I purchased their Angie's List online service call coupon and got a better rate on their normal service call charge. A couple of days after the call, we got an invoice for a service call at their normal, higher rate. When I contacted their office, they immediately fixed the problem which, it turns out, had been a minor clerical oversight. Since then, Shon at Midwest has worked very hard to make sure we were satisfied customers. I can honestly say I've never had a service-oriented company work so hard for my business. Overall, their work has been exemplary!

We originally used Midwest in Jan. 2014 when our heater stopped working. Turned out to be a stuck safety switch on the air conditioner. Lee got us up and running but recommended we have it replaced before using the ac. He also talked to my husband about various small maintenance tasks he could do himself. We were so impressed that we called them when it was time to do the spring checkup on the ac. Lee checked the switch he'd recommended for replacement and said it seemed fine. He gave us the option to replace it or wait to see if it broke because of the cost involved. After he explained the situation, I decided to wait. Lee also added refrigerant and explained that we need to start planning to replace the ac in a year or two because the leak won't get better. He gave me some general info about cost and options based on our unusual duct system. Lee's a really nice guy and is happy to answer any questions. He explains things in words I can understand. We're very satisfied and will be doing business with Midwest in the future.

Very professional staff. First person, Lee, who came for the initial service call, walked me through the entire process. My being a recent homeowner am not familiar with the house and where shut offs were for the furnace. Lee showed me how the furnace works, the gas firing up how to control flow of the heat using dampers. Showed me my AC rusted coils then took me outside to watch disassembly and cleaning of the AC unit. It was filthy. Isaac walked through operation of the new system, plus how to operate new digital thermostat and annual service of the systems. I highly recommend Midwest Mechanical.

Lee was AWESOME!!! He came to our house within 24 hours of us contacting Midwest Mechanical. Our furnace had been having trouble keeping the house warm on the brutally cold nights lately (It was 58 degrees Sunday morning when we woke up!) He serviced the furnace, cleaning the heating element and even fixed the humidifier that hasn't worked since we bought our house in 2008! We will definitely recommend this service to our friends and family!!!

On Oct. 11, 2013, our AC motor outside would not shut off even when the main breaker was turned off for the inside AC connector and the thermostat was shut off. I called Midwest Mechanical due to their outstanding ratings on Angie's List and was not disappointed. Lee was very respectful on the phone and actually used the works and quot;Sirand quot; multiple times even in person despite the fact that I was younger than him. He showed up and ended up cleaning my system for me and showing me in detail what had happened. Our coil was so frozen over that it was constantly connected to something inside the internal AC that made the fan continuously run. He cleaned the connectors and other areas and said that we could call him whenever we needed to if there was a problem again. We have not had a problem since the service call and I am satisfied with his demeanor and workmanship.

They did a great job. I had 3 companies out to bid the work. I asked for quotes to replace evap coil, replace AC system, and add a 2nd zone to cool upstairs. They were the only one that measured everything to do a load calculation. Their 3 quotes (coil, system, 2nd zone) were similar, but slightly less than one other co. and over $1,000 less, system, and $8,000 less 2nd zone, than the other one. They came and charged the old system with R22 (no additional cost) until they could get out and do my job. It was 3 days. I was very very impressed with Shon and his team. They do work for my neighbor (home and business), who is also very particular. I would hire them again in a min.

Working with Shon and his staff was simple and pleasant from the beginning. Shon came to the house and listened while we explained the problems we were having (cold in winter, hot in summer; cold in parts of the house during the winter, too hot in others). He explained what he thought was going on and explained how he would fix the problem. We were taking bids from other companies as to replacing the hvac, so we asked him to send us a bid. We originally were only going to change the air conditioning and heater systems, however, during his first visit he told us he would recommend a heat pump and told us his reasoning; we liked the idea, but was unsure whether it was the right thing. He took the time to write us several bids as to the all of the ways we had discussed the possible solutions. Altogether I think there were 4 or 5 different bids. He went into such detail that he actually had them in a book, which he hand delivered to us! (Other companies mailed their 1 page bid to us). We really liked the details of the bids, as well as his willingness to listen to us and his professionalism. Since my husband is an engineer, he had several in depth questions. On more than 1 occasion Shon was unable to answer the question so he called Trane and asked them. He would then get back to us with the answer. We were able to call Shon or email Shon at any time, day or night with questions. There were a couple of hitches in the installation process, and a couple of issues with the thermostat and air cleaner, but they were dealt with cleanly and efficiently. When and if there is a problem all I have to do is email Shon and let him know. He always gets right back with me and usually sends somebody out within 24 hours. I would highly recommend Midwest Mechanical.

