Description of Work: Finished basement shower project, installed onyx shower in upstairs bathroom. The service was completed to my complete satisfaction. Wanda kept us totally informed every step of the service and Ed completed the project in a very professional matter. I highly recommend these folks for future projects.

Description of Work: I think the date is right - I'd have to look, but our basement flooded and that created a situation where all the DIY walls that had been put there by the previous owner had to come out because they were ruined. [Company Name Removed] came and took all that out, redid the electric boxes, cleaned up and hauled away all the mess.

Description of Work: [Company Name Removed] had built a deck outside my back door last year, and I had them return this year to build a fence to go with the deck, to keep my dogs in the back yard. I am very happy with the results and would contact them again. I also called them to do some 'handyman' chores at my mother's apartment (hang curtain rods and curtains, hang pictures) when the apartment maintenance crew failed to show up - [Company Name Removed] did a great job and my mother was pleased with the results.

Description of Work: Doyle was here about 4.5 hrs. Reinstalled smoke detector, moved ceiling fan from basement to master, installed new fan in basement, cleaned out gutters, and taught me a neat trick with bleach instead of paint on minor water stains on ceiling. And a veteran's discount!

Description of Work: It cost a little more than I wanted, but I got what I paid for, and I would use them again. He was prompt, quick, and meticulous. I am delighted with the work!

Description of Work: Replaced weather stripping on 2 outside entry doors. Trimmed bottom of 1 door to accommodate new bottom weather strip. Replaced pop up and trap in basement sink. Removed and cleaned elbow drain in upstairs bathroom sink. Replaced 1 outside door knob. Repaired loose countertop.

Description of Work: Jim from [Company Name Removed] was to evaluate the ventilation turbine on top of our home. He found that it needed replacing due to worn bearings. While he was on the roof, he also noticed the shingles were missing from around the other vent pipes and that he could actually see into the attic. He notified me immediately and advised that this should be fixed that same day as it was forecasted to rain that evening. I agreed to let him fix it. He got it fixed immediately, even though he had to call some of his other customers and delay their work. He also was able to get us a 30% discount on supplies from Sutherlands, and he even thought to ask if we had left-over shingles which we did. He left everything in good shape, no mess. Description of Work: A receptionist (Stacy) always answers the phone, which I like, and is very friendly. I have used this company before, so I know that sometimes they are booked and it may take a week or two to get an appointment; but the good thing is that they will work with you and your schedule to get you in as soon as possible, and to complete your project in a timely manner. I know when I call them that the job will be done, and be done right-- I won't have to worry. | Due to a remodel, I had many projects for them: Repairing holes in walls and ceilings to include painting; installing 3 panel doors including adding locks; building, staining and installing lots of trim, and installing a mirror and basin in my new bath. | They handled everything I asked and more, even going above and beyond the scope of the tasks a couple of times just to make sure that the job was perfectly completed and that I would be completely satisfied. For instance, one of the workers, Jeff, fixed my patio door because he noticed it was hard to close. When he was showing me what he had done, I was so grateful because that door had given me such grief! Turns out it had been installed incorrectly. Now it works properly, all because Jeff went above and beyond. Now THAT'S true customer service! |I had 3 different workers from [Company Name Removed]during this project because the scope was so big. Each worker was (mostly) tailored to his job. Doyle mostly did the sheetrock, Jeff mostly did the woodwork (trim) and the other guy did other stuff. In the beginning, I had kind of a loose schedule and the workers would always call to say they were on their way and/or would notify me if they were going to be late. Since the job took several days over a period of 2-3 weeks, and my time was flexible, I was amenable to allowing them to be able to work whenever their schedules allowed, so if they unexpectedly had some time, they could call me and head on over. Not everyone can do that, but it worked out well for me. |There were a couple of times when I had to briefly leave, and I felt absolutely no qualms about leaving Jeff or Doyle in my home alone to work. It's not often you have that much trust in a Handyman. However, I did spend a lot of time getting to know these guys and if you talk to Stacy at the office she will tell you that [Company Name Removed] takes its time vetting its employees and doesn't hire anyone she "wouldn't hire to fix stuff in her Grandma's house" and after working with them, I believe that. |This company may charge a bit more, but you get quality work, professionally done with no drama. After putting up with no-shows, incompetence, and arrogant workers (from laborers to plumbers and electricians) who charged much MORE (because they were "professionals"--or so they thought!), [Company Name Removed] is a breath of fresh air.

Description of Work: I was unable to use their services, their available schedule did not match with the timing for my project. What I really appreciated was that they let me know this up front and were very helpful suggesting other contractors that might be available. If I have another project I would not hesitate contacting them again.

Description of Work: The worker who came to our house was knowledgeable, efficient and did not cut any corners. The business said that my husband could help with the projects to help cut down on the cost of the overall project, which was nice.
