They were very knowledgable and professional. The work took a little longer than they quoted but the quality of work was great. Plus, they cleaned up and didn't leave a mess like other workers in the past. I would use them again in the future.

My experience was good. They were out here, did a lot of work and charged me what they said they were going to. I just had to wait a long time to get them out here, but they did really good work. They showed up on time. Their price was more than I wanted to pay for the whole project, but it was complicated; so their price was reasonable.

This was a project that involved some complications that I did not want to deal with. They did a good job of what they were supposed to do at the price they estimated. What more could you ask?

The gentleman went right to work repairing everything. He was very concerned that he understood the jobs before he began, which is a good idea since we homeowners seem to have our own special way of wanting things done in our homes. He was courteous, professional and cleaned up afterwards. He repaired everything perfectly and quickly. I chose [Company Name Removed] because it is more important to me that whomever is in my home is trustworthy. [Company Name Removed] did excellent work at a reasonable price on about 6 different repair jobs at my home. I prize honesty and integrity above skill and fortunately got all of these in one with this locally owned company! I would definitely recommend them, and will be calling them again.

Overall experience was good. Always appreciate it when someone comes over and sees the job that needs to be done and knows how to do it efficiently.

Jeff came on time and got right to work. Checking the blind measurements and hanging them for me. ALl the work was neatly done and so was the cleanup.

Several showers and allied areas needed re-grouting. The estimated and performed services promptly. They did a very good and thorough job.

The male representative of the company showed up on time. He was polite. I showed him the jobs we needed done and asked for estimates. The estimates did not go into detail and were way overpriced. I did not call him back.

The outcome was great. Bill Edwards has great attention to detail and the company kept me informed along the way. The price was close to the quote. There were some minor scheduling glitches because the original installer left the company, but I would highly recommend the company to anyone looking to remodel a bathroom.

Representative was on time and very cordial. He estimated the job (before beginning) to be "2 to 3 hours but probably closer to the 2 hour mark". He did an excellent job on the install and was completed in 2 hours and 15 minutes. Thanks [Company Name Removed]. I will call you again.

Our old basement windows... What a horrific sight. We called [Company Name Removed] after many window companies and window installers either failed to return calls, show up at appointed times or gave astronomical estimates. I did research for probably two years - debating on what to do. At this time we could only afford to have the worst windows replaced. Therefore, after delibertation, we decided both basement windows needed to be replaced for two reasons: so they would match and even though one was extremely worse than the other they both had severly poor insulation, leakage and wood rot. So, to make a long story a bit shorter, I stumbled upon [Company Name Removed] after just having purchased a membership with angieslist.com. I knew after my first call and speaking with, I'm assuming, the receptionsist/scheduler, I felt a bit of reassurance that there could actually/possibly be a company in Wichita with some integrity. She portraid her company as very professional - Outlined every step that would take place. I felt a relief that I may just have found a company that could possibly be trustworthy. So now the true test, with the appointment scheduled I waited. It was scheduled on a Saturday (holiday weekend on top of that). Kelly showed up and couldn't have been more punctual. He gave us his estimate, which, sadly, was a huge range from 8 to 16 hours - good and bad at the same time. With 16 hours at $74/hr, I could have gone with one of the other window companies. But, I just felt so much more comfortable with Kelly and [Company Name Removed]. Whichever one we went with could end in disaster with charges going through the roof. The hair raising problem was that we didn't know how much damage there could be inside the walls once the windows were removed. So, the deciding choice was who we felt the most comfortable with and who we thought might be the most trustworthy and not BS us throughtout the project and skimp here and there. Since we would be suppling the materials for [Company Name Removed] we knew what would be going into the project. I could buy the cheapest materials or the better quality materials. I knew we would get what we paid for. (Many times I've been sceptical. Did they really use the good materials that I paid for?) Kelly helped us decide all along the way - what to buy and whom to buy it from. His recomendations were invaluable. Even though the project took the entire 16 hours we were very pleased with the outcome. I was able to save a bit of his time and our money by doing the shopping, priming and painting. He didn't seem to have a problem with this at all. The windows were installed, and that evening the weather turned. We had the first cold snap of the season. When I entered the basement that night and the next morning there was a huge difference. No drafty feel and easily a 15 degree difference. With Kelly I felt a since of sincere professionalism. He was very knowledgeable, extremely dependable, punctual and most of all trustworthy. The only downside to the whole experience were a few glitches with communication. From my initial conversation when scheduling the consult I was expecting a more detailed written estimate. The written estimate looked as if whoever typed it up couldn't read the hand written quote. I was also hoping for more detail on materials needed prior to the work being started. I didn't want to have to pay Kelly and his assistant to wait for me to run to the hardware/lumber store. I must of had to run back and forth to the store 4, 5, 6, times... lost track. I would have liked a little more knowledge as to what was needed before hand. Some of the items I understand may have been unforseen but somethings like caulking and insulation should have been a given. Overall we are extrememly happy with the work performed. [Company Name Removed] had us hooked when they returned calls and showed up on time. For those companies that wonder why they lose out... Customer services is a key necessity these day. Especially in construction. For some reason the construction industry doesn't think returning calls and showing up on time is important. Or maybe some companies have the luxury of picking and chosing who they want to work for. (If you don't like working with homeowners get out of the business). Anyhow, I believe if you want to succeed in the business all you do is have to SHOW UP!!!, AND STOP THE BS, because most of your competition isn't.

