TUB & TILE RENEW

It went really well. Arnie showed up right on time for the estimate. I also asked him about refinishing my kitchen sink as it is also porcelain. He told me it was in good shape and didn't need the refinishing. He gave me advice to use car polishing compound and car wax to make it look and feel better. That worked great! My tub however did need refinishing and he explained how it would work and that I wouldn't be able to use the tub for two days after he did the work. I gave him the go-ahead and we scheduled a date for him to do the work. He called me the day before as a reminder. He arrived on time and described everything he would do to the tub. As he extracted the existing drain stopper he told me it was very old and prone to problems. He offered to replace it and even ran to the plumbing store to get the parts while one of his steps was drying. He worked on the tub from 10 until about 3pm. It looks fantastic and I have had no issues with it one month later. I would recommend Arnie and Tub and Tile Renew to anyone interested in having their bathtub refinished.

I called to have a visit to get an estimate to perform the work. They arrived on time, gave me an estimate and stated they could do the job that day. I was very pleased with the work, and in fact after approximate a year, I am still pleased. My only dissatisfaction is never receiving a receipt on their letterhead with the guarantee of the number of years the glaze would last. I have requested this more than once and each time I am promised they will send it. To this date it has never been received.

Arnie was very professional. The resurface looks great!

Arnie explained my options, the pros/cons of each. He was great to work with and even came back an extra visit just to be sure everything was perfect. I wish all contractors were as thorough, dependable and had the quality service of Tub and Tile Renew.

The bathtub was in pretty bad shape. There were numerous small chips and a very bad area around the drain because of a botched repair some years ago by another company. Arnie repaired all and refinished the tub. It is beautiful, perfectly smooth and glossy, better than new! Arnie also searched for and found new drain covers for this and another tub and installed them along with making small repairs to the other tub. He also made a small but very delicate tile repair in the kitchen. He had quoted $349.00 for the one tub alone but did all the extra work at no additional charge. He left the bathroom, which is all white, in absolutely immaculate condition! I would definitely call Tub and Tile Renew again for any porcelain or tile work!

They were good and did good work. They were reliable and their price was competitive.

Tub had been previously glazed improperly by another company. Tub and Tile Renew came out and took off old glaze and reglazed. It looks great and we are very happy with work and price.

My tub looks almost new and my contractor asked for contact info so that he might use this company in future. The owner was prompt and courteous and the price was significantly less than other bids.

I am extremely satisfied with Arnie's work. The tub looks like new! Arnie obviously takes much pride in his work. I especially appreciated the fact that he offered suggestions and the final price was exactly what the estimate was. I have already recommended him to others.

We were very pleased with them. They were on time, they did a great job, they did what they said they would do and they cleaned up. The overall experience was good.

I called Arnie for an estimate for tile reglaze. We played phone tag for a few days before we finally connected. We then set up an appointment for a few days later. Arnie gave me an estimate for tile reglazing, and recommended that I do the tub at the same time. He made a few other recommendations and helpful suggestions while he was here. He has been in business for many years, and has learned many helpful tips and tricks along the way! Arnie answered all my questions and educated me about the process. We are in the estimate phase and trying to get providers lined up for multiple projects we will be completing, so Arnie has not done the work yet.

I am very happy and it looks great. I'll have to see how it holds up to use but I'm sure Arnie would come back if I have any issues. I will no doubt use his services in the future.

He knew what he was doing and did a great job. However, he was too busy so it took six weeks to schedule that.

I was very pleased with the result of my bathtub after Arnie Garbutt refinished it for me. He was on time, friendly and polite. His exhaust system kept the odor of the refinishing product to a minimum. My once pink bathtub now looks like a new white tub. He was very cooperative and willing to schedule the work at the time most convenient for us.

Transaction went very smooth. Setup an appointment and Arnie (owner/operator) showed up on time. He was professional and very easy to talk with. You can tell from his decades of experience that that he knows his craft well. The work turned out beautiful. I went with a white and it's definately the centerpiece of the bathroom now. Arnie did an excellent job cleaning up and recaulking around the tub. I am defiantely glad I went with renewing the existing tub instead of replacing. No only did it save money but there is no risk of damaging the plumbing behind the walls. In my opion it it even looks better than a replacement tub in the price range I would be looking at ($400 - $600). Since Arnie was so knowledgeable I even and quot;picked his brainand quot; on some other restoration projects I had going on. He brought up an idea that I hadn't even though about. He's one of these individuals that definately makes you feel like you are getting your money's worth which is so rare these days.

Everything went as planned. Armor Garbutt, the owner of the business, was punctual and did exactly what he said he would. He reglazed an old tub in an apartment I own. He completed the work in a very timely manner. It took him about 6 hours from start to finish. When I asked him to apply a little more caulk to some areas, he did not hesitate to get his caulk gun out again and apply caulk until I was satisfied. He was polite and professional. I would definitely use his services again. Also he said his job should last for at least 5 years but probably longer.

He covered the walls with paper. He brought a fan for venting the chemical smells. He took a short break for lunch. He ate outside in his vehicle. He was professional. I would use him again.

When I made the first phone call to Arnie I thought we were doing a simple re-glaze and re-grout. When he came out and checked the first wall tile it came off in his hand. Behind the tile was NOTHING. Long story short a long term leak had left us with rotted walls, sill plate, damaged floors etc. Not to mention the silver fish farm we had behind the wall. Arnie and Steve replaced studs, plumbing , sill plate and drywall. They installed new wall tile and floor tile. They were neat and very friendly. The bathroom looks fantastic. We will have them back out to do the master bath.

i would not use this service again.

We needed our tub area freshened up before selling our house. The whole process went well. Arnie was very professional and efficient. Tub and surround look like new. Much faster and easier than having everything replaced. Would highly recommend to anyone with an otherwise perfectly good tub that's just stained, chipping, or is one of those disgusting colors that was popular in the 70's.

ARNIE GARBUTT RUNS THE SHOW- THIS APPEARS TO BE A ONE-MAN OPERATION. ARNIE SHOWED UP ON TIME AND DID THE WORK WITH A MINIMUM OF DISRUPTION TO THE HOME. ABOUT 5 HOURS TOTAL TO CLEAN AND REFINISH THE TUB.OVERALL A VERY SATISFACTORY JOB AT A REASONABLE PRICE. TUB LOOKS LIKE NEW.

Overall it went very well. There are some minor ripples due to complications when the power went out in the middle of the job. Arnie responded very earnestly about wanting to resolve that, but we don't feel it is bad enough to redo. We're still satisfied with the results and would use Arnie again and recommend him to others.
