Description of Work: I made contact via Angies list web and received a response same day from Affordable Appliance and they came out as scheduled; determined the issue with our cloths dryer and replaced timer and was completed within 15 minutes. Great job and very, very timely. We will use again if the need arises.

Description of Work: Had trouble with my 15 yr old Kenmore washing machine. Called them in the morning and they sent a guy out at 2 that afternoon. After looking at the machine, he told me what needed to be replaced and also what would likely fail in the next few years. Gave me several options on what to replace and how long each part would last if not repaired and what the cost of a comparable new machine would be. Decided to replace both parts he recommended. Had the job finished in 1/2 hour. Very professional.

Description of Work: Quickly and professionally told me that they were unable to work on my washer since I'd removed the front fascia. It was apparently considered self maintenance. Then suggested I replace the unit. | |Resolution: I bought a new washer and dryer.

Description of Work: They checked out the calibration on my stove. It was determined I needed a new thermostat but I could come close to the correct temperature with trial and error because the stove seems to fluctuate 25 degrees.

Description of Work: The Whrilpool refridgerator wasn't cooling properly. The technician looked at the unit and told me that the particular model had a history of loosing freon and tracing and repairing the problem wasn't economically feasible. The best thing was to scrap it and buy an new refridgerator/freezer.

Description of Work: The tech did a great job fixing our smooking freezer. And also fixed our ice maker. He knwe exactly what he was doing and had all the parts he needed.

Description of Work: Larry was the name of the service man. I called early in the afternoon and he called and came and fixed the dryer and left before 5:30! Efficient. He had to repair the seal around the door and replace a light bulb in the dryer. Came and saw what the poroblem was. Gave me an estimate. Left and returned with the part and completed the task. For the amount of effort on his part, it seems like a lot of money. But I could not have done it myself.
