KAL Electric

I found Kal electric on Angies list and called. They came out the same day and diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate and did the repair the next day as stated. I would absolutely use them again and will recommend them to anyone who needs an electrician.

The work was performed as promised and on the day promised.

They showed up on time, removed the old lights and put together the new lights and hung them. In and out in 45 minutes, no issues.

It went like clockwork from the bid to actual install of a 220 circut for the hot tub. Done on time and done well.

I NEEDED SOME ELECTRICAL WORK DONE AND I CHOSE KAL ELECTRIC FROM HIS STELLAR REVIEWS FROM ANGIE'S LIST.BRAD,THE OWNER CAME OUT PER APPOINTMENT WITHIN A DAY OR SO.DISCUSSED WITH BRAD ALL THE WORK I WANTED DONE. HE SAW MY CEILING FAN WHICH WAS ONLY BRACED ON ONE SIDE HANGING OUT OF THE CEILING(THAT WASN'T EVEN ON MY LIST) BUT HE TOOK IT DOWN BECAUSE HE WAS AFRAID IT WOULD FALL AND SAID HE'S GOING TO FIX THAT .I SHOWED HIM WHERE I NEEDED RECEPTACLES ,THE ATTIC FAN THAT WASN'T PULLING AIR, THE TWO BATHROOMS THAT NEEDED EXHAUST FANS,THE FAULTY RECEPTACLE FOR THE MICROWAVE,AND THE WANT FOR AN OUTSIDE RECEPTACLE. HE INSPECTED MY ELECTRICAL PANELS AND CEILINGS IN THE BASEMENT FOR WIRE PLACEMENT.THEN WE WENT UP TO THE ATTIC TO SEE THE CEILING FAN.HE POINT OUT THE LOOSE WORN BELT AND HOW THE MOUNT WAS NOT SECURE.WE WENT OUTSIDE TO SEE WHERE HE COULD PLACE THE EXHAUST FAN FOR THE BASEMENT FAN. HE TOLD ME HOW MUCH IT WAS GOING TO BE WHICH WAS WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE AROUND. I AGREED, HE SET UP AN APPOINTMENT SAID IT WOULD BE ALL DAY WITH A FULL CREW (3). MIKE,DENNIS AND HARRISON ARRIVED 15 MINUTES EARLY AND WORKED ALL DAY.MY HOME WAS BUILT IN 1926 SO THEY HAD TO GO THROUGH LATHE AND PLASTER.FOR THE BASEMENT FAN MIKE DRILLED THRU 31 INCHES OF BRICK AND WOOD . MIKE SHOWED ME THAT THE BLADE HOLDERS ON THE CEILING FAN WERE BENT. HELPED ME ORDER THEM FROM HAMPTON BAY.TOLD ME TO CALL WHEN THE CAME IN AND HE WOULD REPLACE. THESE GUYS WORKED THEIR BACKSIDES OFF! CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND ARE INTERESTING TO TALK TO,YOU TOO BRAD. THE COST WAS RIGHT ON. I RECIEVED MY FAN HOLDERS A WEEK LATER BUT I'M LOOKING FOR NEW LIGHTING FIXTURES AND WILL CALL BACK WHEN I'VE PICK THEM OUT.EXCELLENT WORK,EXCELLANT EXPERIENCE

Monique in the office always gets back to you with clear answers and genuinely does all that she can to meet your needs as a customer. She was very candid with me about when KAL could come out and wanted to make sure that worked for me. When Brad came out, he was friendly, fast and efficient in diagnosing the problem, discussing the most cost effective and long-term fix and then making it all come together. He is an excellent problem solver and he definitely wants to make your situation come together in a responsible, well-thought out approach. Within a short time he had the lights working in concert with the new timer and made very sure we got all of our questions answered. Thanks, Brad!!! I called several places for an estimate. Kal Electric was one of them. Brad showed up as scheduled. My doorbell hasn't worked in a longtime, in fact the actual button wasn't even there anymore. Before he even knocked, Brad was checking out the doorbell. Had not even met me before he started working! When the day came to do the work, 3 very nice & polite gentlemen showed up -again on time! These guys were just AWESOME! They explained everything, cleaned up after themselves & made sure I was happy throughout the entire process. I feel that I got what I paid for in every way. When I need electrical work again, I won't even need Angie's List! I know EXACTLY who I am going to call!

