I bought the Angie's List Big Deal for 3 hrs of housecleaning from Confusion Solution. It turned out that the person who was supposed to come had quit on the owner, so the owner herself showed up and did the cleaning. She was very professional and did a good job. I really appreciated her coming all the way to LA from Orange County herself! I can tell she cares about the reputation of her business.

We purchased the Big Deal, waited for Confusion Solution to contact us. After not hearing from them after a few days my wife reached to the company. And was contacted and booked an appointment within 24 hours of reaching out. The following day I received a phone call attempting to schedule an appointment. I told them my wife had already booked. The day of the scheduled appointment no one showed up. My wife reached out to the person she was in touch with and the women was super apologetic and had said her worker was a no show. We attempted to reschedule but due to our work schedule we no longer where available on a weekends. The company said the big deal is only valid Monday - Friday. I then asked to cancel our purchase.

She appeared to be understanding of my concerns about privacy if she was working with filing all of my personal bills and papers. But, she didn't follow through with the liability insurance info or contact info for references. Subsequently, I received a call from Melissa to set up an appointment, but I have not received info I asked for and the other lady agreed she would send "No problem". Note: As you can see this big deal was from October 2013 and I did not contact them until late January 2014 to ask for info.

It was a little difficult to communicate with Daryl, the owner.We played a lot of phone tag. Once we set up the time, I think everything worked out fine in the end.

She gave me a list of all of the tasks that she was going to complete. I had to call her back because many jobs were not completed. I let her know that the floors were very important to me. After she left there was visible dirt and dust on the floors. I had to clean up myself after her cleaning work. She was going to give me a refund, but instead she came back and redid the work. She was very sweet and kind, it just seems like she was overworked.

Melissa came to our house right on-time. To be truthful I'm pretty organized but I just tend to collect junk. I used all of Melissa's time to work on our garage where we have a number of storage shelves. Melissa and I went through it all and I managed to toss about a third of what was there as it was no longer of any value. What was left was rearrange and put in handy easy to get to places. Next up, our office!

The place was not clean when we got there and I purchased the Big Deal, because I just needed the floors moped and the trash taken out. I told her that when she called. She then called me and told me that the people who were going to come out were not available and that she would come out herself. She bought a strong guy with her. She did not want to carry things down, so that was left up to him and myself. Then she left early and he was there for the rest of the time/longer. When she cleaned, she cleaned everything that I told her not to clean. She was scrubbing things instead of doing what I needed her to do. He worked really hard and by himself, so I tipped him before I left. She tried to charge about $200+ more since he had to stay for 2 extra hours.

It turned out beautifully. The owner actually came out to do the work. She worked the entire 6 hours and worked the whole time. After we had her do all the cleaning that we needed to have done, she continued on with other things as well. She took care of the bathrooms and kitchen. We have all tile floors too and she moped all those. She was excellent. Scheduling we thought was going to be an issue, because we needed it done before a party and she said we should do the work herself! She was on time, very professional, amazing, kind and very good. We were really lucky that she could clean our home during the holiday season.

A very nice lady showed up to clean but due to her poor physical condition she was unable to perform her duties properly. When the housekeeper sat on the couch to clean the coffee table she had great difficulty getting back on her feet. She had to move from the couch to the floor, and then pull herself up off of the floor using the couch for support. After vacuuming a small part of the living room she had to sit down to recover. She asked if there was a Subway restaurant nearby so I made her lunch (sandwich chips, soda) which was no trouble, just unusual. I drove her to the bus stop and gave her a tip. One part of one room was vacuumed. The kitchen floor, office floor, and one bathroom floor were partially done with the Swiffer Sweeper. This left the bedroom floors, hallway, and other bathroom floors neither vacuumed or mopped. Some dusting was done. No trash was removed. The kitchen was partially done. She did a good job on the glass shelves in the bathroom, and the outside of the trash can in that room was beautifully done. The sideboard was nicely dusted. I certainly don't blame the housekeeper for wanting work and applaud her effort. However, I do hold the company responsible for sending someone physically unable to perform the work I paid for.

What a bad experience.First,the lady showed up and said she could only stay for three hours and I would be contacted to arrange for the other three hours,a week passed and no one contacted me ,I called the office and the lady said she would get back to me,a week and a half later and still no call back.I called again yesterday no one answered the phone.I will not do any business with this company again,I do not want three hours of service,I want a refund for the three hours that is owed to me.What a rip off.I hope Angies will assist me in this matter.

