Description of Work: This service provider was my second call to an Angie's List provider for this particular refrigerator problem. My first call was to Able Appliance. They were responsive but the technician indicated that my compressor was bad. They told me they didn't do compressor work typically, so it didn't seem as if they were trying to sell me something they didn't need, but they definitely didn't diagnose what appears to be a very simple issue properly. When I described the problem to Everyday, they said there was no way my compressor was bad because my refrigerator was partially cooling. They came in, showed me the uneven frost pattern on the coils and then pumped in some coolant. Done quickly and it works great now. And $500 less than a new compressor. I was very happy.

Description of Work: Our refrigerator (and freezer) were warming to room temperature so I contacted Everyday Appliance to come fix it. Much to our surprise, when the appliance man checked the freezer dial, it had inadvertantly been shut off. He said that that happens a lot. He turned it on and the refrigerator and freezer began cooling. Since we had a spare refrigerator water filter we had him change it for us. He was very friendly and professional. Our charge was just for the service call.

Description of Work: When my electric dryer stopped working I called this company because of their good Angie's List reviews. Because my dryer is over 15 years old I expected to be told I would need a new one but turned out it was a minor problem and it's up and running again. While David was here I asked him if he could look at my ice maker. He did and fixed it (said it was jammed) for an additional $77. However, the fix didn't work and he came back a few days later and said the unit had been off too long and wasn't cycling and I would need to replace it. I opted not to replace it and they refunded the $77 I had paid for the repair. Totally satisfied with this company and will use them again in the future (hopefully not soon :)

Description of Work: Removed clogged gasket from back of fridge (which had been causing the bottom freezer to leak). I was very happy with the service. The price seemed reasonable, but it was only for a 45 minute job, so I had been expecting much worse!

Description of Work: I called Everyday Appliance about my 10 yr old dishwasher. After discussing the problem, I was advised not to repair. I was told the repair would be at least $300 which is more than 1/2 the price of a new dishwasher. I really appreciate the honesty and professionalism displayed by Everyday Appliance. I was told they would come out if I desired, but she hated to have me waste the price of the service call.

Description of Work: My less-than-four-year-old Samsung dryer caught fire. They sent out a tech the very day I called. He ordered a part and put it on and then realized the inside was fried worse than originally thought. He ordered another part which turned out to be not correct. After much research he found out the piece we needed was actually part of the dryer body. This technician went above and beyond (he even offered to put out an APB for another dryer this model being salvaged so we could get the piece!) When I finally faced the fact this appliance was not worth any more time or money, the company promptly refunded my entire amount. They were out for the part they had placed in my machine and didn't charge me a dime. A class act and I will definitely call them when I do have a job that is humanly possible. :-)

Description of Work: The lower heating element of my oven stopped working. The gentleman that came to look at it explain everything necessary to repair the oven and the cost in advance. He was professional and the oven has worked well since that time.