I wanted to surprise my daughter and son-in-law by changing out a can light above their kitchen sink. They bought a fixture for it several months ago, but found out the can converter they bought with it was more challenging than they thought, so it all sat around gathering dust. While they were out of town celebrating their first anniversary I contacted KAL and set up an appointment to have the fixture installed. KAL came highly recommended by someone I trust and Brad did the job right. I would definitely use this company again :

As Brad was removing the light fixtures in the ceiling a dead (thank goodness) mouse fell out of the opening. He did NOT scream like a girl. I did not see the mouse but it had been deceased for a very long time. Brad put it in the trash for me. Thank you Brad.

Called us back immediately , came on time and did the work as expected. Discovered later that three outlets were no longer working in our kitchen. Brad returned immediately when called and spent two to three hours of his time troubleshooting. Fixed the problem with no additional charge. We were impressed!

They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered my questions. The price might have been a little high, but I am not sure. I have used them twice.

They called thirty min prior o arriving, which was nice. The work was repaired quickly and then he told me everything that was done and why. Very professional!

Brad called to see if it was ok to arrive early. He checked the attic fan, determined the issue, made the necessary repairs and was out the door in less than 30 minutes.

Their service is truly incredible! We’ve used them for over fifteen years, so we’ve gotten to know the owner, Brad, well. Brad will often come out to jobs himself, and he is very knowledgeable and practical. He provides helpful, honest, cost effective suggestions. Also, their pricing isn’t exorbitant.

After I submitted my request, the office called me the very next day and setup for Brad to come by and give me an estimate. Brad was actually a little early which was fine and he explained to me a couple different options regarding having an electrical outlet for my sump pump. On the day of service, Brad was agina early which I liked and he went right to work and did an excellent job with the elctrical outlet. Could not have asked for a better job. He also hung the alarm for my sump pump on the wall which was above and beyond. Very professional and cost was reasonable. Would call again.

They said attic fans were not as sturdy now as in years past and recommended a new motor and belt for mine. They ordered it and installed it when it arrived as scheduled. They took care of all the other items on their original trip without a hitch. I was very pleased with their workmanship and my wife was very pleased with their professionalism, since she was the one at home when they worked.

Now whenever my wife calls they said we are blacklisted in their computer system and they refuse to do work for us. We have wracked our brains and can't figure out what we did?! We have lots of people we work with and they always come back. This is our first experience being blacklisted!!

Came in set up their ladder, took the old fixture down and installed the new one. Were very professional. Would highly recommend them.

Brad from Kal electric came to my house the same day I called to repair my doorbell which hadn't woked in months. Not only did he do the work I hired him to do, he gave me several options on changing the lighting in my house to update it. I will have him back in the future to do some lighting work. He was very courteous and just a nice guy to work with.

He was in and out in an hour. He knew exactly what the problem was.

Great experience from start to finish. They were on-time and called prior to coming to make sure we were home and it was OK to come out. I work from home and when they came I was busy with a client call. They quietly came into the house and worked quietly (even though I didn't ask them to, they just did it). They were very courteous and efficient in their work. They completely cleaned everything up and verified the work was done to my satisfaction. We have hired two other electricians in the past and in both cases there was damage or work done improperly so I am very pleased to find an electrician company that does great and professional work

It went well. All the work took 2 days to do. Brad did a fine job and was personable while working. He was willing to do little extra things to make sure the job was done right and that we were happy with it. He made the lights dimmable which was also very nice.
