My old gutters weren't doing the job. The front and back was getting wet because of gutter overflow. In early February I had the Gutter Magician product installed. A few weeks latter we had a very wet several days. I was pleased to see the brick on my house was dry. The crew doing the installation was friendly, competent and cleaned up my yard very well.

The crew was great and worked all day in the cold. They communicated with well when a few unseen problems came up during the installation. We did have a slight problem with scheduling the installation, but that was caused by the weather so I can't hold the crew or company responsible for that. The product works great and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The salesman that came to our house was very professional and thorough. My issue with him is that he gave us a timeline of when the work would be done, which we were later informed they don't go by. We initially only wanted gutters because the weather had ripped off our back one, but the roof had some damage also. They were very quick to get the roofing finished. My only complaint about that is the crew didn't show up until late afternoon. A job that should have taken a day ended up getting split into 2. Our gutters were supposed to be done the next day. We get informed at around 430 pm that that is no longer the case. To me that is unprofessional. I would also like to say that anytime I had an issue they acted like I was just completely ridiculous. The man I talked to was incredibly rude. When our gutters were finally installed a week and some storms later, they did look good. When they actually got around to doing the job on our house, they did a good job, but customer service was really horrible.

I would suggest anybody coming across this review please check out The Gutter Magician's Better Business page as I have an extremely long response to this customers BBB Complaint. Keep in mind BBB complaints fall off every 3 years. We have had over 2200 installs over the past 3 years and have acquired only 4 BBB complaints which is a 99.99% customer satisfaction which is why we have an A plus rating with the BBB as well as an A plus rating with Angie's List and have earned the Super Service Award 4 of the past 5 years. On that response, I explained my company's position with paperwork attachments and proven facts that this customer was suggesting happened and discredited her dates. We installed this job within the estimated commencement dates of installation stated on the contract. Yes we had to reschedule their installation from a one week to the next because it was not only 5 degrees to 15 degrees outside but there was frost on the roof and ice on the ground Also, the job we had started the day before their job we couldn't finish because of the weather. That job also had to be moved to the next week until everything thawed out. Once weather was good we finished that job we had started then finished this customer's job. We told them the day before their scheduled install that this was the case. I can appreciate that they were disappointed because their gutters were ripped off the back of their house due to storms but what can I say we cant beat mother nature. At the end of the day, they filed a BBB complaint because we had to move their install date to due weather conditions then proceeded to make this negative review here after the satisfied installation. Let me say that again all this because we had to reschedule an installation. Pretty unreasonable and over the top as we can't control mother nature as we do our work outside. They had clear communication about everything. As a matter of fact, after our sales guy left on the initial meeting and the contract was completed I am the only person to communicate with these customers and I never once spoke to [Member Name Removed]. All communication we had with these customers was thru me with the husband Matt. She said some man was incredibly rude. She must be referring to my response to her BBB complaint because nobody in my company even spoke to [Member Name Removed] after the sale was made. I guess I can write this unfortunate negative review as the cost of doing business. I am truly sorry we won't install in torrential rain downpours, 5 degree weather, or when ice is on the ground or roof. Safety first!!

