The Best Home Guys

As I described above Doyle completed the tasks that I requested. I am very pleased with the Best Home Guys. I want to also thank Carla for being such a cheerful person to talk to when she took my initial call. She was a pleasure to speak with and set my appointment up very quickly.

On time, on budget. Always cleaned up when done for the day and laid down floor protection when working. Very meticulous, high attention to detail. Very responsive to suggestions or changes in plan. Very satisfied, would use again (and will). Final result was as good as or better than expected.

They were fast and efficient. Their customer service was really good. The girl in the office was very personable. I hate paying money for things but it was really good quality.

Steve arrived on time and the work done looks great. We especially like the pullout shelves for our cabinet that holds our pots and pans. Steve was very nice to work with.

It went great. Dave was super professional, did the work quickly and kept me informed of all progress and what was happening next. I will definitely use him again as well the The Best Home Guys. Nothing but praise.

Dave arrived promptly and got right to work. When the instructions for the deskbed assembly weren't entirely clear or were inconsistent with what he had in front of him, he took the time to figure it out rather than just throwing something together and calling it good. The project turned out well, and he was a pleasure to work with.

Provider sent out a guy who looked at the opening and said we needed to move cabinets. My husband said they were built in when the house was built so that would not be an option. So the guy looked at the opening again and said we can't do anything for you because you need to contact a trim carpenter because they know what they are doing when it comes to cabinets. Then we received a $30 bill in the mail for a consultant fee! Getting the bill for sending out a guy to tell us his company can't help us was ridiculous. We had some other work that needed to be done but can't trust a company that can't do minor work. If my husband owned a planner he would have been able to make the opening bigger just as the trim carpenter did when he came out. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY TO DO WORK AT YOUR HOME!

Steve was awesome. During the initial job bid/consultation he provided numerous options to consider and explained the benefits of each. He also provided a detailed cost estimate with low to high range amounts (dependent on total hours). He was very courteous and punctual; he called both days with any updates regarding his arrival times and so forth. On several occasions during the rebuild of the front porch steps, Steve pointed out various issues and explained the available options to address each of those. The quality of work product is excellent. The porch steps look and feel awesome, a huge improvement over the existing steps. He also did some repair work on the floor trim in our family room; the flooring was recently replaced and that installer wasn't very proficient with the baseboard trim work. Steve truly is a master craftsman when it comes to wood working tasks and I'd recommend him/The Best Home Guys without hesitation. Steve is also a born & raised Wichitan; it was very obvious that he cares about the customer's needs and wants to do right by treating the locals as more than just another customer. Huge Thanks to Steve and The Best Home Guys...their name says it all.

We just had [Company Name Removed] in our home to complete a full bathroom remodel. I highly recommend them. Ed is a talented craftsman. He was very clean, professional, and efficient. We will definitely be using their services again for our second bathroom remodel very soon.

Ed arrived on time and did a very professional and polished looking job. He was courteous and kept us informed as to what he was doing.

EVerything went great. They showed up when scheduled and were done within the day. The cost came in a little cheaper than they had estimated.

Dave's work was excellent. We were scheduled for a specific time. He called the night before to confirm. When he arrived, he gave us an estimate for time and cost. He worked efficiently and finished in the expected time. We are very pleased with the siding repair. I will recommend [Company Name Removed] to friends and family.

I was disappointed I was not able to use [Company Name Removed]. I set an appointment for them to come out and give us an estimate for several projects in our home. They were booked solid so the appointment was several weeks away. The estimator called to confirm the appointment the night before. I took off work early so I could be there and then I got another call telling me he was running late and needed to re-schedule in a couple of days. I could understand if he was running a few minutes late or even an hour but, telling me he wanted to re-schedule two days later was unacceptable. Especially since I had to take off work for the original appointment. I wouldn't even try to set another appointment with [Company Name Removed].

