I purchased a coupon for $100 to include 4 hours of work. When I called to schedule the time, I told them I wanted a pre-hung Anderson storm door installed, and other small projects. They told me it would take two people to install the door, so I would receive two people for two hours. From the installation reviews, I was not expecting it to be a two-person project. The first person arrived on time. He was very professional, and set up his equipment. The second person arrived more than 1/2 hour late. He said he got lost. My house is correct in the GPS system, so I'm not sure of the issue. They spent the entire time on my front door. My house was built in 2008. It is not an older home. I expected to receive more than a front-door installation for four hours of labor. The door was a right-open door and not reversible handling. I could have received the same price at Home Depot, and I could have gone to them with installation issues. UPDATE: After reading the provider response, I feel I have to respond. Perhaps he has me confused with someone else. They looked at my shelving, but did not have time to even begin the installation. To clarify - absolutely no work was done on installation of the shelving. The entire time was spent on the door installation.

The client was very nice. One of our guys was 30min. late and it was due to our Garmin's not getting us to her house. The home is new and both of our employees had to call to get right direction. However, we did stay an additional hour to accommodate the time. We are a little surprised at this review. We did install the Anderson door, which would cost more from Home Depot to install. We also spent an additional hour to put up a shelving system, but could not due to the client not having the right parts. We did go the extra mile for this client and she was very happy by the end and apologized for keeping us so long on the shelving. Client was a pleasure to work with.

It turned out really good. They came in and got to work with no problems. I do think their wording needs to be redone because the only thing that we discussed was a time frame. He claimed he was only supposed to be here for so much time, but the deal said something else. He ended up staying that long, but he was only going to stay for about half that time. I told him I didn't understand because Angie's List says one thing and I'm putting it in two different ways, but we got it straightened out and he went by what the voucher said. Other than that his work was good. He had another worker with him and everything else, so I don't have no complaints there. He did what he came in here to do and me and my husband are satisfied with the work.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal from Re-Build LLC for four hours of handyman or general contracting services. Our finished basement flooded because of a storm we had, so a company came out that had to tear out the baseboards and all of that to drill holes to make sure that they can get all the fans and everything between the wall and the sheetrock. I had them to put the baseboards all up, do caulking and painting. He also painted a small portion of the wall that had water spots on it.

I took advantage of the Angie's offer for 4 hours of a handyman - can't remember the exact cost but it was approximately a couple hundred dollars. Ended up paying $1,500 and it took a few days. Seemed like they were discovering one more thing that needed to be done once they removed the siding, ex., something in the attic and water damaging the windowsill. The time it took to fix it and the cost was definitely more than I expected. The siding is fixed and looks good
Description of Work: Woodpecker had made a hole in the siding and insulation (quite a bit inside the outside wall.) He replaced the insulation and siding, plus repaired a windowsill and painted all. He repaired the threshold from the house to garage by nailing in a piece of wood to support it better. He started to paint the back door but the sun was so hot, the paint would bubble up. He said he'd come back when he could take the door down and paint it. I haven't heard from him and he hasn't returned to complete that.

Friendly, courteous staff. The first estimate was high because the square footage of the roof was way off. I asked them to remeasure, and when they did they reached a number much closer to my ballpark estimate. It was some time before they could come out, but when they did they were done quickly and cleaned up (most of) their mess. There were leftover materials in the driveway for a while, and once I called about it they came to pick the stuff up. The roof looks really good. I would recommend them but only if you are watchful. There are formulas online for getting a reasonable idea of your roof's size, so be sure you do that beforehand, or get a second measurement from someone you trust. Don't blindly accept the first estimate you receive, but that's true for any provider!

Sean and Catherine were great when they came out to give an estimate and help pick out my shingles. The project got delayed due to rain but once they got me scheduled the roofers had my new roof on in a day. However, it did not pass city inspection so I worked with Sean and Catherine to get it fixed. There was also some damage to my siding from the roofers and Sean had it fixed immediately. After some discussion Sean identified what needed to be completed for the roof to pass inspection and got it fixed. The entire process took quite some time before the job was completed, between the inspector out sick, ordering materials to fix the issue from inspection and identifying the actual fix, it took about 2 months to complete.

