Kinser & Kinser Inc Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing

After calling around and getting numerous quotes, we decided to use Kinser and Kinser. Their customer service was fantastic, price was very competitive and I didn't feel like they were trying to upsale me like so many of the others did. My neighbor also recommended them. During the install, they arrived right when they said they would. It took two days for everything to be completed and when they left everything was cleaned up and looked better than when they arrived. They were patient with my numerous questions and I felt they were thorough in their work. I was very happy with the end product.

They performed both for my business and home. This survey reflects my home experience but I give the same high ratings for the commercial call. Excellent for both!

We were told that our furnace had to be replaced because it was too expensive to repair. Since it is very expensive to replace the furnace. we decided to have some estimates from other providers. We found out that there was no reason to replace the entire furnace. The furnace was only 12 years old, and would be expected to last about 20 years. The other provider was able to test the exhaust coming from the furnace to see if it was dangerous, and it was safe. Kinser and Kinser did not offer to perform this service. We were able to have the furnace cleaned by another provider and it functioned normally afterward and our home has been well heated.

We were very pleased with the work that was done and the men who did the work, from sales to installation. We would recommend Kinser & Kinser.

Great! They showed up early...worked very hard all day long...showed me the work they did (and I believe they went above and beyond as our unit before was apparently installed wrong)...left the area cleaner than it was before they started! And...the AC is working wonderfully!!! (we had problems with the other unit since the day we moved in....2 years we put up with it and our home warranty not wanting to replace it which is what needed to be done in the first place...so we got rid of the home warranty which are a waste of money and decided to pay to have it replaced) we are very happy now...thank you!

They provided excellent service from start to finish. Technician found that we needed a new part (coil) that would've cost $1,600 including labor. I called to ask about the price of a new heat pump and was given a quote over the phone. We've been customers of Kinser & Kinser for about 18 years, with our first home in Goshen and now our current home in Louisville, but I still called a couple of other companies for a price just to feel confident about such a large purchase. No one else could match Kinser's price... one company came very close and could have installed it much quicker, but we have been so pleased with Kinser & Kinser over the years that we chose to stay with them. I highly recommend this company.

As stated above, a young man proclaimed a problem fixed and charged me $350. He was not willing or able to answer questions or really listen to my problem's history. I had already rented a large electric auger snake from Home Depot.. he said his technique would fix it. It did not. I just threw away my money.

It took two days to install, started early each day and did a good job. Came back and rechecked the air conditioning system when the outside temp rose.

David Sauer comes out and does a good thorough estimate of your needs. Terri, the chief electrician follows up with the work and is punctual, methodical, and efficient. Always use drop cloths and clean up after the job is completed. Pricing for materials and labor is exactly as quoted and is very cost competitive. I have used used Kinser and Kinser on three separate electrical jobs from a very simple - replace a outdoor light timer- to a complete replacement of of my 200 amp service panel and breakers. Have always done a great job, on time and at the quoted cost.

I didn't have a real good experience with them. The guy came out and was cleaning the furnace and said the water heater is leaking, do you want me to order a new water heater for you? I said, oh, okay. We just have a 3 bedroom home. He ordered a 75 gallon, which is a huge thing. They brought this out and they could barely get it in here. I said, oh no, get this out of here, I'm not putting up with that. So they got that out and they put another one in. In Kentucky you have to have an inspector. Well, you have to have a pipe through our crawl space in case the water heater overflowed it would go outside. So they did some of that. Then they said, we'll be back. I thought when they said, "we'll be back" they meant today or tomorrow. They made me wait and wait and wait. So finally I called and the woman at the desk was the nastiest creature. She is yelling you have to make an appointment to have them come out. You know, it was just that kind of thing. I would just rather not have them out again. I spent a lot on the water heater. They did come back and get the pipe out and finished. It seems to be working good. The water heater hasn't exploded.

I called this company mid morning on a Saturday as my downstairs furnace was not working. they returned my call promptly, and told me what the service call would cost. He indicated that he had two calls in front of mine, and estmated the arrival time. He called before he came, and was able to get our furnace running again, explained what was failing, and what to look for if it failed again. The company called me Monday morning wth a quote for the full repair, and estimated time to obtan the part. They were prompt in calliing when the part was received and working with my schedule to set up the appointment for the repair. I really appreciate this aspect because my furnace failed again (as they prepared me it could) the day before my service was scheduled. They were consistently prompt in calling, friendly, and professional throughout every aspect of the experience.

They are very professional, good and we liked them. We have a maintenance agreement with them.

Kinser and kinser did the work without any stress. We will come. Pay us before we leave. Just no hassle. They came and did the work and all I had to do was open the door and give them their check at the end of the day. Everything was almost too easy. They worked as though my smallest concern was very inportant and reasonable. They just did everything without the slightest waste of time or effort and as promised.

I recently wrote a lukewarm review of this company. In response, the general manager wrote me and refunded the cost of the service call. All companies promise good customer service, and all companies, being human, fall short on occasion. The real test is whether or not a company corrects the inevitable problems. Hats off to Kinser & Kinser. They have restored my faith in their service, and I will be using them again.

After our old A/C system failed, I went about searching for quotes on a new unit with local HVAC retailers. Out of the four different HVAC businesses that came to our house and gave us quotes on a new system, we chose Kinser & Kinser. They were superior to the others in pretty much every regard. They offered the best quote on the installation (which they stuck to through to the end), and the employees I dealt with were friendly and professional. The technician/salesman who performed the quote was very helpful as we juggled a couple of different unit options. I called him at just about every hour of the working day over a span of two weeks, and he never failed to pick up or get back to me within the hour. The guys who came out for the actual installation were likewise courteous, punctual, and effective. They removed the old unit, installed the new unit, and ran all of the lines in just over a half a day. The A/C has worked great ever since. When I was researching HVAC companies (on Angie's List of course!) I remember reading some negative remarks about hidden costs with HVAC service, so I think it's worth mentioning I found zero hidden costs with my quote. My experience with Kinser & Kinser was very positive.

I had a leak in my furnace. The representative from Kinser & Kinser arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He explained the issue in detail and let me know what it would take to correct the issue. It would be a costly fix, and I have an older heat/AC system (25 years), so he found a way to lessen the leak until I could pay for more a replacement furnace/AC. He was happy to help me temporarily address the issue and didn't pressure me to buy a replacement now. He gave me a quote on a new system so we would have an idea of what we're looking at when the time come. He also looked at some other concerns I had related to the AC and talked through things with me. I was very impressed with Kinser & Kinser and will absolutely call them when I need services in the future, and they will definitely be in the running when it's time to replace everything.