This was a horrible experience! From practically the beginning, and was never resolved! The salesman took three hours of our time, and while he was nice enough, he was still a salesman, so spiel after spiel, tactic after tactic. Heard a lot about his ex-wife, too. I actually didn't want to purchase this system, because it was stupid expensive, but we did have a need for something other than a basic system with four huge maple trees, and our old gutters were a mess. So, I reluctantly agreed with my husband that evening, and we called the salesman the next day to confirm. What a mistake! First of all, the crew made an appointment for installation, then postponed. Okay, no big deal, stuff happens. Although, this was the first of many times we'd hear excuses. Next, the crew DIDN'T SHOW UP for their newly scheduled time. One crew member named Ron, who I guess was a lead of some sort, came by himself, and was supposedly expecting the rest of the crew. Well, he went ahead and pulled off our old gutters and, WITHOUT ASKING or MENTIONING AT ALL (until after the fact), our BRAND NEW drip edge on our brand new roof! Ripped it completely off! Now, the manager Doug, and Ron, said it was a standard thing that they do- ripping off drip edges of roofs. But, that is really irrelevant. No one mentioned anything about that to us before doing it, and it was literally a week old. We paid for that drip edge. Also want to say that Ron was very rude after my husband asked why that happened without talking to us about it. He was really rude, and so was Doug. Ron chilled after the initial heated moments, but still- my husband was rightly concerned, and Ron was very unprofessional about it. Moving on. So, Ron was there, and after ripping off the gutters and drip edge of our roof, he just hung out in front of our house. Waiting. Saying they were coming. Then saying he thought they were coming. Then pretty much giving up on them coming. This was over about three hours or so. Not to mention, it poured down rain that night! So, here we are, no gutters, no crew with a huge storm coming. Lovely! Also should mention that my husband took the day off of work so he could be here for the installation. He lost out on a decent amount of money that day waiting on this crew! So, after the crew no showed, the plan was they would come the next day to install the gutter system, first thing. Surprise, surprise... they were more than two hours late...causing my husband to lose more money waiting around on them. So, the installation seemed to go pretty smoothly, once they actually showed up. I did notice them smoking while working, which I wasn't cool with (it's my property. go smoke in your car or on a break), but by that point, I wanted it over with. Before installation was complete, my husband had to go to work, and I was not going to be able to interact with the crew because of my kids and nap-time and whatnot. So my husband went out and did a very quick walk around, because they wanted him to sign a paper saying he was satisfied. Well, they weren't even finished when my husband left, and the walk around took literally less than five minutes, so at the time, he thought it was fine and signed the paper. Huge mistake. While the gutters themselves look really good, and they do, there were many issues. First, the minor issues. There was some sloppy cutting of the edges and scratches on the finish. There was actually a large dried up drop of blood on one of the edges. Gross. Now the much bigger problems! First, they left my yard TRASHED. And, this was something the salesman harped a good bit on, about how the crew is meticulous about cleaning up. LOL- NO. The smaller issues with this: They did not put the patio furniture back. They knocked over my plant stand and a few plants, and left them knocked over. There was a random large broom in the yard. Someone dumped out a red liquid in my driveway, and at first, it really concerned me because I have dogs and I had no idea what it was! They threw a piece of trash into my neighbor's yard- an empty tube of adhesive (see pic). Now, the most personally upsetting issue (although, not the last): Not only were there dozens, tens of dozens of screws, and quite a few super long 16 penny nails, lots of washers, and other random debris all around my house, but there were pieces of metal...extremely sharp pieces of metal...literal SHANKS that you could actually kill someone with strewn all around my yard. Some were upwards of six inches long with dagger-sharp ends and razor sharp edges. Why is this so upsetting? Well, I have two kids and two dogs who like to run around the yard constantly. My husband mows the lawn. I like to garden. These pieces of metal could have SERIOUSLY injured any one of us. I was so upset, and for DAYS we were finding these shanks and other sharp metal shavings around the immediate proximity of our house. So, we called Doug again, who my husband had already been in contact with due to the unprofessional conduct of the crew, and who had made excuse after excuse for the crew. Was Doug apologetic? NOPE. Not at all! He made more excuses! One after another! And, not even in a polite way. He was rude from the beginning. Was not concerned one bit with the prison weapons lying throughout our yard. He reluctantly sent Ron back out a few days later to take a look at what we were calling him about. I happened to be the only one home when Ron got there. I had been avoiding the crew and Doug because I was upset enough that I thought I may not be so kind. Ron and I had a great little chat... I showed him the sloppy work. He said there was no excuse. Also said the same for them not showing up and being hours late. Then, I showed him the shanks and metal scraps we'd been finding. He acted appalled, although I highly doubt cared. He said it was ridiculous and that he would have been upset too. That he understood, as a father and a dog owner, that these things were really dangerous, and that the crew should not have left anything behind. He also said he could take all that scrap for me and get rid of it. No, Ron....you're not going to get rid of the evidence lol. Nice try, though. He went around and touched up the paint that had been scratched. And I am assuming he cleaned off the blood stain. My husband came home while Ron was still there, and Ron agreed that the work was sloppy and he said that he would talk to Doug, because the crew needed to come back and make adjustments to the sloppiness, like rough edges, prying back our brand new shingles (which was another lie in the sales pitch....that they didn't have to mess with the shingles!), the drip edge (that they replaced my brand new one that they ripped off with) was uneven in places, one of the end caps not being well done, but also that the mess they left in the yard was unacceptable. So, my husband waited to hear back about that. But no one ever called. That was around November 9, 2017. I was sick of waiting and not getting a call back, so on November 26, 2017, I emailed the company through their website. No one ever contacted us. I waited it out through the holidays, but I'm not waiting any longer. This company has been the most unprofessional company I've ever done business with. No concern for our time, what we have invested in this gutter system to improve our home, and most of all to our safety. Doug never once owned up to anything, and just made excuses throughout the process. The sales pitch was a joke, considering they didn’t live up to many of the things that supposedly made them different. The gutters themselves look good (minus the sloppy details, which you can’t see from a distance), and so far as we can tell a few months later, they have worked fine. But I don’t care if they’re made of pure 24K gold…if the unprofessional conduct of a company is this bad, and they think it’s okay to charge an arm and a leg for sloppy, unprofessional work, then they can keep their nice looking gutters. I’d rather my kids or dogs not get sliced up as they play in the yard. I hope this helps someone in the future.

