Description of Work: They tore out and replaced some of the lumber on the front porch columns that had wood rot, properly sealed the areas, and repainted all of the columns. They did an excellent job and were very responsive whenever I called. I don't know if it was a good deal as far as the price, which seemed a little on the high side.

Description of Work: Work Completed: -Vinyl Siding -Flooring: Hardwood, Tile and Carpet -Remove popcorn ceiling and add knockdown texture -Onyx shower and counter top install -Granite counter tops -Gas line to range -Install new lighting -Install new plumbing fixtures Pro's: The Passow crew did a great job. Ryan's team was very professional and provided quality work. I felt like his team went above and beyond what was required. The project website was a big plus. It was very easy to make selections and ask questions on the site. Ryan was very prompt with responses and gave good suggestions and advice. All con's below were addressed and resolved in a professional manner. Con's: First, there were several miscommunication with sub-contractors that led to work being done incorrectly the first time. (Counter top length wrong, wrong size floorboards, shower door too short). Second, timing for completion was longer than expected. Some of this due to our decision to make changes and additions, some due to worker's being moved to other jobs and rework.

Description of Work: Repaired roof in porch, repair was done well but they left a mess and tore the screen on our front door.

Description of Work: I bought handy man services directly from you. The guy that was sent out did not know what he was doing. I only got an hour worth of service even though I purchased 2. I never could get him to come back and at least give me all 2 hours of his poor services. I don't think I will be using Angie's list again.

Description of Work: Removed and replaced rotted siding due to water leakage from faulty windows. They were able to find our discontinued siding for the project. They were on time and it was quality work.

Description of Work: Work was delayed in getting started due to an unusual rainy season. They covered 3/4 of my house with new high quality siding. The work was very good BUT 3X I asked them to remove some debris from its roof while their scaffold was up -- 3X they said yes but it wasn't done. Gutter/downspouts disconnected to put siding behind it & not reconnected. Material left on the lawn rather than driveway, yellowing the grass underneath. A new small Honda generator disappeared from my living room but I'm not sure that's their fault. Their bid to paint the house was 4X higher than that from the people I'll use.

Description of Work: Repaired floor in both bathroom and family room after water damage--I worked with Chris--He was very professional in both manner and work--The crew did a great job and I will be using them again in the near future. I highly recommend Passow Remodeling.

Description of Work: I needed a leaking dryer vent hose in my attic repaired or replaced. I purchased 2 hours of handyman service from Passow Remodeling as part of a promotional special that Angie's List was offering. The workers showed up on time but they were not aware of what needed to be repaired and were not prepared with the proper equipment. They looked at the hose in the attic and said that there was a leak in one of the joints. They said the repair would involve taping over the joint. They had to go to a home repair store to obtain the tape. They promised that the time spent during the trip to the store would not count toward the 2 hours of service. They spent 15 minutes taping up the joints. I was told there would be time remaining on the purchase to have them return in the future for another task. I knew that the remodeling company did larger repair jobs and told them that I would be interested in getting some estimates on some future remodeling projects. They said they would relay my interest to their supervisor. After they left, I noticed that they left a scratch in my hardwood floor outside of the closet they used to access the attic. I never heard back from this company about any further interest in future remodeling projects, although I decided I wouldn't use them for that purpose after I thought about how unprepared their workers were and that they left a scratch on my floor. | |Last week, I needed another small repair in my home and I contacted Passow Remodeling to see if they could apply the balance of the time I purchased to perform that task. I was told right away that there was no balance left and that they used up all of the 2 hours on the job last month. I explained that they were here for less than an hour and that I had time left. I asked him to look up the invoice to be certain. He told me that he couldn't find the record of the job and that he just knew that there was no more time left on the purchase. I told him to look up the records to be sure. He then told me that the offer was a "one time deal" and that it didn't matter how much time they spent on the job--there was no more work they could apply to that purchase. I then received a call and message back saying that they could schedule something the next week but I decided that, with all I had been through, I had no interest in their services. | |To make matters entirely worse, while drying clothes last evening, the dryer hose they supposedly fixed started leaking again. So in essence, I spent $130 on a job that was not done correctly and all I have to show for it is a scratch on my floor. I would not recommend Passow Remodeling to anyone.

Description of Work: They removed, repaired and replaced 2 rotted siding areas on our home exterior. They were professional and punctual. Very personable dealings with owner, from start to finish. We will call on them again for our next bathroom finishing project!

Description of Work: We had a major addition and Passow used excellent quality subcontractors and really pushed them to get the job done on time. I was less pleased with the quality of the trim work by some of the Passow employees. For the overall project Passow Remodeling was great.

Description of Work: Passow Remodeling has been doing work for me for over two years. Everything from new roof to siding repair, new side porch, repair kitchen floor tile, level breezeway floor and install new tile, family room remodel including hardwood floor, building a fireplace mantle, and the list goes on. The next item is to replace the windows in the kitchen. Very satisfied with their work.

Description of Work: We were remodeling our bathroom. They came out and gave us an estimate. They were fine but we decided to go another direction. They were very professional. They were referred to us by a friend too. Their bid was also in line with other bids that we had as well.

Description of Work: I was going to have a ceramic tile floor put in my bathroom but the floor had rotted due to a toilet leaking and I had to have the floor replaced.
