Renew Crew of Johnson County

They were great to work with. I was reseeding when they bid the job and I told them I wanted the work to be done as late in the season as possible. They kept in regular communication for several weeks. When they did the work, they thorougly power washed the fence on the first day. I was surprised how thoroughly it was done. Two days later the crew came to stain it and were very fast and thorough.I inspected the fence before they left and they didn't hesitate when I asked them to go over a very small baseboard one more time. They also offered to restain a small porch with steps on the rear of tyhe house for a very reasonable price. I waited until winter was over before writing this review since I wanted to see how their work stood up to the winter weather. I am still very pleased and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a fence or deck stained.

I originally purchased a deck cleaning Angie's deal from this company. After consulting with them, I went ahead and contracted for a refinishing of my 2 year old deck which was excellently constructed but not particularly well finished. Excellent results

It went great. I got it as a deal of the day when I was out of town. I never even met the guys doing the job--i took care of it by e-mail and by phone, so I was slightly nervous. A friend stopped by to say they were working hard. I came back from my three week trip to see that the deck was beautifully repaired and stained. The follow-up was great to. They'll be doing my deck in a couple of summers again.

Salesman called within a couple of days after purchase on Angie's List. Salesman was very professional and set an appointment to measure and give a price for their service. Salesman also explained the process and suggested what product would work the best. The workers who would complete the work were scheduled within two weeks. They completed the work as promised within one day of their estimate. I would use them again.

The owner, Wayne, looked at our deck and told us about the condition, etc. He then gave us an estimate which we thought was very fair. We accepted his estimate and then we scheduled a date for his crew to begin power washing. After allowing a day or so for drying, the wood protectant was applied. The deck looks great. Wayne and his crew were all very professional and did quality work. We will call them again when needed.

This was my first experience with a vendor via Angie's List so I thought I would give it a shot. The company responded promptly and said they would send someone over for an estimate. After that call, my experience went downhill quickly. The sales gentleman called and proceeded to talk rapidly without letting me get a word in edgewise. He spoke AT me, not with me. He spoke at great length about how his product would remove some buildup on decks and the entire process. That night I went home and found a bid estimate for $988. That far exceeded anything I had expected. My neighbor with the same size of deck had his done for less than half of that with his Angie's List Offer. The sales rep called and left me a voice mail that week. In fact, I only ever received voice mails after this point in time. Two weeks later, he came over and tested a couple of areas of my deck. I DID NOT ask for this and I did not have warning that he would do this. The "test" areas were in three places -- one two planks wide and 8 feet long, one 3 planks wide and four feet long and one step at the bottom of the deck. This to me is not a test, this was more like a way to force me into having them do the deck as the wood was now bare. The following week, the sales rep called and said the written estimate was actually too high. I have since received a voice mail every couple of weeks. I return the calls and leave my name and number and then nothing for a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I worked with another company that did the work for $400. My deck is now beautiful for half the price.

The were very responsive on showing up and cleaning up so that part was good. I think they needed to look over the whole deck to make sure the stain covered everything before leaving.

After the initial phone call we had an estimate within three days. The deck was cleaned, chemically stripped and the entire deck and fence stained and sealed. The crew was prompt, neat and did a great job. The old deck matches the new fencing. We were provided with a list of tips for help it stay that way. Wonderful service.

It went great and it looked really good when they were finished.

They repaired an 8 foot board. They raised and repaired a part of my gazebo that was sagging at no charge. Then they applied the wood protectant and u.v. protection to the deck including all posts and rails as well as my entire gazebo (outside and inside). I used the Angie's List Big Deal Coupon which saved me $250.00. I really expected all of this to cost much more. I recently moved to this house and the deck had not been cleaned or treated in years. I could not believe the drastic difference after they were done. I would most definitely refer them and will use them again!

They were courteous and worked very h****** an extremely hot day. The fence now looks almost new, so the company name is quite apt. Very pleased with results and the price. Would hire them again.

We took advantage of an Angie's list promotion for deck washing/wood renew application -- last year (2011) -- right before the big hail storm in JOCO. We had only completed the deck washing when the storms hit, and we ended up waiting a year before having the deck Wood Renew application done because of numerous repairs and painting to the house that were necessary. T he company was very understanding, checked in with us periodically over the 12 months. When we did have them back, they power washed again (without additional charge), removed all of our furniture and grill -- and applied the finish. They were able to complete the work in only two visits. Overall, we found the company and crew to be very professional, helpful, punctual and the end result -- our deck looks great and is much more enjoyable now.

I liked their services and the process they used which was better than the normal. It is a wood renew process and not a staining process and as such it seems to last longer and gives the deck a better look.