This customer also filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. This BBB complaint and negative Angie's List review are eerily similar to the Sarah Nagel BBB complaint and Angie's List review. If you are reading this and want clear proof that what this customer of ours is saying is just not true please go to The Gutter Magician's BBB page. I have paperwork attachments included that discredits everything this [Member Name Removed] claims. Angie's List doesn't offer this feature in a response to add attachments while the BBB does. On Tuesday, October 17,2017 I called the husband, Bob, to schedule the gutter installation for Friday, October 27, 2017. He accepted the installation date. So, on Friday October 27, 2017 one of my installers, Ron, showed up to tear off and remove the old gutters to get a head start on the job. The rest of the installation crew was at their first small job of the day finishing a another installation. As it turned out, as work progressed on the that job they ran into a ton of rotten fascia board and rafter tails. That job took the install crew all day to finish and they never made it to Bob and [Member Name Removed]'s house. Remember one of my installers was already at their house waiting on the rest of the crew and took their old gutters off the house. We told Bob the situation and that we wouldn't be there today (Friday), however, we would be there the very next day being Saturday, October 28, 2017. He was upset because he says he took off work for the install. Well, we are sorry but we work outside and sometimes you run into unforeseen circumstances like rotten wood that we ran into on the first job of the day. Keep in mind Bob works from home as he does voice overs for TV. We went there Saturday, October 28, 2017 and installed the job and finished the job. Bob signed the completion certificate stating the goods were delivered and installed to his satisfaction (see attachment). On Sunday, October 29th, 2017 Bob calls my cell phone and tells me how bad the clean up was that he isn't happy with how some aspects of the installation looks. I said, well then why didn't you address this with the install crew before you signed the completion certificate and they would have taken care of it right then. So anyway, I sent my service technician out on the very next day, Monday, October 30, 2017 to clean up better and make some adjustments on the drip edge. And to touch up spray paint on some scratches on some downspouts. See attachment for service work order on Monday, October 30, 2017. [Member Name Removed] claims we never came out to "resolve" everything. We came out the very next day. Have the service work order to prove it. These customers have never called our office for any service call since Monday, October 27, 2017. In conclusion, during this entire process, I, nor my install crew never communicated to the wife, [Member Name Removed]. We only spoke with the husband, Bob. She claims we 'no called-no showed', not true. She claims 'sloppy work, not corrected', not true. As you can see we have the paperwork for completion certificate and service (see attached) and what we did. I recommend these two get on the same page and not disparage a company for things that never happened. At the end of the day the only legitimate complaint that I agree with is the crew did not clean up very well at all. And that was addressed and corrected. As far as The Gutter Magician taking off their roof drip edge, we take off roof drip edge on many houses, as sometimes we can't install our gutter drip edge over top the existing roof drip edge. Sometimes we can install our drip edge over the roof drip edge. Every house is different. Many houses [Member Information Removed]'t even have a roof drip on the gutter lines. With our Gutter Magician drip edge they are getting an upgraded, better drip edge that is custom bent on the job site where as the roof drip edge is taken off a shelve at the store. Our gutter drip edge acts as a roof drip edge and a gutter drip edge. I repeatedly explained this to Bob until I was blue in the face and he refused to understand. Plain and simple we couldn't have installed our much more effective drip edge without taking off their existing roof drip edge, as sometimes you can not install one over the other. I [Member Information Removed]'t care if the existing roof drip edge is 30 years old, 1 year old, 1 day old or 1 hour old-it usually has to come out for us to install our gutter drip edge. Out of 13,000 installations I have never ran into this issue with a customer before. If anything people are upset when we can't install our gutter drip edge. In conclusion, We rescheduled this job a day later because the job before it took longer than expected. We were out the next day to install it and finish it. They signed a completion certificate stating the goods were furnished and installed to their satisfaction. Next day husband called and said some things were not up to snuff. We were out to service it the very next day. The clean up the crew did was unacceptable and we apologized and did a better clean up and made it right along with some other minor aesthetic things they wanted us to do. We had great communication with the customer, they got a great product with a good installation other than the clean up and we were out the next day to service it. What more can you ask for? They have never called back since for anything and if they did we would have been out to service them. I find it very odd that almost 4 months later we are getting all this negative feedback. We work outside and we are forced to reschedule installations all the time due to weather or unforeseen circumstances and for a homeowner to be so unreasonable to put all this negative effort out there like this is just ludicrous. Heck, they are calling for an 80% chance of rain tomorrow and I bet I will be rescheduling tomorrow's installs, but I also know these customers will understand and not be filing BBB complaints and negative reviews over stuff like this. Some folks it doesn't matter what happens or how things go they are just never going to be happy. I apologize for repeating myself so much on this response.

