I knew roughly what I wanted, and Kate helped me figure out the right fence for me. The ground is uneven and rocky, so the crew had a tough job ahead of them. The crew was super polite and professional. The finished product is perfect.

This is the third time I have contacted Kate and the Fence Repair Co. As expected, they have provided timely and quality service. I got an estimate for two jobs, one of which I have proceeded with. I needed a larger gate opening since the wider gate that I currently use will be compromised by a street widening project. They had to custom order the painted gates, remove the current gates, remove a post and position it so that the new opening would be wider. They then had to reattach the fencing and hang the new gates. All with a minimum of muss and fuss. The opening is what I needed and it looks great and works great. Thanks to Kate and her crew.

After receiving a total of three bids, I decided to go with the Fence Repair Company. My neighbor and I agreeded to replace the common fence between our yards. Plus, we wanted to replace parts of our own fence. Based on a suggestion of one of the companies, we opted to keep the original fence posts to lower the cost and to reduce the installation time. Keeping the posts, saved us not only money but also about six weeks of wait time. There was one minor hiccup- when I got home from work the gate was smaller than what was agreed on. I explained to the installer I wanted a 5ft gate and I immediately called Kate who told me the problem would be fixed. Since it was at the end of the day, they asked if they could return later to replace the gate and I agreed. They returned about a week later and replaced the gate. The fence looks fantastic.

Wouldn't recommend this company for giving us the run-around.

They were professional and responsive before, during and after the job. We had a very challenging situation with buried utilities littered right along our property line. They did a great job working through it with us. I was very pleased with the quality of the materials, the build and especially the quality on the gates. I would highly recommend this company to others, and already have!

The company was very responsive from the initial estimate to the completetion of the job. The crew was professional and we are very pleased with the quality of the work.

Overall I am very happy with the company. The quality of work is great, my new fence is strong beautiful and the gate works so much better than the old one. Kate handled coordinating everything to include the utility locating company. The workers that came to my house were VERY friendly, easy to talk to, easy to work with, and cleaned up after themselves very well. the soil dug up for the new posts were placed in areas of the yard that wouldnt cause damage to grass or plants, which I really appreciated. In the beginning of the work there was a mis-communication issue in which both myself and the company were at fault for. However, the issue was resolved in one day, an agreement reached that both parties were happy with, and we had no other issues. Kate kept me updated of when people would be at my house and what to expect.

No complaints. They did an excellent job and the price was exceptional - 70% less than other bids received.

Kate and her crew did a good job. They were delayed a couple of weeks from the original schedule when an employee quit, but once they got started they quickly accomplished the project, and addressed my concerns promptly.

Kate, who is the owner of the company, came and gave me an estimate. She gave me several options, as I was new at this and didn't really know what I wanted. They were all very reasonable, so I hired them to do the job. They were several weeks out, but she kept in touch with me so that I knew that I was still on their list. The crew that came did a great job, did not leave any mess behind, completed the entire job in two days and checked with me to make sure that the fence was low enough so that my two little dogs couldn't get out. They had accidentally cut a cable line that went to my neighbors house, they promptly notified my neighbor and made arrangements to get it all taken care of. After the crew left, Kate called to make sure that I was happy with the job, which I was. Overall, I was very impressed with the professionalism and felt they did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for a fence repair or replacement.

Fence Repair Company responded quickly to my original email in May, asking them to take a look at repairing a very loose fence post (we were concerned that our giant puppy was going to knock the fence down). Within a couple of days, a guy came out to assess the situation and provide a quote. The price seemed reasonable, but we were told that it would be a couple of months before they could perform the work. However, the guy took some spare wood that we had lying around, and created a temporary brace to hold the post firmly in place until the permanent fix was completed. He did this at no charge, and the brace worked out great. I received a call a couple of months later, the day before they were able to replace the post. I did not need to be home for the work to be performed, and it was done when I got home from work. The post they created matched the other posts perfectly. They left no mess at all. While we only replaced the one post, we were quoted a significantly lower price per post, had we decided to replace more than the one, at the same time. I would not hesitate to call Fence Repair Company in the future.

The service was done exactly as I specified. They had to special order the wood for my fence as the new material was thinner and unacceptable as it didn't match the old material.

I met Kate to provide me with an estimate to install a steel fence. I met her to explain what I wanted and the area to enclose. I went inside to make a call when I came back out she was gone. I expected to receive an estimate within a couple of days. I was doing my research so I had already had a couple of other estimates. I was excited about the Fence Repair company because it had the best rating on Angie's list. I didn't realize then how disappointed I would be. After waiting 4 business days, I sent an email requesting the status of the estimate. No response. The next day I called, I was told Kate would not be until the afternoon. and no else could provide me with anything. I expressed that I was eager to get this final estimate because I wanted to make a decision and schedule installation. I ended up getting an email that afternoon from Kate stating due to underground rock and a drainage issue they would not be able to install the fence. She went on to explain these issues were discovered during her visit. If she found these issues during the visit, why didn't she tell me that day? Kate's response was that I went inside the house so she just left. Really????!!!!! Why didn't she knock? Why didn't she call? Why didn't she email me right away??!!!!! Her response she had to consult with her workers. About something she already knew was an issue? For 5 days and only after I contacted her office? Excuse after excuse. I don't get it. I have to sum it up to one reason. Very poor customer service. If the initial service is this bad, I would hate to see what the service would be like during and after installation. Don't go there, ever.

