Description of Work: The gentlemen from Kal Electric installed two ceiling fans I purchased in our ceiling which is 21 feet high. They were very professional, but fun. Answered all the questions my grandson had for them. And even cleaned up to the smallest bit of carbboard/paper. I would certainly recommend them and use them for any / all electrical needs.

Description of Work: I used Kal Electric back in 2003 to upgrade my Electrical Service from 60amps to 200amps. Kal, himself, did the work. He did a fabulous job, was personable, professional and I would gladly call him again!

Description of Work: Replaced a large chandelier on my 20 foot foyer ceiling. Did an excellent job and were fast and polite. Price was very reasonable.

Description of Work: Fixed several electrical issues found during home inspection. They did an excellent job and were extremely nice and responsive when we had another unexpected electrical problem with a breaker after they were done. We will absolutely use them again when needed. He took the time to explain what is he was doing and why and never made me feel like an annoyance. Thanks!!!!

Description of Work: I would highly recommend Kal Electric. Very professional, on time, knowledgable and the follow thru was top notch. First impression was fantastic. We are selling our home and so not sure buyers will use Kal but I would not hesitate.

Description of Work: They installed 3 light fixtures. The personnel were personable and efficient. The only problem we encountered was that they installed crystals which we didn't want installed. We then had to remove them. I don't know if we failed to communicate clearly our preferences or they failed to hear what we wanted done. This was, I believe, a second service thay have provided. We definitely recommend them to others who want professional, cost-effective electrical services performed.

Description of Work: I called them to say I had a brass chandelier that there were 3 lights that were either not working or hit and miss. I told them I did not know the age of the chandelier and asked how much it would cost. I was quoted over the phone between $150 and $180 dollars at most! They came and said it was the sockets that needed to be fixed and left and came back with sockets they then quoted $240 and I said I had been told max of $180. They then unscrewed the sockets and screwed the new sockets in which was quick as a wink. I told them I was frustrated that it was such a simple maneuver and I was charged $190 for it. Afterward I noticed that my dimmer did not work, I called back and told the owner it was not working and he explained that if a socket blew it would automatically blow the dimmer so it had to be replaced, he also said that the dimmer should have been checked the first time they were out seeing that this was always the case.. He came to my house and then told me $65 to replace the dimmer. On his way out to his vehicle he noted that the cover for my outside outlet was broken and asked if I wanted him to get me one of those while he was at home depot, I said sure. He came back replaced the dimmer and then said I owed him $95. I said I was not happy that the price went up $30 when all he added was an outlet cover. He said the dimmer was more then he had thought, it was $45. He then threw the containers for both the dimmer and outlet cover in my trash, I did not trust him at this point because he had upcharged me each opportunity he had and so I checked on the home depot site and the dimmer he used was $19.95 and the cover was 4.95, I called the next day and told his wife what had been done and said I was going to report this to Angies list.

Description of Work: The phone was answered immediately and I was able to get someone out to look at a very tricky electric meter issue the next morning. The best service I received after calling 10 places. I would definitely call on them again.

Description of Work: For a large part of my career, I had a team of electricians who did both electrical cabling and low-voltage cabling in the commercial space. I also contracted with dozens of companies such as KAL. For this small job I asked them to install flood lights on the north and south exterior of my house and to wire that back to a back porch light switch. It was a slam dunk for themm I would put them at the top of my list for quality, profesionalism, and value. With some home rennovations on thenear horizon, I know that I will be asking KAL to do the work.

Description of Work: I called them out of the blue today at 1PM to see if they could hook up my new cooktop when the other electrician didn't show. They had it finished by 4:30 which included new 220 wire from one side of the house to the other! Great guys and my induction cooktop is up and running for the weekend.

Description of Work: KAL sent out two young men. They were on time, professional and polite. They did the work neatly and on time. They estimated the job to be 3-4 hours. It actually took maybe a little less time. The bid was right on, they had the tools and parts needed. They moved a light fixture, wired and placed an outlet for 220, and installed a ceiling fan in our bathroom. Very reasonable and very good. I also got the Angie's List discount. I would use them again.

Description of Work: Checked and determined that electrical circuit breakers were all working properly. It turned out that I did not have the problem I thought I had. Our a/c had a problem over that weekend but when he came out and checked everything and turned it on it worked. So, he didn't really do any work other than as noted above.
