Called for mutually agreed time. Came when specified, very keen on keeping messes under control. was flexible on returning for drywall work. The work was of high quality, and very professional.

Each job was done meticuoously and in good time. The project manager responded immediately to any questions and concerns I had. I have since rehired BACK to do some roof repair.

We were not real impressed with them at all. We knew we were not going to go with that company when he came for the quote. There was a lack of thoroughness. We asked for ideas. Instead of sending out a designer, they sent out a materials estimator so he had no idea as far as giving suggestions. We told them when we called them out that we needed some help and we wanted to redo the kitchen and this and that. He was not impressive. It was almost a month before we even got a number from them. We knew within 5 minutes that we didn't want to use them.

I chose Back Construction because they had excellent reports both on Angie's list and from friends, and were listed as an authorized dealer by Velux. I got quotes on both the skylights and adding a bay window. The price for the skylights was very reasonable but the bay window quote was extremely high, so I am using another company . When Brian came to give me an estimate, he was very knowlegable and was able to answer all of my questions. Their proposal was also well written and included everything I needed. The crews were very professional and did an excellent job. Adding new skylights to an existing house is a tricky job, and they really knew what they were doing. The finished skylights are pretty nearly perfect. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to add skylights. I will definitely call them again.

We contacted Back Construction as a certified Pella Window and Door installer. We had significant water issues with the builder's grade doors that were installed when we built our home 6 years ago. The Back Pella sales person came on sight, surveyed the situation and discussed with us our options for replacing the doors, the guarantees involved and helped us select a look that would mesh well with our existing windows and doors. The back team submitted a proposal and was responsive to questions we had and updated the proposal to ensure all of our questions and answers were documented. We had this work estimated by other contractors and while Back was more expensive than the other bids we had more confidence that the water issues would be resolved to our satisfaction and that the guarantees would cover any issues. A project manager was assigned to our job who remained in contact with us through the door order process and was on site regularly while the work was being performed. I work out of my home so had visibility to the work being performed. The tradesman on site took care with their work and took pains to ensure their installation was high quality. The work took three days and they cleaned up after each day. The painters made a recommendation on how to make it more seamless with existing doors. Overall very satisfied with the appearance of the doors and the workmanship. The team also was very thorough by re installing an "invisible" screen door that we had. The door had to be altered to fit with the new exterior doors. Initially the reinstalled screen door caused a water pooling issue with our new door. When I contacted the project manager he immediately sent out Back screen door installer to address the situation. We thought it would be a design point which would force us to remove the door. The technician came up with a way to better allow draining from the threshold but assured us if it didn't work they would be back until it was addressed to our satisfaction. The adjustment worked and we're very happy to keep screen door and have non leaking exterior doors - well tested after our recent rain storms. In addition, while on their initial visit the project manager and sales person noted an issue with a half round window. Unrelated to the job they asked for a ladder, surveyed the window and suggested a plan to correct - this was not an attempt to sell additional product since the fix was under warranty from another manufacturer - just providing additional service to the homeowner. Overall very very satisfied with the work performed and the level of professionalism. They are expensive - but in this case we felt was worth it since we were addressing a water issue that was difficult to resolve and we wanted a solution not just an installation from a local box store

the estimate was done in a timely and professional manner. the big problem was that it was 45% higher than their nearest competitor.

The service person arrived right on time and took his shoes off before entering the house, both of which scored points with me immediately. He took his time measuring, drawing diagrams, and taking pictures of of the area involved. He answered all our questions and was able to give us a timeline of the proposed job. Our only slight complaint would be that we haven't received our estimate by email yet (3 business days later).

estimate. scheduled work, secured all needed supplies. dealt with all suppliers. returned and corrected any and all work done if not satisfactory.

They do excellent work and leave the work area cleaned up.

They did an excellent job and were very professional. They are a little more expensive but the difference is worth it!

