I have been with the television company for hours and got disgusted with them and figure out that my time is more important that. I called them and they came right out and fixed it. I paid $168 which was good for and the computer worked.

Outstanding service. After talking to Internet provider until 11 PM Friday night and then again Sat. morning when they threw in the towel, needed weekend svc fast. Geek Squad couldn't do until 5 days later! Computer Medics via Angie's got me with Robert in less than an hour. He worked past closing time to resolve. Robert is professional, courteous, knowlegable and fast. Plus he explains options well in layman's terms. Both laptops and Blackberry are working great now thanks to Robert. I would highly recommend them. Having worked for IBM and other tech companies for many years, this firm deserves its high marks.

Robert came out the next day and tried multiple data recovery options. None of his attempts were successful. He recommend a clean room solution that had a high success rate. It was expensive and it took about 2 weeks but it was worth every penny. The clean room was able to recovery 100% of the data and we learned a valuable lesson with regards to backing up our data.

AJ came out on a Monday, right when they said he would. He worked for about an hour and was unable to verify what the problem was. He asked if he could take the computer to the office and return it when it was fixed. He said it would be about 2 days, Wednesday. The computer was finally ready on Thursday after a reinstall of the Operating System. AJ saved all of our files and music. My only complaint was I had to call to get updates. It would have been nice if they had let me know what they were doing.

I had used them previously. Their customer service and technical capabilities are outstanding. AJ came out and was wonderful and awesome. He is very, very knowledgeable. He knows exactly what to do. I would absolutely use them again.

This was a Saturday in-home service call. AJ McConnell was very punctual, knowledgable and professional. Within the hour, he told me that the problem needed to be further diagnosed in the shop, and he needed to take my pc with him. He told me he would call me to let me know what was wrong and to discuss further repair steps and costs. I heard from him early the following Monday - and I authorized him to make the necessary repairs. After making the repairs, he called me on Tuesday to let me know that my pc was now working properly. We tried to find a time during that week for him to return my pc, but my schedule was the problem. AJ arrived the following Saturday, reconnected my pc, and reinstalled my additional software. He tested it several times before he left to make sure it was working properly. My computer runs very well - it's fast, and I've had no further problems. AJ also offered to take two old computers and printers that I was preparing to discard - he assured me that the hard-drives would be safely and securely disposed, and if still usable, the printers would be donated to a worthy cause. Thank you AJ! Great service and a great company.

We were very impressed with how quickly they got to our computer, almost immediately. They even came to our house to re-install it and make sure everything worked properly. We were also pleased with their rates. They worked more hours on the computer than they charged. First rate service.

My wife's computer is currently in top notch shape. I feel like the price was reasonable for the amount of work that they did. They charged me a little more for not having a certain software disk that they needed to install. I appreciate that they don't charge a trip fee. It's just a flat fee, a certain amount per hour. Since my wife's computer was having the same problem, they didn't charge us for the second visit.

I can't explain what A.J. did to get my computer running but it took about 16 minutes. He told me I still had time left on my hour and asked if I would liked the computer drive cleaned. I did and he cleaned it. There was still remaining time so he organized the rat's nest of cords under my computer desk to finish off the hour. As always, A.J.was very professional and customer service oriented.

The repairman very quickly fixed the problemw ith our PC then also took the time to show us some different tools on our computer. We aren't computer savvy, but he never made us feel inferior. We were pleased with the work.

We had a new Dell laptop that could see our wireless network but wouldn't recognize it for Internet use. I had tried everything so we call and they came out quickly and did the work, giving us extra suggestions in the process. It was great.

Actually, I had hired them a little over a year ago as our computer was completely not working. A.J. came out and fixed it all up and did an excellent job. I thought I had written a report then but guess not, so this will do for both. Can't remember the exact charge of a year ago. Now our security had expired so we had a virus. Our wireless was not working(we have toddlers in the house and I think they had messed with the buttons, etc.). Anyway, they came out, took the computer in and completely wiped it, installed new security and brought it back within 48 hours. We had one little glitch so I called a few days later. They were very anxious to be sure we were happy and came out the very next day and got everything working perfectly. They are an excellent company and have excellent customer service. This is very important to me as we do not know much about computers so have to rely on someone who does. I would definitely recommend them and will have them out again if we have any problems.

