Brad first came over for a consultation and was very nice and enthusiastic. We scheduled a date about a month out and two guys showed up to do the work. The final product was OK, I guess; not great. They left debris and tools in the yard and I was unhappy with the way the outdoor lights looked. They came a second time and added some more lights and did some fixes but still it does not look right. I am going to hire someone else to make it right. When faced with criticism, Brad became defensive and not pleasant to work with. For being as expensive as he is, I would expect the work to be better. I think the main problem is that he's not much of a designer. If you know exactly what you want, he may be OK but don't let him design the lights for you.

This is a first-class outfit. The crew was prompt, very polite and professional. Best electric contractors I've ever worked with. I highly recommend.

I called the company to request help buying and installing an attic fan. The representative called me right back to set up a time for May 16th. I explained I needed a fan as quickly as possible because my basement flooded with all the rain and my sump pump broke down. I needed the fan to help dry it out. The representative called me back within 5 minutes and set up a time for today between 11:00 and 1:00. I was amazed with their quick response.

We were very pleased not only with the outcome but the attitudes of the workers was great, especially as they were working outside and it was very cold. I wouldn't hesitate to have them do additional work at our home.

When I called Kal Electric to come out, they were there the next day on time. They analyzed the problem quickly and said they parts would be in in a week and that the office would call to set up the appointment. As soon as Brad left, the office called and did so. On the day they were to come, they called to say they would be a little late (unusual experience for us as no one seems to ever call to let you know they will be late!). They came out and immediately, installed the parts and we were good to go with lights that worked! The installation took about 10 minutes. I think the price was a little steep, for the amount of time it took to do the job, but I was very impressed with Kal's promptness and expertise. Yes, I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

The estimate was right on (much less than another estimate I got), the work was done well, it passed inspection, and the crew was friendly. The person at the office was very helpful and friendly, too.

They did beautiful work, but had to come back 3 times to fix it. They did come back promptly, but they did have to come back.

When Brad came to give estimate, he was right on time. Call ahead. Very personable and helpful in making suggestions. Promptly sent a formal estimate via email. On the morning the work was scheduled to be done, he and his crew showed up right on time. He reviewed the work, they asked questions and off they went. Tyler and Sing were the crew that worked on my house. They had to send wires up and over soffits and work in a cramped space. You couldn't tell they'd ever been there. When the ceiling fan I purchased wasn't going to work, they did other work so I could dash out to a hardware store and get a replacement. Then installed that...instead of making me reschedule and charge me extra. Everything, from the placement of the lights, to the fan to the politeness of the crew, to the estimate process....was wonderful. This was the most positive experience I've had with a contractor in years!!!!

Good work, finished on time and cleaned up reasonably well after themselves.

Great service, as usual. They were the ones who put the 200 amp service to the house, as opposed to the 60 amp that was there before. Neat and articulate service people give us confidence in working with them.

Everything seemed to be going well, electric meter was disconnected with temporary hookup till work was completed. Noticed that workmen moved things, made messes and didn't clean them up/move them back where they found them; work required approval by inspector who didn't approve it. Said if the electric company had hooked it up as is, it could have possibly caused a fire. They came back to make modifications and insisted on being paid right then, which I did not until inspector had approved. Inspector approved and they called Electric Company to move meter. They did not arrange an appt. and called me as I was out of town (which I had previously told them); said electric company was on it's way and they needed access to my house immediately. Told them that was difficult as I was out of town, but they insisted. Got them a key, but told them my computer was not unplugged. No problem they said. When I got back the power surge had scrambled my computer and EVERYTHING was lost.

Nice guy came out and did bid promptly. Two men came out to do the work. Did hot appear to know exactly what they were doing. Original guy came out and helped them finish the job. After they left had problems with doorbell. It was wired incorrectly. They sent two other men out after notified of problem. They also did not appear to know what they were doing. Had to call in to get help. Put tools on nice rugs, threw coats on furniture. Poor clean up after job was finished.

Called Mike around 9:00 he showed up around 10:00 and had the work done by 10:30.

We were very impressed. Brad came right out to give us an estimate, and once we determined we wanted to have it done, they were able to get out the following week. One of the crew members suggested that the light switch be moved for easier access, and they let us know that for resale value, we had to have the outlets at a certain height...we certainly didn't know! They were very courteous, prompt, they cleaned up everything when they were done, and they even looked at a can light we were having issues with at no charge. We would absolutely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

From start to finish, I was most impressed with this company. My initial email was promptly returned with a phone call, the owner showed up exactly on time (and fixed my doorbell, gratis!), the quote for the work was reasonable, the workman showed up exactly on time, he worked steadily until the job was completed, and he did a great job cleaning up after he was completed. I would have absolutely no hesitation calling them again for any/all of my electrical needs. A+ in my book!

They were on time and they did the work for the estimated amount. It only took a few minutes - but they knew exactly what to do.

First, Brad was very helpful by asking several questions after I described the project. He made several suggestions that I did not consider or know about which greatly improved the project. Other contractors just said okay to what I proposed, not offering their experience. His bid was very, very competitive. The installation team did an outstanding job showing me the project along the way to ensure I was satisfied with their work. They covered all the furniture and cleaned up after the project was completed.

Brad, the owner, came by for an initial estimate of upping our 1950's house from 60 to 100 amps, as our insurance agent said we had to get it done. The wiring in our house was a mess. No properly grounded outlets and I worried about the electronic devices in the house. Brad's quote was for about 800 bucks. A few pals of ours talked us into upping our house to 200 amps, although it is probably overkill. Brad had already told us that we didn't need that much power for this small house, but my wife and I thought perhaps any future tenants would want the power if they added on to the house. A few weeks later his crew came out and spent 8 hours on the place, even wiring up a few incidental overhead lights before they left. A few days later, on a Saturday, Brad came by to check up on his crew's work, and made a few minor adjustments. I have since used his company for work at my business. Their ease of communication and quality of work keeps me coming back!

I couldn't get over how fast and efficient Dustin and Chad, the two very nice guys, from Kal were. They were in and out in under an hour! The work is the best, I'm definitely going to call again for a few other things I need done.

Both the estimate and the work was done when scheduled and the work was done exactly during the time scheduled. The owner, Brad Kalush and the electricians, Dustin and Chad were professional and courteous. The price was reasonable, the work was done neatly and we were very pleased with their service.

Amazing!! The TV and lights went out unexpectedly and several outlets in the living room and sun room were without power. Brad made repairs and was able to get power out of all of the outlets. Most impressive, my hard-to-please knows-everything-about-everything Dad was at my house during the repair & had nothing but great things to say, how smart Brad was, how hard he worked, etc.! About a month later, the lights went out again. I called Kal Electric & Brad came out the next afternoon & checked all of the outlets & made the appropriate repairs. Brad was very good about explaining what he was doing, showing me the damaged connection, explaining why this happened despite the repair (to a different outlet) a month earlier. As an added bonus, while my 3 year old was showing off, Brad noticed a problem with her tricycle and repaired the wheel, Gratis. Great guy and a testament to Angie's List, I found Kal Electric here & called because of the great reviews. I was not disappointed.

The Kal Electric people were courteous, prompt, did exactly what I asked them to do, and I was very impressed!
