Services we don't offer
Moving boxes and furniture to and from a home or storage such as a moving company with a truck would do. We are not equipped for this.
Bulk Garbage Removal is something we are not equipped to do however, we can have a dumpster ordered or help you schedule a bulk pick up from your local agency.
She arrived on time and got right to work. Friendly and professional.
Description of Work: It has been a while, so I don't remember the woman's name, but she was a big help in organizing an office space. She had great suggestions for what to keep and how, and even helped carry the giveaway items downstairs. I don't recall the exact date the service was performed.

The people were nice. Certainly not the $400.00 value promised. Not prepared to do the clean up, eg. Brooms etc. I provided brooms and a shop vac and worked alongside the entire time. They promise to take things to charity and send a receipt which never came. I even gave a couple of items to one of the women that she wanted and supplied them with multiple bottles of cold water. I am sure they were hot and this may have contributed to what I saw as a lack of drive. Also, one had some experience and the other had little. We got some things done but I felt that I could have done the same in just a bit more time. Disappointing but very nice and well-intended people. So far, I have not been that impressed with hires from Angie's list. You need to take just as many precautions as you would if you were hiring directly. This is especially true with organizations that have multiple employees who provide differing levels of quality.

The "We Organize" folks were eacy to work with, both in scheduling their visit and on the actual day. They didn't flinch when they saw the state of my garage (my daughter swears I'm a class "2" horder). They created areas on the driveway to sort contents into throw out, donate and keep items. It was motivational to have the help and the company while cleaning out the space. They took two full pick up truck loads of "stuff" to the donation center; that was huge for me. I would have needed to made a dozen or more trips in my car to equal the 2 truck loads. There was no judgement over anything I wanted to keep. The staff was personable and friendly; I'll use them again when I start on the inside of the house
Description of Work: Two members of "We Organize" spent 4 hours at my house on a Saturday morning pulling everything out onto the driveway and helping me sort through and identify the stuff to keep. Trash was piled at the curb for pick up and they took material to the donation center.

This happened months ago, but I wanted to make sure to give my review although it was late. I saw a deal on Angie's list for home organization when I was 7 months pregnant. I contacted the company prior to purchasing to see if they would be able to help me. I explained I would need help actually coordinating my move and then setting in, unpacking, and organizing since I would have a new baby. I spoke with Kristi who was very nice and confident they would be able to help me with my move which was actually months away. Once the moving day was approaching I got back in contact with Kristi, who put me in contact with Ann to get the process going. Ann assigned Angie to my project and scheduled a day for her to come and meet with me to discuss the move process. In the meeting I was very clear what I needed, what the schedule would be and I made it very clear that I needed her to step in and take charge. On moving day, Angie had not showed up so I called Ann. I was told Angie would not be coming and that I was supposed to have been called the day before to let me know. Ann did come in her place, although an hour or so after we were supposed to get started. Ann tried her best to jump in, but there was so much prep that I had gone over with Angie that the whole process was on a downward sprial after that. Pair that with a new baby and I was very overwhelmed and stressed. I had to spend more time re-explaining the process to Ann. I also had spent a lot of time with Angie going over materials that would be needed for the organization process (bins, labels, shelf liner, drawer organizers) that were never supplied. I took it upon myself to get shelf liner early that morning. Ann took a lot of time to install these, but instead of complaining about how it was the wrong material, I wish she would have stepped in, recommended the correct material, and took charge of the situation. I am not an organizer, did not know the best product - this is why I hired the organization people. The "organization process." itself left a lot to be desired. I am a very organized person, just didn't have the time to get it done so I had high expectations. I have to say there was A LOT unpacking to be done. I purchased so many hours but let them know I would be willing to pay as much as I needed to get more hours and get it done right. The company didn't do much besides unpack boxes. There was little to no organization done. I would like to take a second to compliment Helen. She came in on day two, took charge, and gave me recommendation on how to better organize my closet or what she could do if she came back. HSe only did the closet, but if she had been involved from the beginning I think I might have been happier. At the end of the hours I purchased I was so frustrated that I wanted to just get them out and start getting things done on my own. One of the things we discussed from the beginning was removing all donations items, boxes and packing materials. Anyone who has moved knows how annoying these can be post move. It was such a chore to get The Organization People to remove the boxes and paper from the move. This was scheduled a few days later. There was much left behind in the house that I still had to deal with. In addition I had to handle all of the donation items myself. When I received the bill from Ann, I had issues which I contacted her about. They tried to charge me for Angies time and her consultation. I refused to pay for this as I was never told of a consultation fee. In addition the couple of hours Angie did work was prepping for everything I had to reexplain to Ann. She made my move very stressful and Although Ann said she was only charging me for what Angie's cost was to the company I felt they should suffer, not me, for hiring an irresponsible employee. Ann did get back to me and offered to waive the fees in order to have another chance to come and make things right. This was very professional of them. At the time, I was so disappointed in their work and upset about the whole process that I wanted to just pay them and work with a new company that I felt could actually complete the job to my satisfaction. I will be finding another company to help me with the rest of the organizing at the house.
Description of Work: I hired the organization people to act as coordinators and organizers on a move into a new house since I had just had a new baby. They were to meet with me for a run through before the job started (which they tried to charge for and this was not noted up front), Show up prior on packing day to direct packers and organize box labeling, show up on move day to help place furniture, Recommend and purchase organization materials (shelf liners, storage containers, labeling, etc.) show up and unpack once move was finished. In addition, their were main room (garage, kitchen, office, basement) that would require actual organizing.

