Description of Work: A.J. set up my new computer at work and moved all programs and data to the new computer. He was very professional and quick. My boss just recently used him to fix a problem with the installation of Microsoft 10 on his computer. We will use them in the future.

Description of Work: My computer was completely frozen--wouldn't even turn on--and I was afraid I had lost everything, despite running a virus protection program. I took it to their shop, where they cleaned out everything attacking it (virus, Trojans, malware, whatever), uninstalled the free anti-virus program I was using, and installed a different anti-virus program. Turn-around was about a day--very quick.

Description of Work: They recovered data from my external hard drive...almost 3 yrs worth of photos of my children. Everyone else quoted me everywhere from $750 - $1530! And it was going to take up to a week. Almost paid that but luckily found Computer Medics at the last moment. They were fantastic!

Description of Work: My laptop needed a new hard drive and everything transferred over from the old one. Some programs were problematic for working again, and Rich was very persistent and patient in helping it get going right - both at the shop and over the phone. It's wonderful to have someone who will patiently explain what's going on to an "untech" person like myself.

Description of Work: Robert and colleagues were extremely helpful in transferring content from one computer to another and on helping me get warranty service on my newer computer. All were very courteous and respectful and did their best to minimize my expense.

Description of Work: I have a brand new monitor and needed help with it. Long story short, A.J. showed up, helped me with my monitor and also scanned my computer for viruses. I had two viruses that he cleaned up. The monitor I purchased is very different from the one I had for the last four years. Very different. A.J. literally taught me how to use it and fixed it so that the print was to my liking and so that the picture fit the screen and continued to tweak it until I was satisfied. A.J. is a young guy, very personal and very patient with me, someone old enough to be his grandmother. He arrived on time, was professional, courteous and patient. Although the price was a little high for the hour, I felt it was well worth it. I will definitely do business again with this company. In fact, I feel I have found a company that I can count on.

Description of Work: Our older computer seemed to 'freeze' and the screen went blank. I called Computer Medics over the weekend and left a message. They called me Monday morning and we arranged for them to come out the next day. After checking into the problem, Robert gave me 2 possible sources of the problem and details on how he could determine which of the two could be the problem. He advised me on how much it would cost to determine the problem and how much it would cost to fix either of the two problems. He also advised me that I could consider purchasing a new computer for not much more than I would spend to fix and restore all the software on the older one. I really appreciated this honesty especially since he would make no money if choose to purchase a new computer rather than fix the old one. I did choose to purchase a new computer. I insisted I pay him something for his time and we agreed to a portion of his hourly rate. I will definitely use his services to retrieve the data off our hard drive and will use his services again if needed.
