Mid America Exteriors

I am extremely pleased with the work that was done. All steps of the process (from sales visit to installation to follow-on customer support) have been fantastic. Sales Visit - Dwane was very professional and punctual. He provided us with a wide array of options for replacing our windows and doing siding and worked with us to come up with a project solution that would fit our budget. He also worked with MAE credit providers to help provide financing for the job (though we ended up working with our local credit union instead). Dwane was very knowledgeable about all of MAE window options and was also willing to give us rough estimates of what additional projects will cost (additional windows, siding, etc.) so that we could plan for future projects. Installation - The team involved with scheduling the installation and actually doing the installation work were fantastic. The installers were very professional and extremely capable, and were great with our dogs (two German Shepherds). They were able to install the seven window that didn't require framing in one day, and were able to get the framing done on the larger windows done the next day (see pictures). The entire job was done in less than a week (including framing and drywall work). Follow On Customer Support - Several months after the windows were installed, we noticed that one of the casement windows was having trouble closing (the window would stop approximately one inch away from where it needed to be to engage the window lock). We called MAE and they sent someone out to fix the problem promptly. No charge since the windows have a lifetime warranty. Well worth the investment.

The salesman who came to my house was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. Since I had looked at other products and did my research on different types of windows I did not need the full sales pitch on the windows they carry. The salesman was understanding and did not try to give me the full sales pitch anyway. He answered all my questions and left me materials. He did not try to hard sell me. I was surprised that MAE was not the most expensive bid I have received. I was also impressed with their product. I am in the middle of renovating my main bathroom, downstairs, and roof/gutters. When I am ready to replace the windows, I will be calling MAE.

The door was first installed in January 2013, but the enclosed blinds on one of the panels were bent and one of the pulleys was the wrong color, both of which were manufacturer's issues. Mid-America did not require me to pay for the door, since there were unresolved issues. They ordered new panels, which arrived sometime in February 2013. Unfortunately, one of the new panels had a bent blind also. Mid-America again did not require me to pay for the door, and ordered yet another panel. The new panel arrived and was installed in May 2013. Although we had difficulty getting undamaged door panels, Mid-America handled the situation well, and did not request that I pay for the door until I was completely satisfied. The door that is now installed is excellent quality.

Mid America Exteriors was nice. If you're looking for a quote, it's a company that I would definite;y recommend. They were very knowledgeable. They were definitely on the high-end of the group that I took quotes from but extremely knowledgeable. He was a very personable gentleman. They would do something very professional but expect them to be on the expensive side. I've had other friends tell me about their reputation which is excellent. He was late but he called and told me he was going to be late. I would use them if I could negotiate the price.

It was great! Kyle was the salesman who came out to measure and talk details. He was very professional and polite and answered all my questions to my satisfation and understanding. Russell and Jake came out to do the work. They were also very professional, friendly and fun. Both were polite and very kind when I had interrupted them with questions and allayed all of my concerns. Anything that I hadn't already moved out of their way, they moved - and then replaced when they were done. Jake vacuumed the areas around the windows after they were done with the installation. The work done on the outside (wrapping and chaulking) was neatly accomplished and looks great. My neighbors all say how great they look. I am very satisfied with the work, the product and the salesmanship of Mid America Exteriors!

I called MAE because they had good reviews on Angie's List and made an appointment. Our sales representative, Kyle Schmidt, was on-time and very friendly. We had several home improvement goals and after explaining our needs, Kyle was honest and upfront on what they could do and offered a variety of cost effective options. HE TOOK DETAILED NOTES THE ENTIRE TIME, and when it came time to perform the service, all of those details were completed without question. I got two other estimates and found that none of the other guys wrote anything down except the obvious measurements that would be required. We provided a small down payment and Kyle put us on the schedule. He said it would be about 4-6 weeks before the job could be started, and he was spot on. The ONLY complaint (and it isn't really a complaint) is that they called me Sunday evening to let me know they would be out the next day. As promised, Bob was there at 8 A.M. pulling siding off the house. He worked like a machine and showed significant progress each and every day. Bob worked alone, so it took some time, however, the attention to detail and the quality of workmanship was well worth it. Bob is such a talented man. Considering one guy did the whole job, I was extremely impressed with how quickly he got it done. And after talking to him at the end of the day from time to time, we found him, and his wife to be really nice people and fun to work with. They went above and beyond for us and we are really happy with the way our house looks. It has been about 7 months since the service and we have had no problems to date.

They're honest, up-front, and they made everything good. Customer's wish is their bottom line and they do quality work.