i am very happy to have a garage again. Be ready to throw away what you don't need and you will be very happy with the result.
Description of Work: Hard working ladies with professional attitudes completely cleaned my garage in less than 4 hours, and believe me it was piled high! They systematically removed everything and put them in piles of like kind, asked me if I needed to keep it all, replaced what I needed in the garage in an orderly fashion, put trash by the curb and loaded items for charity. I don't know if their ability to lift and move heavy items impressed me most, or the fact that it was almost 100 degrees in the shade. They really earned their money.

Absolutely worth the money! I had two ladies come out today for four hours and help me clean out my garage and basement and I just couldn't wait for them to leave so I could write a review. The ladies were so sweet and personable. I couldn't believe how much work we accomplished together in such a short time. They were very patient with me as I went through belongings sorting them out with what I'd like to keep and give away or throw away, but very efficient, working on other tasks as they waited. They organized and separated things exactly the way that I wanted it and I was able to get rid of sooo much stuff that was left in my basement and garage from moving in (boxes, construction supplies, etc.) They are even going to help haul it away. I had a wonderful experience with the organization people and I'd love to have them back, but I have nothing left to organize! I'll be spreading the word though.

She came and did a great job. We had a couple of things come up, and we had some scheduling issues and she hasn't come back, which is kind of disappointing. She was prompt. I got in quick and I didn't have to wait a long time for them to respond. She worked very well with me. She has my closet looking fantastic. The re-scheduling thing was the only problem. There were quite a few things we couldn't get to. I am going to try to use this company again to finish up the project.

Now I have three dogs on top of a home that hasn't been dusted, mopped or just use your imagination for over two months. I just don't live this way. When she let me know she was done and I walked into my kitchen it was like a breath of fresh air LITERALLY! Those were my words to to Shari exactly. I rescheduled her to come back June 2nd. She did an outstanding job and I couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: I live in Topeka, Kansas and I had written down all the information to call The Organization Inc. for two reasons. I had been away from my home for over two months so obviously as a disabled veteran, I needed help cleaning my home, but I also loved the fact that they staged homes as well. As a brand new member of Angies List, they just happen to offer a deal the very next day after I had written down The Organization's information so I of course purchased my first Angies List deal. Today is May 19, 2012 and Shari, an awesome member of this company, just left from cleaning my home. I asked her if it was okay to lay down as I wasn't feeling well after we had talked and I showed her my house.

