We appreciated what they did, and I considered them very honest. You don't find many people that will fix whats broken instead of trying to sell you something new.

They were punctional, professional, and very communicative on the problem. I would highly recommend them.

They came out within a couple of hours and had me going! They were able to deal with me over the phone so I did not have to leave work! They will send me the bill in the mail! WOW!!

Estimate was higher than others but I thought the customer service would be better since it was a local company. Old door removed and new one replaced in one day as promised. They did a good job on this. The door is not sealed when it is closed. I called to have it looked at and had to call back several times before someone came out. This did not fix the problem. Called back to ask someone to come out and look at it again. Call was not returned and no one came out. Now I have to call another company and pay for them to fix the way it closes.

One of the springs broke on my garage door on a Thursday. I researched companies, prices, etc and decided to contact Overhead Door Company based on reviews. It was late Friday afternoon when I submitted a request for service online, which was a very easy process. I received a call from them Monday morning by 8:15 saying they would send someone out that morning. They also told me the serviceman would call me when he was on his way. Craig called me around noon, and arrived within 10 minutes. He was very polite and professional. He asked if I wanted only the broken spring replaced or both. He explained the benefit of replacing both since the springs were the same age and chances are it would also be going out. I was happy to spend the extra $60.00 to make sure I did not have to deal with that problem again with colder weather coming. He had the springs replaced very quickly and even answered some extra questions I had about our third garage door that was not staying up properly. He made some adjustments to it, and showed me how it could be done easily. I was very happy with the quick, professional service I received from Overhead Door Co.

Rep was on time, friendly and courteous. Explained what was wrong, and what he was doing to fix it.

I like that you don't have to pay them at the time, they send you a bill. They're very trustworthy.

Great service. Came round the next day. Did the job. Invoice arrived in the mail within a day or two. Paid $185 for the job. Don't know if that is expensive or not - seemed fair to me, but I don't have any comparisons. Seems like there were a few different points that needed fixing, and the guy was here for somewhere between 1 and 2 hours.

Kurt (Curt?) arrived promptly and immediately began working. He continued without stopping until he was finished. I was disappointed to find out that the new door seemed cheap and almost flimsy compared to my old door. This was not clearly explained to me when the estimator came out and I selected a non insulated door. It appears that unknown to me my old door was insulated. Although I didn't compare prices between the two types I am now beginning to wonder what the difference would have been and if it would have been worth paying more. Also I expected a handle on the outside of the door; there isn't one. There are two minor complaints about Kurt: he didn't pick up his trash including scraps of material, bent nails and screws that he dropped nor did he pick up the cigarette butt that he tossed onto the garage floor. While these gripes may be minor they add up to a less than stellar experience. Overall I based my choice of garage door installers on Angie's list and Overhead Door Company fell short of their "A" rating. I'm satisfied overall but can only rate them a "B".

I called the company-got a quote-set the appointment. The installer called before he came-removed the old opener-installed the new one+installed a pad outside and set our code in it. He was finished in a little over an hour. He was very knowledgable, nice and I would use them again. I thought the price was very resonable.

I actually called them a few months before the spring broke because I was having a lot of sporadic trouble with the opener. I was getting to the point of calling around looking for a quote on replacing the opener. I called a couple of places and was very leery of their response or cost. Sorry, don't remember the details as it was about a year ago. I called the Overhead Door company on Laura (careful, as there are two different ones in town), and the receptionist on the phone told me to check the smart eye. So I watched the smart eye. At first glance it looked like a steady continuous light so and didn't think that was the problem, but upon closer scrutiny I noticed that the light intensity would vary slightly. I would not call it flicker as that is too strong. It was more like the light dimmed about 2-5% for just a few milliseconds. It was barely perceptible, but that was the problem. After about 15 years the alignment was slightly off. So I was able to adjust the smart eye and she saved me the cost of a new opener whereas the technicians at the other two companies were ready to replace the opener. Then when the guy came and replaced the springs he worked without saying a word. Most servicemen I've dealt with can be quite chatty, but not this one. He was very concentrated on what he was doing. I thought a little odd. After he replaced the springs, he fine tuned the smart eyes and adjusted the chain quite a bit (evidently it wasn't installed quite correctly), and THEN he started talking. He was very informative in educating me about what had been wrong, how long springs typically last, maintenance to perform and other issues to watch. So he was chatty, but not until the work was done. Great experience. I felt I got my money's worth.

Had a torsion spring door break on a Thursday night. Called their office as soon as they opened on Friday morning, gave a good price over the phone, and had a technician out to my house by early afternnon Friday (the next day). Right on time and did a nice job.

Overall, it went great. I explained what problem I was having over the phone and the lady walked through what she thought the problem was going to be and approximately what that was going to cost. She scheduled an appointment and they were able to get out here pretty quickly which was good because we weren’t able to park in the garage and it was cold outside. The person showed up on time and got the work done quickly. It works perfectly. I called one other place and their price was comparable; I think the job was well worth the money.

The experience overall with their services was very good and I was happy. They came the next day to do this and their charges were very reasonable. The whole entire price wasn't much more than what the cost of just the springs were so I had them go ahead and install them. I would be silly to have tried to do it myself since it was so close to the price of just the springs. I would give them A's on all of the categories and would use them again in the future.
