My wife and I decided to use DDR for our sunroom addition because our neighbors had used them a couple years ago. We were very impressed with the build quality and building process of their room addition. We had DDR give us a free quote and decided that the price was fair. The process began and ended within 5 weeks with very good communication throughout. We are now looking at a finished product that looks like it has always been a part of our home. The Remodeling experience was great! Our contractor representative was very helpful in keeping things on schedule and also making sure everything was done correctly and to our specifications.

I feel very fortunate to have found Distinctive Design Remodeling at a home and garden show. A representative met with me immediately after I contacted them and spent the time to fully listen to my needs and expectations. We had met with several other builders and were very impressed by Jesse. His estimate was precise and included all aspects of the room addition project. Every one of the sub contractors did a superb job and Chris,the project manager, keep me informed every step of the way. I could not be more pleased with our new addition and would absolutely use DDR again and refer them to anyone looking for a remodeling company. Their work is top notch, as are their employees.

Everyone we worked with from start to finish was very professional. Kevin came to our home, and seemed to know exactly what we wanted. We didn t have to deal with our HOA, which was such a blessing!! Scott, our project manager, was here everyday. He made sure we were completely satisfied with all the work. All the employees did a top notch job, and we had our patio enclosure in a little more than a week. I would highly recommend Distinctive Designs!

When I submitted my sunroom addition project on HomeAdvisor, I received a list of potential contractors in the Louisville area. After reviewing them on their own websites, BBB, and Angieâ s List, I narrowed the list to three to bid on the project. Of these, Distinctive Design Remodeling (DDR) stood out for a couple of reasons. First, their representative Kevin Kelley was quick to point out a big flaw in my amateur design, and he suggested a major improvement to the roof structure. This change was not only more structurally sound, but it also eliminated the need for steps down into the room and allowed for smoother access from the main part of the house. The other candidates were willing to work with my design as drawn, even after acknowledging that a roof of that size would be a problem. Second, Kevin gave me a firm price on the spot. Another builder got back to me ten days later with an estimate, not a definite price, which he wanted me to sign. The third wanted each subcontractor to come into my home and submit their individual estimates, and he also required that I pay about $500 upfront for a design drawing before he would submit a bid, whether I went with that company or not. DDR won my confidence and my contract. DDR is the only remodeler in the local industry that does not use subcontractors. This meant that once my project was on their schedule, the work flowed smoothly with little downtime. The 514â square foot addition was completed in five weeks, even counting at least a week for rain delays. There was no lost time due to a craft having to complete a different project before they could get to mine. The tradespeople were professional, courteous, and efficient. As each group finished their part, they cleaned up after themselves. On the last day the cleanup crew removed all debris and even used a metal detector in my yard to make sure no nails were left in the grass. I have no complaints about the quality of the work. The few minor issues that arose were fixed quickly. The quality of workmanship is excellent, and I am now the proud owner of a lovely new sunroom, which blends in beautifully with the original structure. I would recommend DDR to anyone who is interested in adding on to their home.

I found out about DDR from reading the reviews. I called and a meeting scheduled with them to discuss my plans of finishing our basement. They worked out the plans and got back to me with a quote. The work they performed was great, fast and high quality. Every person who came into our house was professional, polite, hardworking and helpful! I was most surprised at the time frame to completion! We started in September and by middle of November it was done! They don't play around. The managers all had good communication and updates during the construction process as well. Great job DDR and thank you for a great basement!

The project was completed in a timely manner without any interruption to our daily lives

Communication was horrible, I would get 24 hrs of notice that something needed to be on the job site. I financed the job and they made me sign off on completion so they could get paid by the end of a month. I did thinking there wasn't much left to do so I wanted to be a nice guy. Technically a year later and the job still hasn't had final inspection. The did the bare minimum to be acceptable. Never went above and beyond. I would look high and low before hiring Jon and his team

Great company to work with. Project exceeded our expectations.

They do pretty good work in a timely manner. Went behind them and turned up some of their work but I am a perfectionist. I am happy with the outcome and would recommend them to others.
