Services we don't offer
Moving boxes and furniture to and from a home or storage such as a moving company with a truck would do. We are not equipped for this.
Bulk Garbage Removal is something we are not equipped to do however, we can have a dumpster ordered or help you schedule a bulk pick up from your local agency.
When I first used this company, I had an organizer by the name of Helen, and she was fabulous!! Very prompt in contacting me after I had purchased The Big Deal, no problem working with my schedule, showed up on time, worked with me, very congenial, hard working......truly an enjoyable experience. Not so much this time!! I purchased this Big Deal back in March. Krystal never contacted me, so I contacted her. I travel with my job quite a bit, usually out of the country, and so it's been difficult finding a day she can come that works with my schedule. The last e-mail I sent to her about a day that would work for me was almost 2 weeks ago and I have yet to hear back from her. I just re-sent the e-mail to her today. When I first called to schedule an appointment, I asked to be scheduled with Helen again, but Krystal said she wasn't there any longer. Bummer for me. So far, I would give them a "D" rating on this experience, but am trying to keep an open mind. If I do hear back from Krystal and get an appointment, I am praying that my experience with her will be as nice as it was with Helen.

They were supposed to send two people from 9-1 for a total of 8 man hours. One person came at 10 and he stayed until about 3. He did have someone else join him for about an hour at the end. So, they spent about 6 hours total but that's really all it took for our clean out. He was very nice and professional. I felt very comfortable having him here going through our things. He started by pulling things out of the garage and then sweeping it out. Then he put like items together and put them back in the garage. I feel like he did a good job. That said, I do feel like the service I got was really just a garage clean out - not really any organization service offered. They didn't suggest any alternative or new ways to organize or store our things which I'd hoped to get. Really they just went back in to the same place they were before minus trash. I also wish the cleaning would have been more comprehensive than just sweeping with our broom. Perhaps a shop vac (could have used ours) to get more dirt/dust out and cobwebs or something. Although I know I'm sounding negative, I did think it was good value for the money spent. It saved me from having to spend an entire weekend day doing it myself which was great. And, they took away one pickup truck bed worth of trash which would taken us several weeks to get rid of in our regular trash. I would probably hire them again down the line.

It went very well and she offered good guidelines for the rest of the project. She was very good and professional in her approach and yet easy to talk to.
Description of Work: Kristal arrived just a tad early and started to work as soon as I told her the goal for the session which was to start a system of weeding out unneeded papers and documents. She stayed with it the entire 4 hours.

We did end up getting rid of quite a bit of stuff, which was helpful. Crystal was very efficient and stayed on task very well. I had purchased 3 hours of assistance. The time went by quickly. It would have been nice if I could have given her more general guidelines about what to keep and what to discard, but I couldn't really figure out such instructions, so I had to be nearby making decisions for nearly every item. These are my own issues and don't detract from the job Crystal did.

She arrived promptly and we got right to the work at hand. Went through every piece of clothing in the closet, sorted through, made piles for a garage sale, give away, etc. Put clothes on new hangers. The time went by so fast because she was fun and chatty and worked diligently. She stayed longer than the 4 hours and we actually got the closet finished. She took the old hangers with her to give to Goodwill for which I was grateful - 2 extra large garbage bags full. Great experience.
Description of Work: Crystal helped me clean out our master bedroom closet. She was efficient, friendly, and worked very hard, even spent about 45 minutes extra to finish to job. Loved her and would have her back again to help me out!

I bought two deals from the same company and unbeknownst to me they had two people calling me to set up appointments. I called to reschedule an appointment and the woman I spoke with told me I hadn't set up an apointment so I did and missed the one I had called to reschedule. I am scatterbrained anyway--hence my need for an organizer--and I didn't figure the whole thing out for some time. By then my deals had expired and the company wouldn't honor them.

They have different people on staff, with different levels of experience. I had Sherry originally, and she was really great. But one day she could not come, so they sent a new person, who was completely unprofessional. She appeared to have no training at all. So I suggested to them that they if they send someone with less experience they charge a different rate... It was like getting 2 different services. Finally after talking to them, I had them re-organize what she did, and had my money refunded, It was a complete waste of time with the 2nd lady that came out. It was difficult.

I called when the clutter became too much. We had been getting around to getting things straightened for a while, and the project were just growing & growing. I would have been embarrased for anyone to see the mess, but the gang here didn't even flinch. They just made the messes go away and the clutter conform to clean and neat. I used them three times last Fall, and I about to call and book more time this Spring.

I thought it was a slightly expensive, but unaware of comptetiors prices. The organizer did great work. The organizer was great, and accomitdating. I was frustrated that they said they would make a trip to Goodwill for me, but did not and bring their own boxes, but did not.

