 + -1 moreIt was just fine. It was just one worker. He was very nice. They were very prompt. He had to replace some rollers and stuff but he had it all there and he was in and out in about 45 minutes. Very professional. Cleaned up after he was done.

 + -1 moreJosh was the tech who performed the work and I was thoroughly impressed with the work he did. Before he serviced the door it sounded horrible. By the time he was done it was virtually silent! The price that was charged was good, but the value was Outstanding. I could not be happier. Would definately use them again, and will recommend to others.

 + -1 moreThe technician (I am so sorry I didn't catch his name because my husband originally greeted him) called before our time window to see if he could come a few minutes early and was very polite and conscientious. He quickly installed the new unit and made sure everything was working correctly. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family!
Description of Work: Came to check why our garage door was closing and stopping intermittently so that we had to hit the button multiple times to get it to close. It wasn't as sensor issue so the technician suggested replacing the circuit board ($150) or replacing the motor unit for a brand new one with new wall switch and remotes ($300). Our original opener was ancient so we opted to replace it.

 + -1 moreThe technician kept me updated on date of service. He arrived and began work immediately. He answered all my questions and promptly resolved and concerns. The door being replaced would be struck by equipment as it was removed from the garage. He wait while the equipment was moved through the door and made adjustments to avoid a strike. The door also has a better fit and thus more energy savings.

 + -1 moreThis is an old system that had parts from several different manufacturers cobbled together. Remote control - turned out a screw attached to a box at the motor was loose and so Mike fixed that in five minutes. He changed out the outdoor key pad and got it working. He didn't happen to have a box with him for the wall opener and offered to go get one and install later that day. I didn't want to wait around, as was happy just to have two ways to get inside my garage from the outside when before there were zero. He showed me how to install it myself if I wanted to get the part. So everything was fixed or replaced in under an hour! I forgot to ask for the discount but was happy to have everything done and no major repairs were needed. THANKS!
Description of Work: Garage door system wasn't working. Outside keypad, remote control for cars, and inside wall button had all stopped working.

Description of Work: Initiated a service call on my garage door. "Tim", technician, stated he could not successfully service the door because the circuit board needed to be replaced. Stated he could not get the part because it was a "Legacy" opener carried by "Lexington Overhead Door Company" and their parts were hard to get. I offered to drive to the company's Lexington business location and get the part for him. He agreed to come back and install when he returned from vacation. We agreed he would do this as part of the Angie's List deal. I called him on 10/11/16 and left a message I had picked up the circuit board and it was ready to install. I called again on 10/18/16 and he stated he would come on 10/19/16. When he arrived on 10/19/16, he stated the circuit board didn't fit, he wasn't sure the problem was even with the circuit board, and I had "gone against his advice" and chosen to replace a part verses buying a whole new unit from him. He added, "I don't work on Legacy" doors (a product of Lexington Overhead Door Company). I asked if his company only worked on specific doors and not others, since the Angie's List deal did not specify that in the special. "Tim" indicated there was nothing else he could do to fix my door; that I had already received "two service calls." I reminded him he had not fixed my door, or completed any substantive work on either visit. The most disturbing facet of my experience was that he left my home with the covers removed from my garage door opener, the circuit board and covers lying on my trash receptor in the garage, the electrical cord unplugged and hanging from the ceiling, and the garage door up and my car outside. The Angie's List representative I called for help (Emma) actually talked me through how to manually close/lock my garage door in order to secure my home and car. My garage door opener remains in pieces as described above and is inoperable. I have photos to confirm.

 + -1 moreAfter bringing my wife home from the hospital, the garage door jammed in mid position. Consulting Angie's List, I called Absolute at 4:30pm. An appointment was made for between 5pm and 6pm the same day. The 2 service people arrived at 5:50pm. By 6:20pm they had fixed my problems. Adjusted the garage door opener settings, and lubed the door and rollers. $ 150.00 without any parts, seems a little pricey but the service and end results were exceptional.
Description of Work: Reset tension cables. Adjusted door opener and lubricated.