We had a toilet overflow and had water damage to the bathroom floor, the ceiling downstairs, with popcorn texturing. We had them lay new vinyl flooring and install a new toilet in the main floor bath. Along with replacing the damaged drywall on the ceiling in the downstairs family room. The ceiling has that popcorn texturing from the 70's, extremely hard at best to match and then 99% still leave seam lines visible. The job they did was spectacular. I am a home inspector and have done that for the last 25 years, I have seen a lot of repair work done in those years. I must say this is the BEST repair work I have ever seen. The matching of the popcorn texturing is amazing. If I hadn't known there was damage there it would have been missed by the average home owner. I had to take a second look at the area to find the repair seams. To make it pass an experienced home inspectors eye is an amazing feat in it's self, but to have to look very carefully to find the repair seams is an unfathomable feat to me. In 25 years I have NEVER seen such a quality job done. When I contacted them the sales lady said they had a guy that did remarkable repair work on popcorn ceilings. I took that with a grain of salt. I have inspected 1000's upon 1000's of homes and again, NEVER seen this quality of workmanship. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company if you are need of any repair work to your home. They KNOW what they are doing.

My bathroom came out beautiful! Ed was very professional and did an excellent job. He can do it all, plumbing, tile, etc. He kept me informed and gave me suggestions that I did not think of (replacing bathtub). Overall I am very happy with the job and love my new bathroom. The only negative I would have is the price, which is kind of high, but you get what you pay for. I learned that lesson the hard way. I would recommend them if you want quality work. I did not enter the cost because I'm sure each job and bathroom is different.

I have never worked with such a professional and dedicated team of handymen. When my aunt had a stroke, I flew from Chicago to Wichita and had just one week to get her house ready to sell. I call them on a Monday and two days later, Bill Edwards met me at the house. He worked tirelessly for five days (even coming in on his days off) to help out and, before there was more work than one person could do, the company sent additional help over whenever someone became available. Everyone I worked with was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The To Do list was daunting, especially as new problems were discovered, but when I flew home the house was no longer a work in progress. It was ready to sell.

The preliminary discussions didn't go well. First of all, No one should charge you to make a bid on the work you need to have done. This company expects you to pay $30 just to have someone come out to put together a "job review' what ever that is: what its not is a bid: terrible. Secondly, they charge $75 per hour no matter what the skill level of work is required to be performed. Home repair jobs should be a fixed cost, not done on an hourly basis. Are you qualified to supervise skilled labor to make sure they are doing their jobs efficiently? If not, then you need to have a fixed price on your home repairs. I know this company has good reviews, but I think they are ripping people off left and right. I say BEWARE!

They came up to do the caulking but it started leaking, so they came back to fix it. They were awesome. They were very helpful and very professional. They were knowledgeable and got the job done. They were willing to answer all our questions. If they didn't know the answer, they let us know they didn't know. They didn't just make something up, just to seem like they knew the answer. They were also upfront and honest on the prices. They told us if we bought our own caulking, it would be cheaper. They're really good about getting back to you quickly.

The repairman showed up exactly at the time he was scheduled to arrive. He was polite, professional and in excellent spirits. He immediately put down tarps on our wood floors from the front door all the way to the Master Bathroom. He quickly got to work cutting tile to fit the areas around the existing shower. He placed tiles the first day and returned the second day to grout. He was fast, efficient and polite. He was very good about showing me how he did certain tasks when I made inquiries. I genuinely felt like he did the same quality of work for me that he would do on his own home. Everyone who has seen the work has commented on how attractive it is.

Could not figure out what to do with the sandpoint well in basement that we wanted to remove and cap. Seemed very unsure about how to repair back step.

They were nice people. You can get along with them. I enjoyed it. They were very very good. They worked with me real well.

The lady who talked to me on the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable about what they do and what they stand for. The couldn't have anybody come look and give an estimate on the repairs for a little over 2 weeks however. Most other companies here in wichita that I called were within 3-5 days and most came within 48 hours to look at it.

They gave me a phone number of someone who might be able to do the job, who also gave me the phone number of someone who might be able to help. I had a smell somewhere in my sunroom and had been told that it might be mold. Because I had had some water leakage in there but had been unable to find where it was coming from, it was hard to find someone who had a moisture detector and finally got American Metropolitan environmental, inc to come out and they told me what I needed to do.

They did a very careful and good job.

He was very eager to take the job on. I would hire them because he asked me to get the materials and I'm still trying to get the materials together to his expectations.
