+ -1 moreHe was on time, he fully explained what kind of carpet we had and some of the potential areas that may not turn out as good as with another type of carpet. He was much more informative about the carpet we had than the actual carpet salesperson. We have had the carpet for 4 years and this is the first time we've had it cleaned. I had or one larger area that I was worried about and he actually worked on it and got it cleaned. He was good at explaining how long before the carpet would be dry and told me to call if we had any issues or questions. He did a great job at a great price and was careful with our furniture. He is the owner and he really takes pride in doing a great job for the customer. I can't think of anything he could do that would have made my experience any better. Please give him a try, you won't be sorry.

+ -1 moreWe comtaacted Jeff about a week prior to the date he did the work. He was prompt in coming to give an estimate. Our job was small so we paid his minimum charge amount. We were prepaing to have the LR, FR and kitchen painted the week of 3-16 so wanted him to come after the painting was done but in time for the carpet to be completely dry before new furniture was delivered. He was prompt for the appointment and did a great job on the carpet. We have a tempermental Daschund - anyone who has one knows they cannot be depended upon to observe the potty rules so there were some spots that we had attempted to clean with Resolve, etc. This had yellowed the carpet and Jeff was honest when he stated he would not be able to completely remove the yellowing. However, it did look much better after he finished. The carpet is far from new but we seldom use the LR so didn't want to recarpet or refinish the hardwood underneath at the present time. Jeff made it look so much better that I think we can postpone pulling it up for another couple of years. I was very pleased with his work and would recommend him.

+ 0 moreWorking with Voorhies Cleaning Systems is a pleasure. Jeff is very careful inside the house, placing corner and floor guards throughout the work area. He has even made me aware of available discount coupons via Angie's List. I am comfortable recommending him to others.
Description of Work: Although the only date I recall was 11/22/2011, Jeff Voorhies has been to our home on at least three occasions to clean the carpet. We had had our carpet cleaned several times before finding Voorhies Cleaning Systems, but had never been really satisfied. One of our two Basset Hounds had chewed through a black Sharpie type pen, then after walking through the puddle of ink decided to proceed up the carpeted stairs and into the carpeted bedroom. I found Jeff Voorhies on Angies list. He was in the neighborhood working, and was able to stop by the house within a hour of our phone contact. He inspected the carpet staining damage and then presented a realistic plan for treatment. The carpet looked vastly improved after his initial cleaning, and we've had him back several times since. When having some work done in the basement, the crew had to open up a heating duct to gain access to their work area. I was shocked by the amount of dust and pet hair in the duct. I called Voorhies Cleaning Systems to clean the entire duct system. They use a powerful vacuum system that utilizes a clear duct cover. Through the clear duct cover, you can actually see the amount of material being pulled from the system.

I had used them in the past too, and the price this time was more than the last time; I really don’t have anything to compare their price with. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

+ -1 moreAlthough I was given a choice of times for the day he would be coming as he had no other appointments, he then booked an appointment before mine that day. He was scheduled for around 10 or 10:30 but called that morning to say he would be later as he had another appointment before mine. Had I been given a choice, I would have preferred he start my job earlier. Instead, he didn't arrive until sometime around noon or slightly after so instead of being done at an acceptable and our intended time, he didn't finish til I think around 5:30. We had dinner plans and we ran late. Also, I was going to add the basement steps but there wasn't time. He did a thorough job and the carpet did look nice. The carpeting seemed pretty damp the next morning but then I realized since he didn't get done til close to 6 the previous night it had not had as much time to dry as when I've had it done before in the morning. I would use him again although I would impress upon him the importance of arriving at the scheduled time. He did give the 15% Angies List discount.
Description of Work: Jeff, the owner, cleaned all wall to wall carpeting on our first floor, the steps to the second floor, upstairs landing and two bedrooms.

We were able to set the date and time by email (very convenient if you are not able to call during business hours). He arrived on time, went right to work, and did a fantastic job cleaning my carpets. There was a noticeable, dirty pathway in the bedroom that he was able to make look like new. His price was reasonable. He did not try to "up-sale" other products like the major carpet cleaners I've used in the past. He was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for clean carpets!

He knew we were moving the furniture in the next two days, and insisted on completing the job, even in the extreme heat. It was above and beyond, and he remained professional, courteous and cheerful. I will use this company again and recommend it highly.

Was given a verbal general estimate over the phone with note that he had not seen the area so this was just a guestimate based on the information I gave. This was rental property we are getting ready to sell. An appt was made for a Saturday and he showed up on time. Work was actually cheaper then what we both had thought. Carpets look awesome! No spots returned. Would definitely use Voorhies Cleaning again!
Description of Work: Had living room and 3 small bedrooms and hallway carpets cleaned. This is rental property and while carpet was just 2-3 years old was still dirty with spots. Spots were treated and carpets cleaned. Was even given booties to wear to walk over damp carpet.

+ -1 moreOverall, I was impressed with his professionalism and how quickly he got the job done by himself. Other groups I have used have had two people doing the same rooms that didn't get it done any faster. When he quoted me, I could only afford a few rooms - I left off the two bedrooms that are never used and I left off the stairs. I asked him to clean the main rooms noted above, and the basement, which had most of the stains. I couldn't afford to do the stairs and other rooms. When he got done and I walked down to the basement to pay him, I noticed the stairs were wet - he did those for me for free!!! I thought that was very kind of him to do that for me; he probably noticed they really needed it.
Description of Work: He cleaned the carpet in my living room, dining room, master bedroom, hallway, and basement living room as quoted. He threw the stairs in for free. I have four dogs and the issue was the smell from past accidents, and some stains. He got rid of the smell and most of the stains. There were a couple stains in the basement that no one has been able to remove - not sure what the stains are since they have been there a while, but the upstairs was like new carpet.

The stain removal worked great on one older red wine stain. The carpet looked great when finished. It does take several hours to dry so I am glad I took the morning appointment instead of the afternoon. I definitely would hire him to again.

+ -1 moreJeff did a great job. The initial call for an estimate - he called back by the end of the day. I work from home and we were able to arrange the cleaning on a Saturday. The day of the cleaning - he was on time, friendly, professional and was very knowledgable. He suggested better ways to deal with pet stains to avoid making spots permanent. He was very careful in the house -- using corner guards to avoid scraps and unnecessary damage. He takes great pride in his work and treats customers just like he would like to be treated.