This was a great experience. I purchased a $99 coupon for three hours of expert help. The space was horrible and had been a dumping ground for boxes since I moved to KC six years ago. By the end of the three hours I had a clean, de-cluttered and organized garage. The woman who helped had a system that made the garage come together in three hours. She even took away items for donation. I used to be so embarrassed every time I opened the garage door to exit or enter it. Now, I don't rush to close the garage door!
Description of Work: My garage was in really bad shape. The third-car area was used as haphazard storage. Empty and full boxes were all over and in no particular order. Just the thought of cleaning it up had me running in the opposite direction. So, when only one person showed up to help de-clutter, organize and clean my crazy garage I was certain we wouldn't accomplish anything. I am happy to report that I was wrong! I wish I could remember the name of the woman who showed up that morning. She knows her stuff! And, in three hours we had an organized, de-cluttered and clean garage. I can actually see the floor and walls!

My husband and I had to combine households and had double of just about everything boxed up in the basement after a couple of years. Right after I purchased the deal, I got email from the company thanking me for my purchase and asking for some potential dates. I wrote back with some questions about how the service would work (would I need to be at home, etc.) I never got a reply to that email. I do check my junk email regularly, since it was a new contact. I was busy so I didn't pursue right then. In September, I was ready to schedule the service. I called and left a message on a voice mail. I never got a call back I called again in early October trying to schedule it, worried because the time was running out. This time, the phone number didn't work. I was using the contact information in the original email and the contact phone numbers on this site for the company. I tried emailing the new company and the email bounced. I gave up because I don't have time to hunt them down and pester them to do a job they advertised. I think it's terribly unprofessional of them to sell these deals and have contact information for the buyers and not tell the buyers they changed their name. And to have incorrect phone numbers on the Angie's site is poor professional contact. My guess is they got more business than they expected from the deal, but the amount they were charging wasn't enough money to cover the work, so they dissolved the company and restarted. Maybe they intended to honor the previously sold deal, maybe they didn't. I'm an understanding person, but I get really angry when I act in good faith, but a company does not respond in kind. This was a $200 lesson I will not have to learn again.
Description of Work: I purchased this as an Angie's Deal for $199 at the end of June. I knew there was an expiration date at that time (10/31/12), and it was my intent to have this work done sometime late summer. When I bought the deal, the company was named "the organization people." I did not have the work done (yet) because the deal is expired. I didn't have the work done because I could not contact the company, even though I found out the company had changed names.

This review comes as a shock to us. We have no record of your attempts to schedule this work, but we do have record that we attempted to schedule this back in March, but you put it off, and not it is expired. You stated: "My guess is they got more business than they expected from the deal, but the amount they were charging wasn't enough money to cover the work, so they dissolved the company and restarted." This is untrue. We have ran several of these campaigns, they have always been profitable, and we did NOT change our company's name to avoid completing work. Our phone numbers and contact information has NOT changed and will NOT change. One of our owners sold out and with that the business name changed, but that is all. Nothing was ever dissolved or bankrupted or anything else close to what you are accusing. These deals are sold with an expiration date because we can only have a certain amount of "lower priced" work on our schedule at any one time, and we rely on the expiration dates to be able to run new marketing campaigns without too much overlap in discounted sales. You purchased your deal in March and it is now December, that's 9 months to get this scheduled and it has been expired for several months. Why is this the first time we hear about your frustrations? If we are so hard to get a hold of, you just proved you could easily contact us via Angieslist, thus something is amiss in your complaint. My guess is that you forgot to schedule this until it was too late and now you are venting that frustration here. Purchasing a service is different than purchasing a product. Services have to be scheduled within a reasonable time, and a 6 month expired purchase with the excuse that we have been unreachable for 9 months is simply untrue. You can see our reviews and sales on Angieslist have been continuing uninterrupted all that time and our contact information has remained unchanged for years. The kind of business tactics you are accusing us of are unethical and untrue. Our team works extremely hard to meet our clients needs, and we are very proud of them.

