $60 each and $30 for labor. I have one negative comment: John was an hour later than promised, with no call. We had been told to expect a call at eight o'clock, but didn't hear from anyone until nine. This was somewhat of an inconvenience, since we had arranged our work schedules to be at home at eight. Would I hire this company again? Normally in this circumnstance, I would say "no," since my time is very important to me. However, John was so personable and trustworthy, that I believe I would.

John showed up when he had promised to do the estimate. He called the day before he came over to start the work and started the work one day before he had promised. He brought a respectable crew and finished the job in 1-1/2 days, although the original estimate had been for one day. He honored my request to replace plumbing in walls if I would cut the walls and repair them. He answered all my questions during the job and afterwards and followed up on a small leak and installed a pressure relief tank to take care of the water hammer since I now had good water pressure. His crew called my wife, "honey" which she hates. He charged at the high end of his estimate. The work looks pretty good - better than I could have done. He cleaned up 80% of the mess in the crawlspace and took it away. I'm satisfied.

Steve was very courteous and prompt. He explained what the problem was and was very professional.

I have using him for about 25 years. John Wigglesworth knows what he's doing and does what he says.

When we realized that there was a problem with the downstairs commode we called John Estes Plumbing and Heating. It was no problem for them to fit us into their schedule the same afternoon. With good service and good prices who could ask for more?
