They came out to do the estimate and never even wrote down what we needed to have done. Because of the the estimate was inaccurate and we decided not to use this service.

February 2011 contacted Back Construction for an estimate on remodeling upstairs of a Cape Cod style house. Good initial service with appointment and in depth annotation to provide quote however, just received the quote today, April 26, 2011. Responsiveness F. When I finally opened the bid it was $45,000 more than 3 other local companies that bid on the same project. Back has a solid reputation that is why I contacted them, but after this, I would not hire them, refer them to anyone for any type of work. Ridiculous and taking advantage of their name to add money to a bid.

They were slow to respond. I had to call and ask them a couple of times. However, they were punctual and came out when they were supposed to. The estimate was for about $7800. They were professional and did really well on the quote process, but they were just too expensive. They were far more expensive than the others that I had talked to.

They were always here when they said they would be and left after cleaning up after themselves. Always polite, professional and truthful. They were truly concerned that we were happy with the work. I will be calling them again for more projects!

all jobs completed according to plan. any problems were corrected promptly. continue to follow up to see if ever thing is satisfactory.

The job went extremely well. They were very professional, the foreman was very personable and they cleaned up after themselves each time. I would highly recommend them. They are one of the higher priced companies, but on the other hand they do excellent work so you get what you paid for.

These things required coming from the outside, through the brickwork and though finished ceilings and walls. I was very pleased with the work they did. It was as priced, on time, and complete. The brick walls are almost impossible to tell where they were (except for the resulting cable holes which were sealed properly.) The drywall work in then interior was excellent. In one place, where the ceiling "bubbled" it took three tries to get the repair to work properly - but this isn't a complaint. It was several weeks after the completion before the problem started showing up and BACK's came out each time and corrected it. They checked for problems that weren't in the original estimate and unless it would have been a major repair (beyond just what had originally been contracted for - like a new roof!) they did it without any additional charge. They said they didn't care if the problem came back in 6 months or a year, they would continue to fix it until it was right. Turns out it wasn't anything they did or could have anticipated - old plaster, new paint kind of thing) but they still covered it gratis. I highly recommend them. They are not the cheapest by any stretch, but you definitely get what you pay for. Some of the sub-contractors (for appliances and things) caused a problem, but I told my foreman and he took care of all the problems. They were interested in whether I liked the supplier or not and whether I was satisfied. They took all my complaints, no matter how trivial seriously. I will definitely have them back to do any other work I might have.

It went well. I was impressed by their professionalism. They are high priced, but they did a very good job.

BACK is an outstanding company. It is expensive, but you do get what you pay for. The employees are extremely conscientious. They respond to phone calls quickly, deliver bids typically within 10 business days, are polite, and they do an excellent job cleaning up your house after completing their work for the day. Before and after our addition roof project Brian, who heads up the roofing division, took me up on our roof so I could get a firsthand view of what needed to be done and he explained the construction of the roof, etc. We also used BACK to do a shingle roof on the central part of our house and to replace wooden window sashes on our second floor.