I prematurely downloaded IE8 (which is in Beta) two days prior to leaving town for two weeks. Nothing but trouble ensued until my laptop couldn't open my brower at all. I had done two 'restore system' points, but only aggrevated the issue. Computer Medics MADE time in their schedule the day of my departure. Robert called to advise of his arrival time. We discussed the chain of events and he was able to provide me a temp solution so that I could travel and still be functional. We also discussed the options available for complete resolution, the cost and other relavant factors to consider. Robert was knowledgeable, personable, professional and delightful. Could easily trust him with my future computer issues and feel confident about his work.

I have an older computer that runs like new thanks to an earlier experience with this company. I decided to go ahead and have a dual monitor installed and because of the earlier experience, requested A.J. be the technician. He arrived promptly, but because the monitor wouldn't read the card, A.J. ran out and picked up another card. That one worked perfectly. The time ran a little over an hour, but I wasn't charged for the extra hour because of the difficulty with the original card. The cost included the the dual monitor card. Once again, I was very satisfied with this company's service and very glad I didn't try to do the installation myself!

The tech arrived a little early (for which I was grateful) and immediately started trying to get rid of the virus, telling me what he was doing along the way. Unfortunately, it kept replicating itself, so by the time it was eradicated the operating system had been damaged (no access to the Internet, Device Manager was blank, the left pane of the Control Panel was blank). He said it would take 48 to rebuild my system, so he took my computer, rebuilt it, and I had it back two days later. I was very pleased with this company's service. The person answering the phone was very friendly and gave me a call afterwards to see if I had any problems. The technician was very punctual and professional and gave me advice on some software that I was thinking about purchasing. And I'm very happy with my leaner, meaner rebuilt system. It was a very easy and effortless experience overall.

It took roughly 6-7 hours and 2 visits to pinpoint the problem. Robert and his staff diligently pursued the problem until they had an answer. We had other people try to figure the problem out but could not. Robert didn't feel right charging us for all the hours and research, so he discounted the charges substantially. Computer Medics will be my computer tech from now on for home and business.

It was not good. It was $95/hour. Which is very expensive. The man came out and was very young, which I was expecting. My computer was fried because of some problems with the electricity. He went out to try to get a new machine for me. He asked what type of program I wanted. I told him I wanted a vista system. After he left I had some other problems, they called to check up and see how it was going, I told them it was not good, they asked if I wanted him to come out again, then I realized that he was going to charge me again for the service. He did come out again and it took him 45 min to solve one problem then was out here for over 2 hours. I would not call them again. I called them because they had 33 recommendations on Angie's List. I was just unhappy that they didn't adjust the fee.

AJ came and was very thorough in his work. He spent a lot of time answering our questions, too, regarding other computer related needs. The printer was working when he left. When our printer stopped again, he talked with us by phone and came out again. Very professional and patient as he continued to solve our issue. Computer Medics office personnel called after each visit, by phone or in person, to check to see if our problem was solved. We will recommend them to our friends.

The technician came in and assessed the problem. He had to work on both the PC and the Mac to correct the problem. He fixed it in a quick and professional manner. I was very satisfied & would use the company again.

He was easy to get along with. He was very professional about the job. He always showed up on time when he said he would come over and do the work for use.

My computer did not recognize the external hard drive. I found Computer Medics on Angie's list and took the hard drive there. Robert greeted me cheerfully and did a quick check of my drive. He noted that it did not sound right and suspected that it was broken. He then plugged it into his computer and saw that his computer didn't recognize it. Robert clearly explained the options for recovering the data, including the expensive option (average cost $600) of sending it to a "clean room" where the drive would be disassembled and the plates inserted into a different unit. First, though, he would try all his tricks to recover the data. Several hours after I dropped the drive off, Robert called saying that he recovered the data. He then gave me different options for returning the data. I preferred putting it all back on another hard drive. The next day Robert purchased a unit on sale, transferred the recovered data on to it, and then delivered the unit to me at my place of work.

We had been having problems getting a successful security system going on our computer after we switched providers. We thought that we had removed an old system, but it still seemed to be lurking. After attempting to figure this out ourselves several times without success, we decided to call in the pros. We checked Angie's List and decided to call Computer Medics. From the first call, we knew we were dealing with good people. They sent a technician out the very next day and he successfully cleaned our computer of all the old security systems and installed the AVG system. We have a 2 year license on the AVG which cost $69.95 so the actual work done only cost us $118.75. The name of the young man who helped us is A.J. McConnell. He was on time, efficient, helpful, personable, and knowledgeable. We were very pleased with his work and also very grateful. We have had no more problems and are happy with our new security system.
