Midwest Mechanical Heating & A/C

We have been working with Shon at Midwest Mechanical since 2012 when we replaced the first of two HVAC systems at our current home. We selected Midwest after we did our due diligence to find a business that offered good pricing and quality product. Shon was open, transparent in his communications and professional in all of our interactions. Although the final cost was more than another company, the labor and parts warranty were far better. Over the past 10+ years we have had a minimum of issues with our system and each time something occurred, we contacted Shon and he fit us to their schedule. On each service call the technician was on time, professional and resolved the issue promptly which was covered by the warranty. Our experience led us to contract with Midwest to replace our HVAC system at our rental home. And just as before, Shon was open, transparent and professional during all our interactions. Although we know we have a business relationship, it almost feels like Shon has treated us as friends given the respect and consideration, he has shown us over the years. I highly recommend Midwest Mechanical for all your HVAC system needs. Remember, you get what you pay for, and Shon is worth every dollar we have paid him.

We bought new furnace and a/c through them a few years ago and then signed up for semi annual maintenance program. They have been awesome. Great service. Very reasonable prices.

The technician that came out was the same one that serviced my ac unit, he was professional and courteous to both my wife and I. The second time that he came back was a surprise to me because after he left the furnace unit kept misfiring. The technician, Lee, then installed a new igniter and moved it over closer to the burner so that it would catch the gas on fire and ignite the first time. Excellent service provided, will definitely do business with again!!

First off...the responsiveness was incredible and they fit me in first thing in the morning so I wouldn't have to take too much time off work. Our AC was blowing but not cooling. We were very worried that it was going to be an expensive job or an AC replacement. The ticket checked out the compressor and then quickly realized that it was probably a fuse. It was! AC was up and running in no time...he monitored for a little while to make sure the fuse wouldn't blow again (just in case there was a bigger problem)...and I wasn't even late to work? I cannot say enough good about the professionalism, knowledge, courtesy and responsiveness. This company is definitely our "company of choice" for AC problems.

The technician sent(Lee) was fabulous, very attentive to explain explaining everything and did a thorough job cleaning outthe whole unit and explaining several aspects of the system. Highly recommend this company for A/C & Heating Maint/repair or new installs.

I am trying to figure out how to pay for this repair as I'm retired/disabled. Temps are getting to 100 and soon hotter so I hope to be able to get repair done soon. I did some research about A-coils and found out that it can be very hard for tech to locate leaks in these numerous copper coils and even if they do find it- can be a bit labor intensive to fix and still new leaks can be caused by heat of torch while trying to repair one leak, so he is right in recommending that new A-coil be installed to prevent problems from occurring quickly with AC unit in the future.

We were interested in getting a maintenance contract, and did. We've been in our home just short of 2 years and wanted to make sure things were running right before the time came that we really needed it and risk something not working. Our service tech was courteous and friendly, and as a manager myself, I appreciate the time he took to talk about options for the future. Thankfully, everything checked out alright, but since our system is older, he suggested an upgrade, not right now, but maybe around the Fall when they're back to service the furnace. We expected that knowing it was an older unit, and John answered all my questions and I feel comfortable and confident recommending and continuing doing business with Midwest Mechanical Heating and A/C!!

The technician was very prompt and very friendly and professional. He asked what the problem seemed to be and how the furnace was acting. He explained what he was doing and why. He explained how it worked and what needed to be done. He took the detector out and cleaned it and then told me he was going to clean the burners while he was here so I would not have problems with them. I purchased a coupon for this company. I thought the price was very reasonable and the service was superior. I would use this company again and have decided to use Angie's List as my go to for problems I have. I am a retired senior and appreciate honest, reasonable, repair personnel I find on Angie's List .

He was very thorough and discovered a leaking hot water heater flue while working on the furnace. They replaced the flue for $10.

Super guys. I told them my needs and they told me gave me 3 estimates. All different efficiencies. However when I tried to go super efficient they didnt want to just take my money in fact they told me it wasn't necessary to go that route. I'm so happy with my new system. The price was unbeatable and they cleaned up very well. I recommend them to every one if know. Simply a great company. Ask for Shon and Tony. You won't be disappointed.

Was a very professional person. He had to do alot of cleaning because unit was very dirty. I appreciated his honesty and hard work.

I contacted the provider by email on a Sunday night, they responded shortly after 7:00 am Monday morning. The Service Technician was on-site within two hours and had me back up and running very shortly after he arrived. The Service Technician, Lee Mickey, was polite, quick, and very professional; he represented his company superbly. I was very happy with the cost of the repair, I thought it was more than fair and a nice surprise. If I ever need HVAC service again or updates to the system, they will be my first call. I will also recommend them to my friends and family (and Angie).

From the time I found MidWest Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning on Angie's list everything went smoothly. Because my air conditioner wasn't working to cool my house, and the fact that I have older pets, my wait time was taken into consideration and the company sent out their service Tech. a day earlier than expected. The Service Tech was prompt and friendly and really knows his way around furnaces and air conditioners. My house was cool again in no time and I am so pleased with the work and quality of professionalism that was given to my request for service. Not only will I call Midwest Mechanical again next Spring, I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

They did a great job. My system was down with a leak. They recharged it for free since they couldn't start the job soon enough. They completed the job quickly and cleaned up after themselves really well. I had a small issue with a leak in the new system. They were out that day and fixed it. I would use them again. Did a great job and were reasonable. I got 3 quotes, and they were not quite the cheapest.

The serviceman was very professional and thorough, informative, and helpful. He provided me with additional information, made sure I understood how to use my thermostat and adjusted it to my specifications. He checked the inside and outside units, gave me an estimate of the life of my unit, and advised I needed freon and an approximate cost. After a discussion of what I wanted to do, he completed the work, advised how much freon was required and said they'd send a bill for the balance. I had pre purchased the service call through Angie's List, which was simple and I had received verification from the company. Everything went smoothly and I highly recommend Midwest.

We recently moved into our 1991 home and we were aware that no routine maintenance had been done on our HVAC systems since 2009. The original furnace had never been replaced but the AC unit was new in 2007. We hired this company due to Angie's List reviews. We called to schedule an appointment and they were able to come out within a week. Lee came to the house at his designated time to do our AC routine maintenance. He was very professional and knowledgeable about our systems. He inspected our humidifier, electronic air cleaner, furnace, water heater and AC unit. He was very informative about how each piece of equipment should work and what he found. I felt he was very straightforward about his inspections and findings. We were very pleased with this company's philosophy and service. We highly recommend this company and plan to use them for our future HVAC needs.

The furnace burners failed to light. I was impressed by the technician who got our furnace working again. He and quot;Leeand quot; was punctual, friendly and explained every step he took to diagnose and repair the problem. The first thing he did was to closely check the interior of the heat exchanger for holes or bad welds which can cause carbon monoxide buildup in the house. He then worked his way toward fixing the problem from the easiest (and least expensive) reason down until he found that the problem was a bad gas valve. He had it repaired in short order and also explained things I could do to maintain the furnace in the future. They will be my first call for any future heating and air repairs or replacements.