Kristi arrived a few minutes early and was from the start one of the most professional individuals with whom I have interacted. She listened to our ideas of how the basement should look and built on them, using built in shelving that I feared was not deep enough to do much of anything with. I had tried in the 9 months we have lived here to make them work. Kristi immediately started cleaning THOROUGHLY while we started sorting keep/give away piles. Things easily fell together as she quickly labeled the drawers, did the lion's share of lifting and carrying as we unpacked a few boxes and was all the while very pleasant and efficient. I would suggest skipping any morning workout before trying to keep up with her. I'm sure she outworked me for the entire 4 hours and it was nonstop work for her. The go getter attitude inspired us to move a refrigerator to gain more space and unpack and repack my wife's stockpile shelving units. I simply can't express how happy I am now giving 2 tours to neighbors and friends of our new basment as well as being able to descend the stairs knowing exactly where my staple gun or peanut butter is.

I bought the deal on Angie's List, and Ann called me within a couple of hours of purchase to discuss my needs and schedule. She called the evening before to confirm and arrived right on time for the job. I have a large garage, and it was worse than full - due to circumstances, many boxes and items had never been "moved in" and put where they belong, and I also had many boxes of stuff that I'd brought from my parents' house to sort through. The job was way too overwhelming for me alone, but Ann got right to work helping to get like with like, including donations and trash. She worked fast and stayed at it and was a gentle taskmaster while encouraging me to let go of things, yet didn't make me feel guilty about the stuff I chose to keep. Ann is so friendly and fun to work with that you almost don't notice how much work it really is. At the end of our session she helped load a truck full of stuff to donate and carried all of the trash to the curb for me. We didn't get through all of it in the time we had, but got so much done that I could easily finish myself. I'm just thrilled that I can now park two vehicles in the garage, and I'll no longer be embarrassed if I have the garage door open when neighbors happen by. I highly recommend Ann and The Organization People and will hire them again.

Kristi is fantastic. I was embarrassed that I called the Organization People, but my sewing room was disgraceful and I wasn't doing anything to correct the situation. I chose the Organization People because of the wonderful reviews clients had given the firm on Angie's List. And Kristi never made me feel bad about being so messy. Kristi does not waste time. She immediately asked me what my organizational goals were and then set about accomplishing them. She also was extremely sweet about letting me babble on about whatever topic popped into my head, so I was never bored while we were organizing. And, if I bored Kristi, she never let on. I am a quilter and have many pieces of fabric. It took eight hours of solid work in two four-hour shifts (one as scheduled for Monday and one added for Tuesday). How Kristi figured out how to store all my stuff in a manner in which I can find everything is amazing. You can walk in my sewing room and family room now. The game table is empty, so we can actually use it. We didn't have time to organize the few bookshelves devoted to my office, but Kristi's efforts were so contagious that I know I will do it myself in the next few days. I'd do it right now, but I'm still making Christmas presents during these last four days before the holiday. And, I know I will organize the office shelves because that job does not seem insurmountable. Organizing all the sewing stuff was absolutely daunting. Kristi somehow accomplished the Herculean task of making the organizing fun. I am really happy I have a pleasant room to sew in now.

Great to conquer a big project that if I could have done on my own would have taken an entire day.Well worth the price, even at normal rate of $200. She specializes in kitchens, but does anything needed.Jennifer is just the one for the job! We emptied, purged, sorted, cleaned, vacuumed and re-organized a large pantry. She left my project totally done, no homework left!

Moving boxes and furniture to and from a home or storage such as a moving company with a truck would do. We are not equipped for this.
Bulk Garbage Removal is something we are not equipped to do however, we can have a dumpster ordered or help you schedule a bulk pick up from your local agency.
