Description of Work: Moved all household goods from Kansas to Alabama. Move was executed well. Very professional group of guys. They were a few hours late and did not have enough help to complete the job a quick as I would have liked but finished without any damage or incident. I will use them again if needed.

Description of Work: They helped move us out of a two bedroom apartment into a new home, also made other stops to pick up additional items. Didn't break anything. Things went great! Highly recommend.

Description of Work: They moved my furniture out of my apartment and a storage unit into another home. It went very well my only regret is not using them for the original move. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Two men moved several large pieces of furniture from one side of duplex to the other. They moved items carefully but quickly. They were very friendly, professional and accommodating about arranging & rearranging pieces.

Description of Work: Kudos! The two gentlemen from American Movers were prompt, professional, efficient and careful with my furniture and boxes. The move involved an elevator on one end, and a staircase on the other. It's obvious they knew what they were doing and cared about doing a good job. Wayland and Ben were so easy to work with, and the price was so reasonable, I can't imagine a better moving experience.

Description of Work: They moved us from Valley Center to Wichita. The trucks were late due to a breakdown. They did work very hard loading everything up. They started around nine a.m. and finished around 5:30 p.m., taking only a half hour for lunch. We bought their lunch, as we felt they were truly a hard working bunch. There were five men and it took two and a half trucks to move everything. There were a few damages...a scratched up dryer, a computer desk with irreparable damage and a few broken vases, a glass hurricane cover and the glass in one painting. One corner of a sofa table was also damaged. They did cover the damages to the dryer, but only allowed us 25 dollars for the computer desk damage. Those two items were written down before they left, but the other damages were not found until the next two months, as we unpacked. ALL breakables, including paintings were wrapped in bubble wrap by us, so the later found damages were a bit puzzling. In all fairness, this crew worked extremely hard, however about 8 boxes were not put in the correct rooms, although they were clearly labeled. That wouldn't have been a big deal, except they should have gone to the basement. Considering everything, I probably would hire them again, only I would make a better inspection of furniture and call them about those broken items. We expected for a few things to be broken, but our biggest disappointment was only giving us twenty five dollars for the computer desk and file damages, which couldn't be repaired. One footnote...the computer desk was not wood...it is a high quality particle board.that cost over 400 dollars new for the desk and nearly 200 dollars for the file about four years ago. It had never been moved before and should have been handled more carefully by two men. Other than that, I would highly recommend them for the job. If anyone hires them, though, please be sure to watch them move this type of furniture...in fact just watch the whole thing. They won't point out any damages themselves...you will have to do that yourself. Plus, make sure your packing is done properly, using bubble wrap and cushioning wherever you have breakables.
