Description of Work: Fahnestock replaced my electric heat pump HVAC. They also designed and built some ductwork which my house was lacking.

Description of Work: Repaired water line leak from service line through foundation which entailed major excavation. Also serviced HVAC outside electrical issue. Would use them again, and in fact signed up for semi-annual HVAC service. Professional service with maximum effort to minimize costs. Very nice people to do business with, and still a family company.

Description of Work: Have a full service contract now....each spring and fall service. Over 20 years of dealings with this company. Great service and professional people. Definitely the company to use to service your HVAC needs. Plumbing service was used once....same outstanding service.

Description of Work: Ductwork and an air handler were installed to provide air conditioning to the main floor of the house. The company installed an energy efficient unit which qualified for the tax credit. The work took longer than I thought but was neat when finished and then the electrical department installed a 200 amp box rather than the old Federal box that was in place. I still do not know how the unit will function, as the air conditioning material was not installed and will not be until spring.

Description of Work: We had a problem with the plumbing in our kitchen. Whenever we ran the dishwasher and run the water for awhile in the sink, we had a horrible smell permeate the kitchen as well as in an office area downstairs in the basement. I suspected a break in the waste line. Plumber came out late on a Friday afternoon and did some troublechecking. He didn't want us to be without service during the weekend so he came out Saturday morning and didn't charge us weekend rates. There was a split in our waste line, as expected. Luckily it was just behind the dishwasher, not down in the wall. On Saturday morning, he cut out the bad copper pipe and replaced it. Took about an hour to replace. Overall, very fair price, less than I expected. Personable guy, good service, fine experience.