I have a two car garage and had been planning on going through doing a clean out for over a year and just hadn't found the time. In came these two wonderful ladies and my garage is a much prettier and organized place. Description of Work: This is the second time I have used Ann Graves and her company We Organize. I believe Ann is a pioneer in a facet of our lives that is somewhat unique to the American way of life. The acquisition of material item, that over a period of years becomes, chose your word from among stuff, gifts, upgraded computers, tv's, and other electronics, clothing, etc. Most Americans have a huge amount of living space compared to the rest of the world. That and our financial ability to acquire things, we end up over time with a tremendous amount of stuff. Then there comes the awakening, that at some point in our life, it is time to downsize. From 3 or more bedrooms with a basement and garage full of all your things. That was the first time I worked with Ann, last November when I needed to make the first cut, as I was selling my home of 25 years. It took most of 2 days but we did it and sold the house. Next time I needed help was fitting what was left into a 1,000 square foot condo. So again I called Ann and over a couple of days, I now have a nicely decorated new home with a mix of old and new items that include some of the items that have special meaning and have made it through 2 different attempts to organize my life's collection to this point. It is an interesting process and absolutely unique to each of us. At this point in this my life I appreciate the few items I have now. With Ann's help, I hope to adopt more of her methods, to my madness as, I go forward. Ann has helped me face the music and decide those things I want in my life. The rest needs to be given away, recycled in some manner or eventually thrown away.

I schedule the work to be done before my daughters wedding. Soon before the appointment the owner called me and explained that an emergency or something came up with her kids and she wouldn't be able to make the appointment. We were not able to schedule the appointment before my daughter got married and I didn't need the service at all after that so I am requesting a refund from Angie's List. She was very apologetic. I understand that things happen and don't harbor any ill feelings toward her or her company.

This was a big job completed by two employees in multiple 3- or 4-hour sessions over the course of several weeks. They started working the moment they arrived. I didn't have to do anything except answer questions! They were fast, efficient, and kind. These people know what they're doing. At the risk of being too personal, I want to give a little background on the project because some of you may relate. I knew I needed help, but had been hesitant to hire anyone because I was so ashamed of the state of my house, I hadn't let anybody see it, even friends and family, for years. After I made the appointment I got very nervous and felt like I should "prepare" my house--get started on organizing things, or try to get it cleaned up on my own at least a little bit, just so it wouldn't look so bad. But I was just too overwhelmed. As it turned out, that wasn't necessary anyway, because they handled everything. They are very understanding, warm and personable, which totally put me at ease, so I didn't have to worry and could just enjoy the excitement of the transformation that was happening in my home. That's one of the things I appreciated most--realizing they were truly there to help me, and I wasn't being judged. It sounds corny, but having them work with you feels like having a couple of friends over to help you out. Makes a very daunting job a lot easier, especially if it's a job that is emotionally stressful for you. In fact, a huge burden has been eliminated from my life since hiring them. After the way I had been living, having a clean, tidy, organized home is life-changing. I am so happy about the decision to do this. I now have them come in twice a month to do general housecleaning, which they're also great at. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Note: The price on this review form was a BuyNow deal for two people to come over and work for three hours, which was the first of multiple sessions I hired them for because it was a big project. The descriptions of services performed and how it went overall reflect the whole span of the project. Here's what they did: Organized, tidied up, and cleaned an EXTREMELY cluttered and dirty house whose housekeeping had been neglected for 10+ years. Went through boxes and stacks of stuff that was piled up in every room, and helped me decide what to discard, keep, and donate. Helped me decide where items to be kept should be organized and stored or put away. Put items to be donated into bags and bins and took them to the thrift store for me. Put items to be discarded in trash bags and moved to porch for me. Organized the items I decided to keep into groups by room, moved them to the designated room, and put them away for me. Swept, dusted and mopped. Cleaned up some extremely dirty areas that needed extra attention, including part of the floor where I didn't realize a cat had urinated because there was a litterbox nearby that I assumed the odor was coming from. Assembled a yard tool caddy for me. Worked with junk removal service to get me a discount, and worked with the junk removal guys to load more than two full truckloads of trash and recyclables into the trucks. This part included a basement full of old clothing and cartons of stuff, much of which was saturated with water that had seeped into the basement. (Some of it was so bad, they had to use shovels to remove it.) Swept basement and cleared out LOTS of cobwebs. Although I told them I didn't need to keep anything in the basement, they salvaged some old forgotten photos they saw, which I really appreciated. Cleaned an extremely disgusting refrigerator. Cleaned oven. Washed dishes. Cleaned kitchen and bathroom. Washed windows.

The work was exceptional! The haul away didn't happen! The girls put everything out in the driveway that I didn't want and promised someone would come to pick it up but no one ever came. I called and left a message the same day and never ever heard from anyone. So I hauled everything back in garage and called Kcmo to pick up 2 months later.

We can also help you stage your home.
Moving boxes and furniture to and from a home or storage such as a moving company with a truck would do. We are not equipped for this.
Bulk Garbage Removal is something we are not equipped to do however, we can have a dumpster ordered or help you schedule a bulk pick up from your local agency.
