Description of Work: After no response from another Angies List provider while waiting 3+ weeks during extended snow storms in Lexington, KY, I requested and received a refund from an offer which I had purchased. I am 76 years old and was having to carry out large buckets of water 2 or 3 times per day from a leak in my Patio Room roof. I reviewed the recommendations again and tried Bone Dry. They were courteous, seemed professional and came to my house to look at the problem. I met the manager on the roof and discussed the problem. He said he would be willing to try a repair, but this would not be warrantied and would not qualify for the Angies list offer from their company because it was not the type of roof they dealt with. At this point I was willing to try for a repair under any circumstance. I had previously called John Marr (Owner of Patio Creations who had built the original patio room at my home which I assume was no longer under warranty, but had also built an addition which was still under warranty and also was leaking. He informed me that "it would be weeks before he could do anything" and that I would have to call him back later to get my name on the repair list) |A Bone Dry repair person came to my home and spent several hours working on the roof and spent a lot of time on his telephone as well. No one ever came to inspect the work he did. | In Kentucky there were no further snow incidents but the spring/summer brought frequent rains and the leaking began about 2 months later. It continues in both parts of the Patio Room occasionally, perhaps depending on wind direction. At least in the spring/summer the leak quits after the rain, unlike the winter snow/ice which melts for days while leaking. | I have felt like the loser in this situation. When I originally joined Angie's List, I was told and the web site stated in effect that no one could pay to influence Angie's List recommendations. This is obviously no longer true. I am out the money I paid for the second Angie's List offer (Bone Dry). I still have a leaky roof and if I tried to get the builder of the patio rooms to assist he would state that the work done had voided any warranty. For that reason I have cancelled my Angie's List membership. I am sure this will not appear in any Angie's List review, but it should. | |

Description of Work: Staff inspected our attic to locate the source of roof leaks. Bone Dry roofers then stripped away all rotten wood and shingles and laid new protective materials and shingles. Siding techs then stripped away rotten wood from a chimney chase, applied new house wrap to the chimney, new hardiboard and caulking. Finally new lids were laid atop two chimneys.

Description of Work: Repaired a crumbling chimney and replaced the flashing at my daughter's house. Joe Hodges, the project manager, called me as requested to schedule the service. When I requested a later start time to accommodate her sleep disorder, he arranged for the crew to do a small clean-up operation at another site until mid-morning. At the end of the job, he scheduled (and kept) a time to personally show it to me. He explained what they had done; the work had been more extensive than they had predicted, but he did not charge for the extra materials and labor. The crew cleaned up thoroughly. Sara in the office was also very courteous and professional. The work looks great! I will definitely call them again.

Description of Work: Bone Dry Roofing responded to my inquiry right away and was extremely professional in dealing with me. I needed liner work done on box gutters and unfortunately they don't do that type of work. Their receptionist did take the time to research who might be able to do the work and called me back promptly with the names of others who did do that type of work. I wouldn't hesitate to hire this company to do any roofing work I might need later. I have a house that is over 150 years old and have dealt with a lot of different contractors in the 30 years that I have owned my house. Rarely have I encountered an organization as professional and helpful as Bone Dry Roofing. Taking the time to help someone who is not going to be adding to their bottom line for the immediate project goes a long way toward instilling confidence in their ability to provide work that will delight any customer.

Description of Work: Repaired roof to stop leaks. Removed shingles and installed ice and water shield on valley, then replaced with new shingles.
