Called twice and had to leave message. Return calls were never received.

Everything was completed timely and to my satisfaction. I have used them several times over the years for different projects and have always been treated fairly and the projects completed as requested.

Job completed to my total satisfaction. Service tech made a recommendation of something called "Gutter Stuff" which fits into the gutters to prevent accumulation of leaves, twigs, etc. I purchased the items myself which saved me money and they came back out a week later to install them. Very pleased with their services, have used them several times for various home projects. Always responsive, prices are fair for services provided.

It was great. He got it done really quick. He cleaned up his mess, I didn't have to clean up anything. He was very knowledgeable, I didn't have to do anything.

They cancelled on day they were scheduled to come out. Rescheduled and didn't bring everything that was needed to finish project. Stain does not match existing doors and closets and the door wasn't polyurethaned so felt like sandpaper. They fixed most of the problems. Took about 3 weeks from start to finish.

Great guy to work with and good company. For all those projects you never got to - or as in my case cant do well in the first place - these guys are the way to go.

First of all, I want to say that the quality of the work by the craftsman was top notch. He paid attention to detail and asked for our input on any concerns. Saying this, there were multiple problems with the overall service. First, they under estimated the time required to finish the job. When the last day scheduled came up and it was not even close to being finished, I was informed that they had other jobs scheduled and would come back in a week or so to finish. Needless to say I was not happy and told the owner he needed to finish my contracted job before starting a new job. That did not happen. So instead, he sent his craftsman the following two weekends to finish the job. There is nothing better than using your weekend time off to watch a craftsman do work that should of been done earlier. Then the bill came, because of the extra time required, though no new additions were done to the original estimate, it was 50% higher than the highest estimate. We had use then once before and had no problems. Because of the poor service, we canceled a future 16,000 dollar remodeling job of our master bathroom we had scheduled.

They got the doors fixed that weren't working properly, and I was happy with it. It took a day to complete the work.

They did fine. They were prompt, and the repair man explained to me what he was doing and why. I was disappointed that they don't offer a senior discount.

I gave them a C overall because it took them twice as long to do the job as it should have.

Got same-day estimate in a professional manner. Work was completed by the end of the week, just as I had asked for. He anchored the problem areas with ratchet straps I had on hand to keep it in place until they were able to complete the work, which I appreciated. Final bill was actually less than the estimate, which was an added bonus. I was not home at the time the work was done; however, I am completely satisfied with the end result. Would recommend them to anyone, pricing was fair and I appreciated the quick service.

Estimate came out to be between $5500 and $8500. Ridiculous. I'm not even confident that the work they were saying I needed is necessary. I had a window with some minor water damage on the inside and was told I needed to fix all my windows. All the windows were not even looked at by this person. I've used this company in the past and felt they were very reasonable. It was a different person that did the work last time.

Another time, they fixed our sliding door, the lock on it. I thought it was pricey. We got an estimate for painting our bathroom which was not very large. It was like a thousand dollars so there's no way that we'd have them back to do that.

I have had work done by this company in the past (and have left a positive review for that work). We need our kitchen countertops replaced and I called and made an appointment with Gena. Saturday I got a confirmation call for the consult appointment and the employee was a little confused because he was blocked off for the whole day to complete some work for someone else but my consult was scheduled in the middle of it at 1pm. But he thought he could make it but that it would be closer to 2pm. So I made sure I was off work for this appointment and I got a call on Monday and they said it would be closer to 5. 5 comes and goes and I got a call at 5:30 saying they couldn't make it and they asked if they could come the next day. Well, no, I work that day, I made sure I was off for this as it was scheduled for today. I was apologized to and they said had they known I had taken off work for it they would have come, they ran over at another consult. Here are my issues: 1. It shouldn't matter if I took off work or not for you to prioritize if you should come. You should come because you made an appointment and that's the right thing to do. 2. It sounds like things are overbooked--the statement about the job being scheduled for the whole day, but my consult was in the middle of it, and then the comment about going to another consult. I get that jobs can run over, stuff happens, etc., but don't book things like that so tightly! Time is something you cannot give back to us. I absolutely cannot stand my time being wasted---I have enough respect for others to make sure when I make an appt for your company to come, I will be there. If you guys came to Derby to my appt and I wasn't there, and you could have been elsewhere, you'd be unhappy--as you should be. The employee offered to make time on Saturday to come out but this time of the year weekends are terrible, and I won't have my time wasted again waiting for someone to not show up. It really made me a little bit sad to have this happen, we've had work done two other times with this company but I will not be using them again after this experience. There are a lot of people out there who can do this work and I will utilize someone else.

