Overland Park Choppers Landscape and Design

The deal listed $99 for 4 hours of Fall Landscape, but we ended up paying $300 to cut the lawn, verticut and apply seed. Our lawn needed some help as there were dead patches all over from the heat of the summer. When we talked with someone at Overland Park Chopper we told them about our issue and they suggested we do the verticut and overseeding that would help with the grass growing when spring came around. Hence why the price went up from the $99 promotion. We followed their insturctions regarding watering, etc.....Well, spring came around and all that sprung were weeds....and no grass. Needless to say we are having to do some yard work to get our lawn back. The use of Overland Park Chopper was a total waste of my money and I will not use them again.

Overland Park Choppers Landscape and Design was good. I thought it was worth the money and they came when they said and they did a good job. I would recommend them. The price was good but I wouldn't pay much more than that for what they did either.

Overland Park Choppers Landscape and Design were very nice, they did what they said they were going to do, they came and went, and it was a very good experience. They were quite independent and trustworthy in their operation. They just came in and did the stuff. Overland Park Choppers Landscape and Design figured out what needed to be done and took care of it.

Originally I purchased this service with the idea of late-fall, pre-winter yard cleanup and a consultation on landscaping solutions for the space around my front hedges. Then the holiday season came and went without hearing from them. After the new year, I followed up with them and finally got a date scheduled. By then I had decided to hold off on the landscaping part, but I went ahead and had them do the yard cleanup and hedge trimming; it wasn't really four hours of work, but the price was fair. They did a good job on that work. During the walk-around before they started, I asked the main guy about their deck-repair service. I showed him what I needed done re: my deck and asked him to send me a quote later. I never heard back. The upshot is that I believe these folks are good at the work they do, but they're not the best on responsiveness or follow-up.

OP Choppers contacted me promptly to arrange an appointment to do the landscaping. They arrived on schedule. They put down mulch in the flower beds. They put in a new border. They planted a bush. The flower beds looked nicely and neatly landscaped when they were finished.

Pretty good. I have a large yard and they arrived late. They had to work into the evening and it got dark. They stayed until they finished and did a good job. They haven't been very responsive since though. Last winter they said they would plow my driveway and by the thrid day I still hadn't been plowed out. They never came. This week I asked for a bid on some bush trimming and lawn maintenance and I haven't gotten it yet, four days later. I don't think they need the work that bad.

They try to came out, didn't do what we asked them to do. We had a plant that was dead and we just had stuff that we wanted done and it didn't get done so I called the owner, he was super nice, came back out and he did do all the work that we requested. So, at first I would say it wasn't that great but then the owner came out, took care all of it and we're happy. The owner was really nice.

It went very well, I would use them again.

They were at my house less than an hour right before dusk (4:14-left before 5:20). Completely missed my front flowerbed and left the others with leftover stems in the beds. I will need to finish the clean when spring comes. Tried to call the next day but the cell phone wasn't accepting any incoming calls. Couldn't find a good phone number to reach them.

The flower beds were not all cleaned out, the Rose of Sharon bushes in the back flower garden were not touched nor was the bed. The stones that I requested moved were not all moved, some were tossed over the fence and left in the yard. All in all, not a very professional job. There was not much to do and they seemed very anxious to leave.

They did a terrific job. I think they didn't realized how much work this was going to be. The leaves had never been picked up and they spent a lot of time. I think , they gave me a bit of estimate for some other work later on that I don't recall. They did great in the amount of work they did and how thorough they were. They were very professional.

We were very happy with Overland Park Choppers Landscape and Design. They showed up on time. There was quite a few workers and they got the work done within an hour. They did everything that I asked them to do.

I was very disappointed in the service and the customer service from this company. I called the owner and we discussed a yard clean up of leaves from my front and side yard, if time allowed, according to the $144 deal. I arrived home to find that my beds of ivy had all been mowed over as well as a shredded soaker hose and no remains of a small rose bush that once lived next to my parking pad. In addition, about two inches of leaf mulch around a tree and at the street- presumably the left overs of all of my leaves. As I walked around I notices thick tred from the large mower the person must've been riding to decimate my beds of ivy. If such a large piece of machinery was used for this work, I doubt that the full 4 hours I paid for were devoted to cleaning up my yard. I called the owner in tears - he said that, "they" know not to mow beds at all and he would talk with "them" -- clearly he did not work at my house that day. He apologized and said he would be over to my house the next day to meet me. He never showed or called. My husband left a message on the company site to express his disappointment and expectation that Overland Park Choppers should make this right. No response. Two and a half weeks later my check for $144 was cashed. My mistake was in not stopping payment. This is no way to do business and I will discourage folks I know from using this company.

We bought Overland Park Chopper's 2012 Fall $99 special for four hours of yard cleanup work back in September. It took several attempts to successfully get in touch with RJ and his team, though to be fair the communication was lackluster on our side as well as theirs. RJ and his team did eventually get out to home once the weather cooperated in mid-January and they did a very nice job of general yard clean-up - leaves removed, brush cleared, yard mowed, etc. The yard looks great! Seeing the quality of work they did, we're hoping to setup a quarterly clean-up with Overland Park Choppers and have them come beautify our yard regularly!

Very well. Very polite and did a neat job in an appropriate length of time.

Purchasrd Big deal. Communication was good and work was completed in a timely manner.

We were very satisfied with the job done. They let us pick what color and kind of lights we wanted and custom cut them to our roof lines. They came out on time and it was only like a day or two after the owner came out and gave us an estimate. Their price was very reasonable. They also come out and take the lights down for us and store them until next Christmas. Sounded like a great deal to us and they have done a great job. Highly recommended.

I will never do my own yard clean up again. These guys came in and did in about 1 hour what it would have taken me days to do on my own.

The owner of the company showed up with one other worker and they knocked it out. Spent the entire four hours doing exactly what I had asked. They were nice and polite and I would definitely recommend this company!

poor -- I am not absolutely certain of the date -- i bought this as a gift for my daughter. The workers were late and did not call to let her know. When she got a hold of them they made several excuses as to why they were late. When they showed up they mulched the leaves in the front. In the back yard they blew the leaves into the bushes and the fence row. They did not remove any of the debris. Neithe of us would recommend using this company.

I called on Tuesday after purchasing their Big Deal offer for 4 hours of yard work; they were able to schedule the work for Friday and showed up on time and completed the work to my satisfaction. I would use them again for similar work.