Phil made an appointment to measure and design a pull-out trash drawer for our kitchen. We discussed ideas which he incorporated into the design. His staff made it as we had discussed, then came out to install it. Phil came out to personally verify that it was installed correctly and that it was what we had agreed to in the planning. Phil also verified that everything was working. A month later when a part had become damaged, he came out, replaced it and made sure that it was in 100% working condition and that I was 100% satisfied - which I was and still am.

There were some problems with it but it was alright. The stain has worn off a little now. He also had to come back to clean up some things. Their service call is $30 which does not come off the final charges. I don't think I would use them again.

Based on good reviews called them. Rep came out probably mid August. Had some good ideas and solved some problems that I couldn't see a remedy for. Nice guy and helpful but I can't say I've been very impressed by any communication or followup. The job involves purchasing extensive materials, etc. He gave me the impression that once we hired them he would sit down with me and go through all the materials, fixtures, details etc. Some of these will take some lead time. Have not heard a word of followup. Secondly they will not be able to start the job until nearly thanksgiving. This seemed like a very long lead time in what I thought was a bad economy. I'd say if you so busy that it takes two and a half months to get to a customer, and give no follow up at all to a $25,000 job it might be time to hire some more qualified people. I thought the good reviews on 500 and 1000 dollar jobs might indicate that an even larger job would be valued. I guess the job is too big to do in a jiffy and not large enough to be valued. Have not hired anyone else yet or fired them, my occupancy of the house is waiting until this job is done and I hate to get in someone else's queue or I'll never get moved in. If they actually show up and finish the job I post a further review, but as of this point I'm not at all impressed.

Their service has been great. I will definately have them come back again. They were here over 5 days and accurately charged my for the hours they were here. They also wrote up a list of materials they needed and I went out and purchased those myself.

They provided a separate written estimate for each project which detailed all the expenses and gave a range of the estimated time to complete the job. Although their per hour labor charge may be a little on the high side, I'm willing to pay a little more for dependable and good quality work. They scheduled a time, arrived on time, were neat and clean in their work, courteous and very professional. The quality of work was very good, especially on the pull-outs. They took the time to make sure the pull outs were sized exactly right for my cabinets and even redid one because it didn't fit right the first time. I was hesitant to put a doggy door in and asked for references. I was able to talk to two homeowners who had had the same type of doggy door installed by [Company Name Removed]. With their high recommendation of both the door and [Company Name Removed] work, I went ahead and had the door installed. I am so glad I did. The dog loves the doggy door and I love the pull outs in my kitchen! They also gave me an estimate to build a custom floor-to-ceiling pantry-type cabinet in my mudd room . That estimate was in line with another estimate I had received from a master carpenter so, while I thought it was a little high, when I decide to go ahead and have that work done, I will definitely give [Company Name Removed] a call! I highly recommend them!

We got their contact info from Angie's List and we had two estimates. We liked the professionalism of the worker, Jason, from HM and had him do the work.

After replacing my privacy fence along the back and one side myself, I just didn't have another weekend to spend on the last side. I had a 62' length of wood privacy fence to replace and decided to contact a handyman service due to the very high prices I was quoted by fence companies. The representative arrived at the scheduled time and stated they could do the work. Since I had replaced the other 2 sides I knew what the material costs were, and what I had paid in tool rental. The quote I received was for more money than a professional fence company. The hours estimated to complete the job was 40! I asked the representative how come it would take 2 people to a week to put up a fence when my neighbor and I only took 2 days per side. He stated they would only be sending out one person to do the job. I had to put the project off several months and completed the work myself. I knew there was a $30 dollar estimate fee, but ouch!