The experience went very well. They did exactly what we contracted for. They made sure all of the extra things were taken care of. They were professional and showed up on time.

MAE gave me a bid and I told them to get the work scheduled. I realize this was a small job and it had to be "worked in" around large projects. It was about five months before the project got started. Once started, it was finished in a fair amount of time and I have no complaints about the work. The crew did a good job of calking and the area is all ready to paint when it gets warm enough. The charge was exactly what was agreed upon and I wouldn't hesitate again to call on Mid America Exteriors.

Everything from ordering to installing went smoothly. Very happy! Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and professional. We will definitely be using them again to replace the rest of our windows.

Job was done quickly with one person.

We had Mid America replace windows in the front of our house. We had some termite damage and wasn't sure what would be involved until the walls were removed. They repaired all the damage and things look great. Even though it was a very trying experience for me, I must praise Mid America for all their help on this project. Mid America did extra things along the way with no extra charge. They worked so hard and long.They also did the finish work on our basement window and it looks wonderful.We appreciate them so much for the way they handled everything and we would definately use them again.

Very professional and prompt. The salesmen knew the product and the process very well. he did an excellent job explaining details and differences. He went out of his way to be available, completing the quote on a Saturday evening to accomodate our travel schedule. The crew was prompt, polite and professional. The work area was cleaned and organized throughout and every evening it did not look like any work was ongoing. They worked around 4 pets in the house in a fashion that was very professional. We did not have to worry about them.

They did an excellent job. They were expensive. I would use them in the future.

They replaced a 5 foot patio door and 5 foot picture window. My experience with them was good.

They do a lot of advertising in the area and my parents had used them for replacement windows. Their bid was also cheaper than another company.

I am very pleased with their work. The job was done in one day and the staff were very knowledgeable and very professional. The quality of work was faultless, the clean-up was excellent, and when it is time to replace the other windows I will only use this company.

We went with Mid America due to the excellent service and quality of the product. We had such a great experience when our patio door was installed that we didn't look anywhere else when we needed windows. The windows and doors fit perfectly and are very easy to operate.

They were on the job for about a week and a half or two weeks, and we were very satisfied with them. We used Hardy Board and the house was built in 1976 so we only had half of the house done. They were on time, they did a very good job, they were meticulous and they made sure everything was done right so I wouldn’t have trouble later on. They advised me on how to take care of it.

We had excellent service from them. They were on time. Our first service with them we had a small problem with the window and they came out right away to fix it.

I haven't decided whether or not I am going to use them because we are going to do estimates from a couple of other companies. The interaction worked out pretty good. They have done the job for the neighbor behind me. I saw them out, working on replacing some rotting siding on the chimney section of the house. All these houses in this area are plagued with the rotting siding, where the construction of the houses was done a little bit imperial in that area. My neighbor had some work done behind and side of their house. I saw these guys out there, so I asked the cost to get something done like that. The guy who came out in the afternoon went around the back of the house, and he looked at it. He wrote up an estimate on the spot, and then he gave it to me.

THEY WERE HERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE, AND COMPLETED THE WORK ON TIME. THEY DID SOME EXTRAS, SUCH AS REPLACE TRIM AT NO COST. THE INSTALLERS WERE FRIENDLY AND EXPLAINED WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND THE USE AND CARE OF THE PRODUCT. NO SUPRISES. THIS COMPANY ALSO DID OUR SIDING 6 OR 7 YEARS AGO, AGAIN I HAD NO PROBLEMS THAT THEY DIDN'T TAKE CARE OF. I WILL USE THEM WHEN I REPLACE THE REST OF OUR WINDOWS.

We had to have the lower pieces of our siding replaced on both sides and back of our house and also the siding on our fireplace due to wear and tear. Mid America sent a rep out to give us an estimate. It took about five weeks from the initial visit for them to come out to replace the siding. My husband and I could not be home while the did the repairs. If there were any problems they encountered, they called us and informed us. They stuck to the contract when it came to the estimate. There were no surprises. The workers were very friendly and professional.

Their products looked really cheap. So, I didn?t want any of them. The guy was fine, but the problem was with the product. I will not use this company again in the future.

We would not use them. We had tried with them a year ago and thought we would give them a second shot. The experience was horrible. The first go around they never showed up and the second time she came and already had the door she wanted for us already written up and quoted. She never took the time to listen to us or show us the quality of other things. She was very matter of fact that this was what we wanted and the route that we wanted to go. All of the things we wanted could not be found and if it were, it would be nothing but problems. We went to another company and purchased everything that we wanted. Their price would be an affordable price if someone was totally interested in price. Their quality is not near the quality of the door that we got.