We are extremely pleased with the installation, the product, and performance of the Gutter Magician product. The installation in April was very proficient and professional. The gutters have not clogged, and the larger cross section has handled all of this year's downpours significantly better than the original gutters. We went to this Spring's Cincinnati Home and Garden show, speaking to all of the various gutter replacement contractors. The superior bracing, design, and details of the Gutter Magician product won us over, and we have not been disappointed. We would definitely go with Gutter Magician again, and have recommended them to others.

Very pleased with workmanship and product. We had a lot of gutters and downspouts to install; work was completed in few hours. Very well ! Unfortunately we had a rain delay of all things. However, when the crew arrived, they were very professional and courteous. There were 3 men who worked in the front of the house and 3 men who worked in the back. Our job was done in 1 1/2 hours. There were a couple of branches hanging over the roof and the crew leader asked for permission to cut them down. Very considerate and thoughtful. The crew was very clean and tidied up the entire area when they finished installing the new gutters. There was no evidence of anything left over after the job was completed. Greg, our salesman, explained everything in detail. He told us how the Gutter Magician system worked and demonstrated how much more efficient it was compared to other gutter companies. After he mentioned the fact about never needing to clean our gutters again, we couldn't wait to sign the paperwork. What a pleasure working with Greg and also the other company employees. My partner and I had the Gutter Magician of Northern Kentucky come out to our home to give us a quote and take a look at replacing our current gutters. Doug and his team were extremely professional and able to answer all of our questions. They went over the product and had a ton of color options for us to choose from and examples of their product for us to look over. Doug was very prompt when getting back to me with any questions. The installation was done in one morning and very well done. They installed the gutters while we were out of town and when we came back there were no signs that they had even been there, because they did such a great job cleaning up after themselves. Before having the system installed our flower beds were destroyed and flooded every time it rained due to the old gutters pulling away. We couldn’t even use our front door when it rained because it was a waterfall pouring down. With the new gutters installed we can finally do our flower beds and use our front door!!! The price was excellent, the warranty amazing, and the whole process was easy and seamless! I would recommend them over any of the competitors out there.

My old gutters would clog up with leaves and overflow. The only concern I had was that the gutters have a cap across the top to prevent leaves from getting in and that during heavy rains the water would shoot over that cap and not in the gutter, but that didn't happen. The Gutter Magician System have performed great. The quality of the system is good. I would highly recommend them.

I am writing this in regards to the Amazing job that THE GUTTER MAGICIAN has performed at my house. I have been looking 3-4 years for my gutters and downspouts to be replaced. Everyone that came to look at my house would never call back or did not have the equipment to do the job. The back of my house is 4 stories high. I continued looking until I found THE GUTTER MAGICIAN. THE GUTTER MAGICIAN looked at my house before sending the sales guy to let me know if they were able to complete the job or not. They were very successful. The Gutter Magician team was at my house for the 1 day installation with all of the old gutters and downspouts removed and hulled off at no extra cost……..and were replaced with brand new ones made right in front of my house. The product is pretty amazing; my basement has no more leaks, no over flow off the top of the roof. I have actually stood out front across the street in the pouring rain and watched. I would recommend THE GUTTER MAGICIAN to everyone. The Professionalism and friendly staff was the huge plus. On top of the owner calling me after, asking how his guys did and if anything needs to be fixed? Thanks for the great job!!!!!!!!!

The Magician team came early and installed my gutters in about 3 hours. Afterwards they walked me through what they did. When they left, they cleaned up after themselves and left my yard spotless. It is now about 3 months later. No waterfalls, no gutters clogged up by tree debris, and no issues. Gutter Magician was truly magic.
Description of Work: Entire gutter system was replaced. The back gutter (40 feet) was particularly bad. It was not pitched properly and I'd see a waterfall in front of my large window every time it rained. I knew this was not good!

As I promised I would update my review after the first big rainfall. Well we had a deluge yesterday (June 13th) and the system worked great. Excellent job! Thanks guys.
