Technician (Jeffrey) was great. We had had service on same humidifier a few weeks prior that required replacement of selenoid(?). Still were not getting appropriate humidity levels. Jeffrey diagnosed a second component was now failing and made sure we got credit for the prior replacement against the purchase of the new unit. Very pleased.
Description of Work: DIagnosed problem with humidifier. Replaced with new unit.

Andrew did a great job. He was professional and knowledgable about boilers. I was confident that he would be able to diagnose and fix the problem, and he did.
Description of Work: Andrew Purdon was the Service Technician. (ticket #193740) We were having trouble with our boiler.......several radiators on the second floor were not providing any heat. Andrew (AJ) diagnosed the problem quickly, answered all of my questions, and thoroughly explained what was causing the problem, and how to fix it.

.J. T. called ahead and gave 20 minutes advance notice of his arrival. He arrived on time, during the scheduled window which we requested when making the original appointment. He was careful to cover his shoes with "booties" to avoid making tracks on our carpeting. He thoroughly checked the performance of the furnace. He first advised that he was turning up the thermostat for proper testing. He reported furnace was working fine and measurements were all within allowable parameters. J.T. was able to quickly replace the humidifier pad which we suspected was needed. The tech last year had advised us that this year the replacement would probably be required. J. T. offered to enter our attic to inspect the flue, but we declined because of the difficulty of access. He did make a helpful suggestion to replace existing, plus add an additional, carbon monoxide detector. Our current detector is well past the useful life as described by J. T. We appreciated the comprehensive and friendly evaluation of our furnace and issues related to its operation.
Description of Work: Technician J. T., #193155, performed annual furnace inspection and replaced humidifier pad. The $250 cost included renewal of annual service contract for furnace and air conditioner, plus the humidifier pad.

Technician was prompt and very helpful. He even shoveled snow off the sidewalk. Very nice and had several good ideas to improve furnace efficiency. We use them at a rental property and our primary residence.
Description of Work: Technician performed furnace inspection. He looked at duct work, flue, and overall furnace operation. Also inspected attic vent.

We pay a monthly fee for the contract and that covers their twice annual visit. What I like about them is that they do a good job. If we need something done, they let us know and then they provide us with the cost upfront and also they are contracted with Angie’s List, they do great. What I don’t like about their service is that they don’t have a file of all so I am the one that has to call them to remind them to come out here. I talked about to them several times about that hoping that they would somehow when it comes time for them to come out, they would call and arrange for an appointment.
Description of Work: We have a regular contract with Neal Harris Service Experts to do our semiannual look at our air conditioning and heating. They come every 6 months.

We are using them for the last 10 years. They had to replace an air conditioner for us at our old house and we have used them for the maintenance ever since. They are extremely punctual, they’re really good at what they do, and they are not pushy.

Contacted the company to schedule my routine maintenance and asked that in addition to the maintenance I would like a humidifier installed. When the technician arrived he did not have all the necessary supplies because the scheduler told him that I needed my humidifier replaced. He assumed that the unit had gone bad, not that he needed to run the bypass duct work. He apologized profusely and performed the maintenance. I contacted the company and rescheduled. This time he came prepared and had the job completed in 2 hours (his original estimate was 3 hours). This was not the technician's fault. There was miscommunication from the scheduler to the technician. I have used this company for about 10 years and have always been very happy with their services.

allowed the wheel to wobble and hit against the housing. He tightened the nut, readjusted the wheel, and the unit has run smoothly ever since. I endured 3 days of below freezing weather for no reason. Either the technician from Neal Harris was extremely incompetent, or extremely dishonest, or both. I will never use Neal Harris again for ANY service. January 12, 2015: In response to the comment posted from Neal Harris customer service to contact their specialist to resolve this issue, after numerous attempts to call the customer service department, I was unable to contact anyone. A recording is all you hear, and after leaving my name and number, no one returned my call. It's easy to say it will be resolved if you contact a "customer service specialist", but not so easy to resolve if they don't answer their phone or return your calls. To date, I still haven't received my refund as the company promised. Buyer Beware!!
Description of Work: Tech came out for a service call because my furnace was making horrible noises. He inspected the unit, informed me that a new blower motor would need to be ordered and installed at the cost of approximately $800.00, and that it would take a couple of days to receive. I paid a service call fee and he also sold me a service warranty to "help reduce costs in the future" totaling $243. After 3 days of no heat during very cold weather, I called another company. They came out within the hour, inspected the unit, and told me the only problem was a loose nut that

They came out and did the job. They didn't destroy anything. They did a good job. They were on time. They made sure they were getting the right line before they started the procedure. He was dressed appropriately. He cleaned everything up when he was done. He did an overall good job.

We’ve been using them for several years. I paid for a couple of years. During the winter, they check the whole furnace and during the spring, they check the air conditioner. They come twice a year and they change the filter and make sure that everything is working properly. Since we have a contract and if you desperately need them, they would come. They came once. It was 3 o’clock in the morning. They wouldn’t have come if we didn’t have a service contract. The furnace went out in the evening and we called. We didn’t expect them to show up until the next working day. They came in the middle of the night. They asked if wanted it repaired. We said yes and there’s no fee but we ended up buying a new one. They took off some of the repaired parts. If you want people to come at anytime, you have to have a contract.
Description of Work: We used Neal Harris Service Experts for working on our furnace. We have them for semi-annual inspection. We bought a new furnace from them too.

It went pretty well. They're pretty thorough and they're very polite. Most of the time, they go out of their way to make sure everything is done correctly. They're very good.

Pete Weaver was the technician, he arrived on time, was considerate of our 2 year old sleeping granddaughter; worked efficiently and quickly. He kept me informed of what he was doing and made suggestions regarding safety of the equipment (e.g. surge protector, CO detector). He cleaned what needed to be cleaned and even rolled up the hose he used. Overall, very good and friendly worker.

Everything checked out and he pointed out some things to consider in the future. He was prompt and explained everything he would be doing and was very pleasant.
Description of Work: Came for AC check up. We discussed the benefit of maintenance program and that was my decision. So the visit cost more than I expected, but it also includes the fall furnace check up as well.

Pete W. actually was 10 minutes early. Not a problem for me, but I understood that someone would call when the technician was on his way. I was at work when the call came from Pete, so he had to wait on me. Pete was cordial, informative, professional and task oriented. My A/C was up and running fine within 45 minutes.

I came home from work last week and my house was extremely hot. I called Neal Harris and they came out that night. The serviceman was Paul and he was able to diagnose my problem quickly. He had to replace something with the electrical system that had fried out and put in some Freon. He was in and out and we were cooling in less than an hour. Thank You Paul. I would definitely recommend using this company and their great service department.

I was given the option to repair or replace. I was fully informed about both options. I trusted the Service Technician and his quality of work. When the advisor came after my tech they were both on the same page and he wasn't pushy either. I was again given options and my input was addressed and confirmed.
Description of Work: He asked me questions about what I wanted and needed. He didn't try to tell me what I should do or what I had to do. He gave me written and verbal choices. He did what I wanted him to do.

Jeffrey was very knowlagable, fast, and friendly. It went well he gave this customer very good service
Description of Work: Did yearly service check, and Sevice Technician Jeffrey Ludvicek also re-applied putty around outside lines that go into the house. The previous putty had dried up and came apart/off