Kate is excellent to work with, She is very responsive and provides excellent customer service. The price for the work done was very reasonable. The guys that did the work were great. Friendly, responsive, very quick and they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend this company to anyone. It was a great experience overall.

From the first phone call to the completion of the work, I was very impressed with Kate and the Fence Repair team. They were responsive, professional and did great work. Their bid was very fair and Kate was so easy to work with on a few quirky things we wanted done in the project. She also made sure we were going to be satisfied with the materials by sending some photos of the rails to ensure the color and look were what we wanted. We love our fence and highly recommend this company!

Jeff with this company was wonderful to work with. Our situation presented a couple of unique challenges, but Jeff hung in there, making suggestions and checking with the ever-changing instructions of the Kansas City code department on what exactly we could do. He also came out and walked the completed job site with me twice just to check to see if all was done well. I checked "NA" on the box for price, because I couldn't get other companies to call me back for an estimate.

While taking measurements, Kate failed to notice three very large trees that are obviously in the fence line and did not comment on them at all. I quickly responded to her estimate email with questions about how she would deal with going around the trees and she promised to come out a few days later to take a second look at them. It has been over two weeks and I've not heard back from her at all. Also, they require a materials deposit of $3600 for a $5500 job before work even begins. I will not use this company for my fence project.

I called for an estimate and got someone on the phone the first call. They came out to my house within two days and was very professional. The estimate was emailed to me two days later as promised. While I did not go with thier company (lower bid offered by another company) they were professional, on time and would not have any issue calling them again for service.

Kate Perkins was very responsive in providing an estimate and in scheduling my project. Excellent service. Randy and his crew arrived exactly as scheduled and proceeded to complete all work in two days on as 250 foot 6' privacy fence. All work was done professionally with an eye for all of the "little" issues that separate a good job from an excellent job. Cleanup was performed as work progressed and again at job completion. I am well satisfied with all aspects of the work I received from Fence Repair Co. and would recommend their service to anyone.

They were very nice and organized and had a good crew. The workmanship was A+. Except..aesthetically, a fence should follow the landscape and it's hills and valleys, as i requested, but the crew's idea of that was as follows. In this case, the posts are fine since they naturally must follow the landscape. However, the pickets were installed from post to post by keeping the level on top, therefore leaving gaps of several inches where the valleys are and pickets entrenched in dirt where the hills are. The pickets should have been installed by following the ground. It now has an ungraceful, chopped look instead of an undulating look. I'm sure I'm the only one who notices, but it does annoy my aesthetic sense. Every day! Other than that it looks great except for a couple of places where there are three pickets in a row with knots in the same position on all three...a fencing no no.

Kate was extremely professional from the first phone call. She immediately told me that due to recent storms in our area that they were several weeks out on scheduling larger jobs. We were looking to replace the fence late summer, so this worked out perfectly for us. Kate was able to quickly schedule a time to come out and look at the fence. We are moving one side of the fence and replacing the other side - not your typical fence replacement. She was very willing to work with us on placement of the new fence and re-using materials. The bid came in right around what we were hoping to pay, so we have scheduled the job for early August. Based on our experience so far, I'm sure that the final product will be great!

I found Fence Repair on Angie's list and they had good reviews, so I gave them a call to get an estimate. The guy I spoke with scheduled a free estimate for me; he gave me a time window of 10:30-11:30. I missed about 10 min in that window (I was in between two houses as we had recently closed), but was around the rest of that time frame so that I could meet with them.. Since I was gone for a bit, I called to make sure I didn't miss them, and found out that they hadn't even come. Apparently, my appointment had gotten misplaced. They needed me to give them my address again and said they sent someone later that day. They did apologize, but I decided not to use them. On a positive note, I had a friend who used them and they did her fence in a day! Not many fencing companies that do that. I was just disappointed that I got lost in the shuffle. People make mistakes, so this may be a one-off, but I decided to use another company.

Kate was great and very professional. One thing I'm not totally pleased with (but not sure how it could have been avoided) is that the workers left too wide a gap in between the fence and the gate. They said it was because a tree root was in the way and they could not plant the support closer, but my old fence did not have the gap there, so I'm not sure what the difference was. It's not so wide that my dog can get through, but I still would have liked the gate to be more flush with the fence. The other thing that happened was the outside water faucet broke off when the workers were using it, and I had to hire a handyman to come out late at night and repair it. It would have been nice if they had offered to pay for the repair, or at least help me pay for it. Even if I decided not to accept any payment, it would have been good public relations to have made the offer.

On time, went over every detail and what was to be fixed, worked quickly and the repairs are perfect.
