Zack was the attending specialist. He was punctual and worked for over two hours in the middle of the afternoon in a hot secluded spot to repair the issue. Zack speaks TO people and not AT people and is very professional and talented. He was fast, fair, and friendly!

They did not get back with me, or email me OR leave a message if I was gone and did not answer phone. Feel I wasted my time by even using Angie’s List..

They were definitely the cheapest. They are just all-around good. I chose them over the competition because of their price and professionalism.

We have been using them for years. Depends on what the problem may be, it could be anywhere from 15 to 45 mins. One person comes. They leave the area very clean.

Never had any problems dealing with Fahnestock, only knock would be sometimes they cannot make it out the day service is requested. However, with the level of service I have been provided I can understand why they are usually busy.

They've been around here in Wichita for quite a few years. I feel like they are going on their name and that is fine if they are giving good service but they could take a look at their pricing a little bit more. For what was done, I think their price was elevated.

I think the service went very well. I was impressed with their promptness and professionalism. The technician was very thorough, and explained everything he was doing along the way. I think their prices are right in line with everyone else in our city. They are a long time business in this area, and everyone I've spoken to on the phone or in person has been as professional as I would expect. Very happy with the service, and I'll be calling them again next year.

They service was good but they are very expensive.

Sensing that my AC would not go another season, I pulled multiple bids from contractors around town in the spring. Nobody else in town could compete with Fahnestock on price. I was concerned that I was going to sacrifice on the quality of the equipment/installation. But, those concerns have proven, thus far, to be unfounded. The AC did, in fact, quit in July. There was not a contractor in town that was able to install a new system in less than 10-days due to high demand. Fahnestock, however was able to deliver and install a loaner compressor for a nominal fee of $100, until a proper installation of new equipment could be performed. At the time, Fahnestock was the only outfit willing/able to provide a loaner unit. The technicians were extremely professional, punctual, and efficient. I could not be more satisfied with the work they performed.

My central air went out at a time of intense heat. Fahnestock had many other calls in front of me for the same thing (first really hot days this year). They could not schedule me for several days but I held out because of the company's reputation for quality (and I've used them before). The technician arrived shortly after 5PM after working numerous other calls. He went right to work, found the problem and fixed it. He told me the cost of parts and got my ok before installing them and before recharging the coolant. He was courteous and very competent. Not a wasted moment and at the same time he answered all my questions and explained what he was doing. The HVAC tech's name is Ron Hamilton and he did a great job. I would use them again and recommend them to others. I don't know how the price stacks up, but the peace of mind of having this company do the work makes up for any extra dollars.

Fahnestock reps were very courteous and professional in every aspect of the job. The project was particularly demanding as the old furnace was 60 years old and had to be disassembled to be removed. The techs were diligent in ensuring the work was completed within one day even though they had to put in a long day to get it done (thanks to the old furnace).

The installers showed up promptly. They brought all the appropriated fixtures to complete the install. On the first day I believe they were about 3/4 done with the project. I thought the installation would take about 3 days to complete. The installers were very professional and friendly. They answered all my questions and they made sure I understood what they were doing and why they were doing it. When they finished up the first day, they cleaned up leaving only the materials they needed to finish the project the next day. There was little to no inconvenience for me during the install.

Even though it was out of warranty, they fully admitted that the system was flawed from the beginning, yet accepted no practical responsibility for this product in the form of steeply discounted product or labor. I am a business owner and I would never dream of doing that to my customers, even if the product was 10 months out of warranty--that's just bad business, in my opinion.

We have a Annual Service Agreement With Fahnestock Heating and Cooling. We have used them since 2001. If you have the Servie Agreement, you can call night or weekends and a service person will come out at no charge to you. We have used them for years and only have to pay the Service Agreement Fee. We feel this is the best possible contract you could have. They are not the cheapest, but when you live in Wichita in the summer and your air conditioner goes out, you want immediate service! Their service personal are always friendly and honest. 13 years is a long time to stay with one company, but they are the BEST!!

We called them the day before and they promptly scheduled an appointment for the following day. The appointment was for "early afternoon" between 12 noon and 3:00 pm. They called at 3:30 pm to let us know that they were on their way. They arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem, but they didn't have the part with them. They had to leave to go retrieve the part and they had to get there before 5:00 pm as their parts store was closing. They retrieved the new parts and made it back to our house at about 7:00 pm. They reinstalled the part only to discover that the replacement fan had bearing problems as well! One guy removed the replacement part, while the other one called to try to get the parts store to reopen for them so they could complete the job (quite admirable.) They were unsuccessful in their attempt to get a a new part that night, so we had to wait until the next morning to complete the job. The service techs seemed very competent, knowledgeable and helpful, but their parts source's quality was average at best. I don't blame the contractor at all for this issue and I am satisfied that they did their very best. I am now considering their maintenance program.

Fahnestock came out and said that my AC system needed to be re-balance. They wanted $300 to do that but the person said it just takes a little playing with each duct valve. So I said that I would do that. I did ask them to check the A/C as it has not had a check up in 7 years but living part time - it only has run for about 20 months. He said that I have lost half my Freon and I most likely have a leak in my unit. The recharging of the freon (which is no longer being made and is very expensive - the reason my check up was $370) should suffice this summer but I may be in the same spot next year. I was very surprised that equipment was failing only after a couple years of actual use. Several days later, I was talking to my neighbor who also had their AC installed by Fahnestock - they told me that their compressor has failed twice in the past several years. They were told that there was a bad batch made in Mexico and had their first one replaced under warranty. The second one was repaired at their cost. So another example of equipment not lasting to their expected life. To be fair - the technician was top notch and professional. He did an extensive check of the duct work prior to telling me that I needed a rebalance of my ducts. Our conversation of a new system was very educational and helped me a lot. The cost to replace the evaporator coil is most likely to be above $1000 (from my internet search - I did not ask for a quote). I am leaning to replace my low end SEER 13 that the builder had installed by Fahnestock with a more efficient system. I did asked the technician to have their management call me so I could understand if Fahnestock stand behind their quality of equipment but I never got a call back. In the end, I will probably spend a large amount of money on a new system that I should have done when the house was first built. It just will not be with Fahnestock. Their service seems to be very good - their equipment that they installed is less than expected.

The two plumbers and one electrician were very prompt, excellent personalities, had great fun with them. They also worked very hard and never stood still for the duration of the instillation. The quality of work was excellent, even when running pvc care was taken so the writing on the pipe was turned away from the visible area. I have never meet a plumber than thought about that type of thing before.

It is a heating and air conditioning company, but they have electrical, and plumbing also. I like that I can make one phone call and get it all done. They were prompt, I called them, and they were here the next day. They are polite, professional and courteous. They are easy to deal with. They are super punctual, they call you and tell you that they will be here in 10 minutes, and they will be here in 10 minutes.

They were very polite, personable, and punctual. He gave us a couple of different options and wasn't pushy. He was very easy to work with. They came out pretty fast, they gave a very prompt service. I will use them again.

The electrician came more quickly than I expected, located the source promptly, and helped me avoid a large expense if the water had migrated to my panel.

I came home from helping my mom's plumbing situation to a basement with water from my hot water heater. I called Monday and someone came out the same day and replaced the hot water heater. Fast, no hassles and the price was what I was expecting. Great job!