I liked that all their men were very polite, pleasant and clean. They seemed honest and were someone I did not mind having at my home even though I have three children who are home schooled.

Only got an estimate, but will be back!

It was long but everything always is. They were able to us when things would be done and worked hard to accommodate our schedule.

They provided a very professional quote and explained the process very well.

Met the company at a local home show "Remodeling Marketplace" on Feb 25th and asked that they contact us to provide a deck quote. It took until Mar 7th to get scheduled for the quote ~ by then we had already met 3 times with the landscaping company we met at the same homeshow. We initially asked for a quote on the deck and front porch roof, and then a week later I asked for the additional quote on the stair railing... Back Construction asked me to send pictures of existing railing, but did not come back out to take measurements or inspect the railing personally. On April 13th the company finally emailed us the quotes. That's nearly 5 weeks after our initial appointment which I find an unreasonably long period of time to provide an initial non-binding quote. In addition, the employee never called us back even once after the initial meeting... he simply let 5 weeks pass by and then emailed the quote. The price on the deck project was comparable to quotes we received from two other vendors, but the railing and front porch quotes were exceptionally high. For example, the railing quote was $5,000 higher than a quote we received from a competitor for substantially the same work. All in all, I would not ever contact Back Construction again.

I contacted Back Construction because of a recommendation about the quality of their work. They came to my home at my convenience and did a very thorough estimate of the work together with the plasterer. They were happy to work up estimates several different ways (with and without painting). They scheduled the work largely at my convenience. There was only one problem in scheduling due to a miscommunication.They also inspected the work when completed and were fairly meticulous in assuring that everything had been done to my satisfaction.

I thought the estimate was extremely high. They did give a very thorough estimate and they were very prompt.I would not call them again due to price being too high for my budget.

I began talking with Back about this project early summer. The tuck-point was done in July, the flashing sometime later but as of today, the spray has not yet been applied. They do good work but are slow to get things accomplished. Weather has been a factor as we have had a lot of rain but there have also been nice days. I would recommend the company because of the quality of the work done.

BACK did a series of things over the course of 2 years. I found them to be extremely professional and competent. They are both general contractors and have a crew as well. The various installations were done when promised and at the cost promised. A couple of the subcontractors didn't do the work to my satisfaction but BACK immediately corrected the problem at no extra cost. Also, a backsplash in the kitchen started to separate from the wall a year after installation. BACK's project manager came out and took a look at it. They repaired it beautifully and said it was under warranty so there was no charge. "It should have been done right the first time." They found appliances to retrofit in a 1950's kitchen, removed old appliances (a washer/dryer built in) and managed to find a dishwasher to fit the space. There had to be some carpentry work done to make some of the new appliances fit as my son wanted to keep the original cabinets. They gutted and rebuilt my bathroom to make it handicap accessible, repaired the chimney and flashing, ran all new electric through the house and came back to add cable and internet permanent connections. This required going through the ceiling in the basement which is plaster. Replumbed the kitchen and bathroom to bring it up to code. When they were done, you could barely tell (you really had to look hard) where they had punched holes. A crew painted the whole upstairs and I can't say enough good about these men. They moved bookcases full of books and when they left, except for the great paint job, you couldn't tell they had been there either. I cannot say enough good about this company. One very important thing is that when they give you the list of materials you need to pick out - do it as soon as possible. Most of the speed and ease of my projects was that when they were ready to go, I had done my part picking out whatever needed chosen and they had the parts in hand.

We had a very positive experience with Back Construction, and would use them again.

They have done a couple of things for our family. Their quality was good and they seem to be well organized. I will use them again in the future if necessary.

They showed on time which was nice. They also have a good reputation. They actually followed up with a letter and a quote. I felt that their price was little high.

It went great! No major or minor problems.

We were really impressed with all the employees that we talked to at the company. We felt like they were honest and knowledgeable. We knew who the owner was and we knew several people that had used them for other things. The quality was excellent. They were definitely professional.