The blower motor on my heater went out and I called this company. They came out right away, fixed it up just right and we had heat in the house that night. The motor I needed was actually more expensive than they first quoted but they stayed with the first quote even though I was happy to pay the difference. I will never call anyone else!

Easy. Called, used a coupon, they came and checked it as soon as they had a tech available.

We needed a new HVAC system in our house. After extensive research I called Midwest and had Shon come out for an estimate. He looked over our system and told me what he thought was the best way to go. Two days later he had an estimate delivered that detailed 4 options. The estimates included everything I needed to see for myself what my best choice was. He even included a significant discount because he had taken a wrong turn on the way to our house for his first appointment and ended up being 30 minutes late. The work they did was excellent. They improved the sealing around the unit, they provided a better routing for the coolant line to the outside unit. The only flaw I have found was they did not seal the hole in the wall where the coolant line went through. I sealed that myself a couple days later. Overall, I am very pleased with the estimate that had so much data, and I am very pleased with the quality of the work.

The work was done on a warranty. They actually came out on a Sunday. They were phenomenal. I can't say enough about them. I bought a system from them about four years ago.

I had called them week before because problems with the inducer motor. I showed them how I got it working using spray oil. It cost too much to fix at this time so I am oiling it every few days. They gave me a break on the service charge that time. Then week later the furnace would not come on at all. They came out and the only problem was the breaker, It wasn't tripped but when they turned it off and back on then it started up ok. Since I already had a service charge to pay, I asked them to check the capacitor on the blower motor. Someone else changed the motor last summer for AC and was suppose to come back and replace the capacitor, but I didn't think they did. It was still the wrong size so they replaced that for me too. Now just hoping I can keep furnace (inducer motor) running until I get another job. I have been pleased with pricing and would have given a better rating except when I Google the inducer motor I see prices much cheaper than they quoted. However, the websites also say that the motors vary by manufacturing date and too make sure it is the correct one. So possibly it isn't the correct one even though the site shows it for the model. But they have always been professional and talked to me about what was wrong.

Midwest Mechanical is the absolute BEST!!!!! When my old system finally gave out, I contacted Shon at Midwest Mechanical about getting an estimate on a new Trane system. With in an hour he was setting at my kitchen table explaining options. We decided to go with one of the more premium systems. When the day to came for work to start the crew arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. They put down runners, and tarps to protect our floors and furniture. The crew assigned to my house my just fantastic, they were polite and courteous and took the time to answer all of my questions and explain the operation of my new system. Words simply can not convey how satisfied I am with Midwest Mechanical. In a day and age where customer service is simply a phrase to most people, Shon and his team truly know what it means. I will not even consider using any other heating and air conditioning company. I recommend them to all of my friends and family and to anyone who may be reading this. My husband and I have never been more comfortable and it is truly unbelievable how much they improved the performance of our heating and cooling system. All I can say is call them, you will be glad you did.

We spend $150 for them to come out and service our air conditioner and furnace for a service plan. Shon (one of the owner's)has always treated us fair when we had him put in our air conditioner and furnace. We've exclusively used only him and we will continue to use him in the future.

The company came out to do the annual service on my heater and AC. They came on time, communicated with me before coming ot the house, did the service requested at the quoted price and ensured all systems were working properly before they left. I would recommend them.

Although our initial thoughts were to replace the HVAC unit and add a humidifier - Shon convinced us that the system we ended up buying was our best option, and even convinced us that a heat pump was the way to go. Since then, the temperatures have been more consistent from one end of the house to the other (before there was a 15 degree difference) and the new system is so quiet. Since having the installation done, we have had a couple of questions for Shon, and he has gotten right back to us. He's always more than happy to help us out. I would HIGHLY recommend Shon and Midwest Mechanical to anybody.

The price was good. My air conditioner went out in the middle of the summer. Within 2 days of me calling them, they had my new unit here, they were working on it that day and had the job completed in one day. They were really good and I had air conditioning!