Ed with The Best Home Guys did an excellent and professional job and was always courteous to work with and making sure that all work was cleaned up and vacuumed everyday work was performed. Upon removal of patio door, he discovered extensive termite damage and did a superb job of removing damage and replacing all support and siding that was necessary. I am very happy with his work with installing cabinets and flooring.

We were selling our home and needed some quick repairs done on our sliding glass door, some linoleum and an exterior soffit. Best Home, who we had used several times before, fit us in their schedule, came out two days later and fixed everything. Serviceman called to say when he would be at the house, was on time, worked efficiently and left the spaces spotless. What were could you ask for?

Showed up on time, gave a fair cost estimate with a high and low range. I stayed around and assisted and it turned out quite a bit cheaper than expected. While John, the technician, worked on removing the old door, I went to Lowes and bought a new door, nails, and shims. John was very knowledgable and did a great job. They advertise that the customer can help out on the job and John didn't mind a bit. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again as I often have small jobs on the apartments that I own.

I will NEVER use them again or recommend them. The problems started on the first day when the worker JD showed up more than 2 hours late. The drywall wasn't ready and didn't arrive till about 3 that day. He was constantly late every day but always had an excuse for it (from dead batteries to company meetings). The worker was slow and inexperienced and got further and further behind and had to bring on additional help. The day of the deadline, Friday April 22nd,they still haven't even hung all the ceiling panels. I call the owner Phil Davis and after negotiations he was willing to cut the price to about $5000 and the deadline was extended to the next Wed April 27th. They brought 2 more helpers for a total of 3 workers there each day. That deadline came and they were still doing first coat in places. They continued to work on it till next Friday April 29th. They still weren't done as majority of the walls were only level 2 finish quality. The textured ceiling was also done poorly. The spray is inconsistent and you can easily see the tape lines even after paint. So of course it wasn't paint ready. I talked to the owner again and he acknowledged that the work was sub par. He was willing to come down in price to $4000 and we part ways. The redeeming feature is that for everyone involved they all were apologetic and polite.

I have a mixed review because they sent out somebody who was totally inexperienced. The minute he asked if I had some wiring, I should've seen him out. He didn't even know what he was doing. I was rather irate so I called them up. They sent somebody out that did know what he was doing and they were very fair about it. The first guy must have spent a 6 hour job and the next guy spent 5 hours correcting the mistakes the first guy made. They spent a lot of hours here but they only charged me for 2 hours. I was very happy with that. I think they are a good company. I was satisfied with what they did for me. They've got confident people doing their work and when you tell them about guys whose work you're not happy with, they will do their best to correct it.

After calling their number, a gentleman took our information and stated all techs were out on calls and as soon as one came back to the office, they would call us back to schedule. The gentleman did not give his name but was very friendly. A week passed and no one called us so we called again. This time, another gentleman answered, took our information again (like we hadn't given it before) and said he would get a tech to call us back to schedule a consultation. Again, we did not hear anything back. Another week passes, we decide to send another email to see if there was a glitch. We received an email back apologizing for the delay (now almost a month out from original email). This email states they will call that same day at 2 pm. After waiting by the phone from 2pm-6pm and no call, we made the decision to not go with this company. We can say, several days later we received a call with a generic voicemail to return call to set up consultation, but (A) it was too late at this point and (B) there was no apology or any reasons on the voicemail why things had fallen through the cracks. We were very disappointed as the reviews we had read were so positive and it seemed like the perfect company for our needs. However, a lack of explanation and professionalism in this manner made our decision easy to stay clear of this company. A simple "we are swamped right now but if you call back in a month or two" or something to that effect would have been very acceptable. I hope things can get fixed so future prospects won't get burned like we did.

Called to get an estimate and was told it would be $30 to have someone come out and give us an estimate. That changed to a $105 fee for an estimate and a three hour minimum for the job instead of one hour because they were going to have to drive ten miles outside what they consider their service area. I could understand a $10-$20 higher fee for the estimate because of the increased drive which I would have no problem with but more than tripling it is excessive. If this company doesn't want to do work outside their service area simply tell people that and don't try and charge huge fees.

Dave Christy was the man I dealt with and he is informed and very good at his job and wants everything to be what you want. he came and did it and clean up after himself and would use him again in a heart beat

Steve did a great job. He took his time, but his work was excellent. The deck looks great. He also took great care to keep my dog Sammy from running off while he was in and out of the back yard. It was a great experience and they came in under their overall estimate. Great Job Steve!

Doyle was here at 8:00 A.M as promised. He was very professional and friendly. His work looked great and we will gladly hire them again.
