From the day we met with Kevin Kelly of Distinctive Design Remodeling until the day the job was finished, I have been impressed with every person who has worked on our patio cover. On the day the demo took place, the company was there to haul off the broken brick and like clock work afterwards the trash was removed. The framers, the roofers, the aluminum installers, the electricians, the finishers, the mason and especially the project managers are all first-rate craftsmen and really nice people. Distinctive Design Remodeling will be the first company that I call when I need work done in the future. I would also advise anyone thinking of remodeling to call them. Call them first because you won't be disappointed as I also feel the price was very reasonable. David M

Nightmare from the start. Do not pay anything in advance. They left the job unfinished!! Wrong dimensions of the garage. I had to contact the building inspectors to make sure things were done to code. I had to hire someone else to complete the job!

We are extremely satisfied with our basement remodel done by DDR. We were not in a rush with the project because we were more concerned with getting it done right than how long it took, but regardless, they finished the project in about 6 weeks which is what they quoted at the beginning. As with any project issues did arise but our project manager, Chris, remained in constant contact with us and resolved all our concerns. For instance, as part of the project we replaced the exterior doors on the back of our house and the new doors were smaller than the existing doors because of a mismeasurement. They reworked the drywall/trim on the interior and the siding on the exterior to make the new doors look great and I feel we have a more watertight solution than what was there before. They will make it right which is something DDR and their subcontractors all echoed which gave me a lot of relief throughout the project. We are excited to move into our new basement and would recommend DDR if you are planning on doing a basement in your house.

End results was outstanding. Had early issues with weather, but nothing they could have done to change that. When we had an issue they always responded They did great work. Johnny

They did a basement finishing job for us. Overall we are happy with the finished project and would recommend them. The project took longer than originally quoted due to issues with the drywall team and starting later than anticipated, otherwise, I would have given them 5 stars.

The project manager, Chris, was in constant contact with us. He kept us updated daily, and always responded promptly if we had questions or concerns. The crew did great work, and we are very happy with the results.

They built a sun-room on my home. Quite an undertaking, and I would recommend them based on the result. We had several choices when we were looking for our project, and we are very happy we selected this company. Chad Farris was our project manager, and the project went seamlessly. If you are looking, stop looking now! Contact these folks. They are not the cheapest, but they charge a fair price and deliver quality results.

When I ordered the patio I provided a nearly CAD quality diagram of the design of my patio. The design was never provided prior to construction starting and I told them the dimensions were wrong when they started the foundations. Went to work came back and was still off by several feet. But was told the I signed off on dimensions. Next they started the roof and they tried using foil dry hose for extending my dryer vent. They then changed the roof design without asking. When they did electrical the disconnected an old switch then just left it. Then came concrete, it was a rush job to do framing and concrete same day, they used a bobcat and destroyed my yard. Then rather than follow drawing they tore down my firewood stand so they could run concrete where the stand was. Poor communication is the biggest problem. I'm still waiting for them to return to pickup dirt pile in my yard and put cap on rain gutter. Unless you can supervise, I do not recommend. The quality is great just not what i asked for.

Each crew that worked on the room addition project was skilled, polite, hard working and paid close attention to detail. They knew what was expected of them and they didn't stand around on the job waiting to be told what to do next. The Project Manager was very punctual in responding to any questions I had for him. I was extremely satisfied with their workmanship and customer service.

My 3 week project took 5 months. They frequently did not show up as promised and did not call. Periods of weeks went by with no work. They have however responded to call backs to fix things. 7/2 they have begun to rectify problem and have changed review to reflect this. will update later

DDR provided an outstanding product. Despite serious winter weather delays, they completed our garage project on time as promised. Our project manager, Chad, provided excellent communication and consultation throughout the building process and was constantly at our job site. All the specialty contractors were professional, providing quality work. Jesse provided us with excellent consultation and expertly and skillfully guided us through our project changes before construction began. We would surely contract with DDR again, great company to work with.

Ours was a rather complicated basement remodel project where our Project Manager was unable to manage the various phases of the project as some surprises developed. Our house is nearly 40 yrs old and DDR seems better suited to handle simpler jobs that proceed smoothly to fit their seemingly volume-oriented business plan. We especially got started off poorly due to poor communications with and to the Hispanic tear out crew which also kinda mangled the initial framing phase of this customized project. I would only recommend DDR for simpler projects where their Project Manager could be more intimately involved with day-to-day details and outcomes. Our 2-3 week project took over 5 weeks of disruption to our empty nest household. Their Project Mgr was spreading his time too thinly over multiple projects spread over too large a geography in Central Kentucky.

We would hire them again.

We could not be more pleased with how our screen room turned out, and even more so with this company. The points of this project that stand out: * On our initial consultation, Jesse really listened to what we wanted, and offered very good suggestions to improve our design. * The project manager, Chris, was always responsive to all our questions and concerns. All concerns were addressed and in a positive manner. * We were at all times, even with repeated bouts of bad weather, kept informed of what would be done when, and by whom. * DDR uses top quality materials and their crew members are skilled. Leo and Rolando and their crews did great work on the framing and finishing. John and James, the electrical crew, wired everything perfectly. The clean up crew cleaned up thoroughly. If you're thinking of a remodeling project, you would do well to consider Distinctive Design Remodeling.