This was one of the best providers I have ever found on Angie's List. Darryl was incredible, on time, worked very hard the entire time she was here, was polite and incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond what was required. I have used her several times since. She has a great eye and even ordinary things look great when she is done. Can't say enough about this company.

Two people were sent and stayed for the full four hours (total 8 man hours). While both ladies were very nice, they were not as thorough as they should have been, especially for floors - including the floor of the main shower. They neglected to get corners, leaving dirt and dust in corners, and the living room (hard wood) was not swept correctly so that the mopping just moved the dust around. Also, one of the ladies was relatively short and very large (300lbs+) and was, therefore, not able to stand on our step ladder (250lbs max), so she was unable to reach the top of the kitchen cabinets (or the top of the refrigerator) and was slower. They were both very pleasant, though.

I purchased this service as a Big Deal through Angie's List on Dec 8, 2013. At that time, I submitted three suggested dates to provide the service: Dec 18, Dec 19, Dec 20. In the next day or so, I was contacted by Daryl, who told me that my house would be cleaned on Dec 19th at 9:00 am. I was in an all-day training session with no cell service that day, so my husband stayed home to meet the house cleaner(s) and get them started. Nobody showed up. My husband finally reached me in the afternoon, and I left Daryl a phone message and an email that evening. She called me the morning of Dec 20th and said she didn't know that nobody had shown up. She later told me that her person had quit on her. When Daryl suggested that I just get a refund from Angie's List and find someone else to clean my house, I replied that it didn't seem like a fair or workable solution to my situation, since I needed to have my house cleaned no later than Dec 23, as I was having a house sitter starting that day. At that point, not only did I not have time to hire another house cleaner, I didn't even have time to clean the house myself. So Daryl agreed to clean the house herself on Sunday, Dec 22nd, which I appreciated as a gesture of good faith as a responsible business owner. In terms of the quality and completeness of the cleaning job itself, I would say the work was not at a level that I would recommend to a friend. She did work very hard for the full six hours, but I don't think that housecleaning is her specialty. A professional house cleaner is able to assess the work that can be done in six hours and pace herself to complete a two bedroom, two bathroom house. For example, she spent an hour and a half cleaning the master bath, which was the first room she cleaned, and then she didn't even clean the floor in the master bedroom, which was the last room she cleaned. I didn't ask her to deal with any bedding or laundry. The wood and tile floors had a film on them, which I'm sure was due to the product she used. I purchased a Big Deal with this company for 4 hours of Home Organization, which I haven't been able to use yet. I do intend to use that deal. I have a feeling that this is truly Daryl's area of expertise, so I'm hopeful for a much higher quality result. I think that the situation with the house cleaning deal was a result of trying to expand too fast in her new line of business, with the Big Deal results outstripping her ability to hire and retain high quality contractors. In summary, I was very satisfied with the attempt Daryl made to make good on our agreement, given that I had no other options to solve the problem on my own at the last minute. The problems with the quality of the house cleaning itself were due to her personal level of inexperience, which should be alleviated if and when she builds a workforce for this new line of business.

I explained the condition and issues that I was facing and you were attentive. The cleaning product used on your wood floors was your own Murphy's soap which I was told I could use by your husband. The master bath took a long time to clean because of the size and condition of the room. The contract was for six hours of cleaning and stipulated the type of service we provided. Anything outside of those services would have been subject to additional hours at an additional fee. At any time during that day, you had the opportunity to correct, criticize, direct or communicate and yet you bought me lunch and said all was good. Had I, at any time, felt you were dissatisfied, I would have rectified the situation immediately. You gave me no indication that you were not satisfied. I agreed to help you because we lost staff during that time and I didn't want to disappoint a client. In September we decided that with recommendations from Angie's List we would refinish our kitchen cabinets. We interviewed about five companies and found the perfect one for us. Then we thought, while we are under construction we may as well do a few other things. Daryl Ashley came to us through Angie's List and she was fantastic. We worked together well. She is confident in her work and pleasant to work with. When you are cleaning out years of files, etc., you sometimes need that little nudge telling you it is ok not to save every piece of paper from the past. I would work with Confusion Solutions any time. IN FACT, I plan to!
