Description of Work: Tom came to the house and transferred data from an old computer to a new one. Then a month later when we had trouble accessing some data Tom spent an hour helping troubleshoot the issue for no extra charge. Tom was wonderful and professional. I would absolutely use him again for any computer issues

Description of Work: I was having trouble with my computer. When I would click on an icon to open the file, it would take over 10 to 15 minutes to open or would not open at all. Tom came to the house and spent 2 hours checking for viruses, etc. After not being able to locate the problem, he took the computer to his home to work on it. It ended up that the hard drive was corrupt and he needed to put in a new hard drive. It took a couple weeks, but he kept me up to date on what he was checking for and what he was doing and the progress being made the whole time. He was courteous, professional, and very pleasant to talk with. I would definitely recommend him and will use him again.

Description of Work: Tom corrected the problem in less than 30 minutes. It was a connection between the computer and the speakers. We were sent a video of our grandson playing the piano. The sound was good after Tom did the repair. Also the picture was upside-down, but Tom could not adjust that. He thought that it could have been the fault of the person taking the movie. After checking with our son, who had used his iPhone, that was the case. An email from our son was forwarded to Tom, who had asked us to let him know. We thanked Tom again for his help, and he responded with "Glad I could be of help."

Description of Work: Had "ransom" virus and could not fix, but apparently nobody can fix it. However, had just downloaded international travel picks from camera to computer and those photos were locked up by virus. Tom was able to retrieve those photos from "clean" camera memory.

Tom is very accommodating, and he can either come to my house or take my computer to the shop depending upon what's convenient for me. In addition, he's very knowledgeable and does good work for very fair prices. I would, and I do, recommend him to others.

+ -1 moreHe comes to our house and looks at the computers, and then he takes them home and brings them back. So it’s very convenient for us. He’s just really easy to work with and very knowledgeable. He did end up giving us half off for one of the computer tune up; it was actually a $100 each.

I was referred to Rescue My Gadget by another small business owner when my hard drive had crashed and no files were restored by the manufacturer. Tom Danisi returned my call within 2 hours and arranged an appointment for the following day. He said if he could not restore any files, he wouldn't charge me anything! I had already paid an extreme sum to the manufacturer to TRY to restore files, which was not successful. Tom was able to recover almost all files, despite my computer manufacturer's inability to do. He also repaired some other recurring problems that had been more of an irritant than anything else. From that day,Tom at Rescue My Gadget has been my technology expert - working on my iPhone, my Kindle Fire, my laptop, my scanner, and my husband's pc. He is responsive, knowledgeable, fair, and professional!
Description of Work: Tom Danisi with Rescue My Gadget has become my IT expert of choice. He recovered my hard drive data after Dell couldn't do so even with a $1500 payment. He also repaired my husband's computer after another company could not find the problem.
