The tech who works at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable, and was willing to discuss options and costs up front. The computer was repaired by the next day and they called me to say it was ready and discuss the repair and cost. My computer was out of my hands less than 24 hours. I was really impressed with this company's promptness, helpfulness and professionalism.

Easy parking, short wait for assistance and all without an appointment.The owner/tech onsite listened to my issue and diagnosed the problem. I was expecting to leave my PC (which I didn't want to do) and wait days for results. It took him 10 minutes and I didn't need to leave my pc. Perfect!

I believe I got this company off of Angies List and the reviews had to be good. I called and got the price for hard drive cleaning, very punctual. I waited about 2 days before he could come out. He did a very thorough job and I sat and watched him. I asked him many questions and he answered very politely and in terms I could understand. It took about an hour and had said that if this did not work, call and they would come back out. The person that answered the phone was polite and scheduled me as soon as they could and when I could be home. I am very pleased and would hire them again, and the computer is going great!

My 6-7 yr old computer was running really slow, especially when in Facebook and I was getting "Excessive memory usage" pop-ups. Not only was the tech prompt, they called to ask if they could come earier than the appointed time cuz the tech was running ahead - YAY! He was very helpful answering all my questions in an easy-to-understand way, very personable and had the computer running beautifully after about 1 1/2 hours. He didn't leave until he'd made sure I'd personally tried everything out and was satisfied. Only charged me for one hour though - sweet! I would recommend Computer Medics to anyone, especially those who are 'puter illiterate like me :)

Everything went well. They were very knowledgeable and completed the work quickly for a reasonable price. Additionally, they can work on PCs as well as Macs which is really convenient.

My daughter's laptop would not boot up, it could not recognize the hard drive. I took it to Computer Medics. There was no wait; the owner listened to my explanation, and used his equipment to see if he could get the hard drive to work. He could not; the disk would not work at all. He gave me an estimate to replace the hard drive but recommended that I buy a new one because the cost of fixing it was almost the same as a new one. He refused to accept payment for the diagnosis - his company policy. He was very pleasant, very attentive, and gave me the info I needed to make a decision about the computer. I will definitely go to him the next time I need service on computer equipment.

Though they were not able to recover my failed hard drive utilizing various procedures, they always kept me updated throughout every step of the process. They also did an excellent job of explaining why the data could not be recovered. Though I'm not a novice at computers, I'm certainly not an expert. They explained things to me in a way that I could understand and without making me feel like an idiot at the same time :) With every step of the process, they always kept me abreast of the best and worst case scenarios, and what each would cost. They were very friendly, professional, accommodating, and empathetic. Despite all of the time invested in my case, they only charged me for the time they actually had their hands on my computers. I expected to pay so much more! I didn't expect such honest service. I will not hesitate to bring any and all of my computer needs to Computer Medics of Kansas City!

It took two trips. During first trip, it appeared that problem had been resolved and requested changes completed. Soon it was discovered that part of the original problem was still there and another situation needed correcting. I place part of need for the second trip on myself as there may have been a miscommunication in what I tried to explain about our concerns and needs versus how the technician understood during the first visit. Needless to say Computer Medic came through with flying colors and did not charge for the second trip. Definitely will use again as the need arises.

My husband was surprised that the guy from Computer Medics of Kansas City was quick about getting the diagnosis on our laptop and how easy it was to get our information transferred to our new laptop. He was just impressed with them. They gentleman was just easy to deal with.

They set up my 80-year-old dad's computer after his move. They placed wires so he wouldn't trip on them, set up e-mail so he could see it with low vision, and explained it slowly and patiently. They were very responsive. Thanks!

They came to the house as promised and seemed to know what they were doing. They put their time and were professional. Although they weren't the cheapest place in the world they fixed my issue. I have had pretty good luck since they fixed it!

AJ did a home visit to assess the computer problem. When it was determined the hard drive had failed, he patiently explained to this "non-computer" person the options for getting a functional computer back, including approximate cost and time needed for each option. After the services were chosen the work was performed at the store and he again came to my home to reconnect all my devices and add a few more software programs. The team was professional and he was punctual with appointment times. His first appointment was within 24 hours of my call. I work odd hours and they were very willing to work with when the time worked for me. Great experience!

It was a far drive for me, but they were friendly and easy to work with and price was reasonable. Computer was fixed in about 2 days.

I ran a lot of tools myself but still wasn't comfortable I'd gotten all the rootkit. Based on Angie's List reviews I took it to Computer Medics. These guys were awesome. Richard listened with interest to my description of the issues including the work I'd already done. They had a lot of experience in removing rootkits and viruses, including the one I had acquired which made me feel good about the situation. They ensured the desktop was clean, found a few small lingering files, and identified the problem with the laptop. I had both machine's back on Monday (dropped them on Saturday) and I thought the pricing was very fair.

I was very impressed. They were priced reasonable and they did what they said they were going to do in a very timely manner. They communicate well with somebody that is not a computer geek. They were nice and friendly and easy to do business with. They were fast and said they would have it done the next day. They charge $100 an hour.