We had purchased a big deal for their services. The job is complete, but I wasn't exactly thrilled with them. We had contractor issues, I had 2 walls removed, to shorten a closet, and give that space back to the bathroom. It was a very simple job and the only subcontractor that he used and was nice, was the tile guy. I was supplying supplies from my own house for 90% of the job. When you bring the vacuum, you better make sure it works and that you don't use the vacuum of the owner of the house. When you knock down walls, that means that the walls that go up, should be square. When they got 90% of the job done, they were installing the vanity, they realized that 2 walls don't make a 90 degree anymore. I was livid. The young man that they had working for most of the job, borrowed somebody elses vacuum, and it died on day 1 of the clean up, and so I had to go and get him mine, because he couldn't afford to go and get from somebody else. It is the little things to start off like that, when you tell somebody you show up on time, you show up a little later, the communcation was difficult to work around. I was calling one number, their system worked part time, and they didn't say that, if they had said it, I would have called them accordingly. A job that was supposed to take a week, ended up taking 3 weeks to do. It just seemed like all the equipment is in, and everybody who sees the product thinks that it is great, it is the little details are not what I expected. I would probably not hire them again, and I have other projects waiting. They were aware that this was a trial run, and if they didn't do well, they wouldnt get the other projects. The work started after 3 weeks because they were busy and I understood that. My bathroom is in the main hallway of the house, not once, with all the snow, rain that we had, did they bother to put anything on the ground, until I said something, and I have hardwood floors. It never crossed their mind, I brought the tarp in, it was my personal one. I had to keep reminding people that it was my personal equipment. The floors were the biggest kicker of the whole deal. My house is not perfect, but I just wanted my floor to be protected. The only crew who came in with booties, was the one who did the tiles. The bid was on par with what I expected it to be. I had a ceiling fan installed, I had 2 walls brought down, and put up, new floor put in, reinstalled the closet board, and because they did not have a square wall, everything had to be made custom build. I thought the pricing was fine, I did do several bids before them, and I was very explicit with all the bids that I got, that I wanted a long term contractor, and their price was reasonable. The only reason the price kept on coming up, was because we had to get tiles, and the floor had to be redone. Nobody paid attention to what was underneath the floors that they were working on. I went to the basement and walked on broken glass because I didn't know it had shattered.

Response from Re-Build LLC
Client was great to work with. A little surprised at some of the comments. She insisted my guys use her shop vac. Our shop vac. gave out on us mid. project and we would of used another one of our own, but she brought her's and said to use it. We will defiantly take note of not using clients equipment when they insist. The job took an extra week due to removing the floor tile which was installed over 3" of concrete and galvanized mesh. Not noted, but that is ok. The wall was not square due to the original wall being 1/4" off. New builds are different than remodeling to old. However, even after we told her we could fix the 3/8" gap, she told us not to worry and center the vanity to the light fixture; which resolved the issue as well. Re-Build makes every effort to insure proper install and professionalism. Our client was very happy when we left, but sometimes a review tells you more. We appreciated the opportunity and meeting this client.

From the initial contact to the final clean-up, re-build was great. I would definitely consider them for any additional home maintenance projects. Sean, the project manager, and Catherine, the business development manager were both extremely helpful, knowledgable, professional. In addition to the quality of the work, they are major reasons I chose rebuild and would use rebuild again. I haven't had any problems with the work done, so I have no first-hand experience on how they deal with problems; however I assume they would deal with any issues in a manner consistent with the project work.

We accepted one of Angie's list big deal at $4,799.00 for 2000 sq. feet of shingles our roof was a little larger and the total cost was $5.649.00. Sean came out did the inspection then explained to us the results of his finding in detail and answered all of our questions. He was very patient with us in finding the correct color. Sean explained with the rain that he was running about 3-4 weeks out. We signed the contract around the first of April and the job was completed on May 7th. His crew of 2 arrived on the 5th and were very experienced and hard working as they completed the total job by 1:00p.m. on the 7th.by working an extra long day on the 6th. This included all clean up with no damage to plants around the house. From the first meeting with Sean until the last inspection by Sean this was a great experience. This also included some damage from hail and Sean worked with our insurance agent to help make sure all paper work and inspections were finished to there satisfaction. Would recommend Sean and Re-Build for all roofing needs. THANKS SEAN... Jerry and Colleen Downey

I was beyond pleased with the service we received from Rebuild. They're pricing was good for the repair we needed done and the work itself was far better than I expected for my garage. They worked within our busy schedules and took the hassle out of getting it done. They did have change who was doing the work after Sean had done the original estimate so Catherine came out with him the day before to ensure he understood the request and would have all the right materials. We've since had them bid on a bathroom remodeling project and we look forward to working with them again.

Sean and Catherine were great to work with. We purchased the roof through a deal on Angie's list. We had two layers of old roof to remove, and it was a bit larger than the deal covered, so they charged us a little more, which was totally understandable. Our son had purchased a starter home, and once we got in we knew it needed a roof. Timing was perfect with the Angie's List deal. The new roof made the house look so much better. They did a great job. Sean was very helpful. We found another issue with termite damage in the basement. We hired them to fix that also. He got someone out and fixed it right away. I would call them again for anything. They were great!

They work they did was great. They were very professional and just great guys to talk to about the different repairs. I was a bit disappointed because the 1st guy that viewed the repairs I said I needed. Assured me they could get it done in 4 hours. There were 3 repairs they couldn't do because of misscommunication between the owner and the guy who came out the first first time. For instanstance they were soppose to build a screen on the screen door and were suppose to get theI supplies and bring me the receipt. All the other repairs I purchased the material and they were to perform the service. The did not repair my towel rack in my bathroom. The piece of tile was not repaired in the main bathroom (this was no fault of theirs the tile given to me was not correct for my sink). There were two service men and I was told they would do two hours which totalled the four hours promised in the discount coupon. However, the workedd on the same repair together. I believe one worked on part of the repairs and one worked on the other repairs they could've gotten all the repairs done. That would be closer to the four hours split between to people. They said they would give me a discount from $75 to $55 an hour to complete the work. I decided againt that because i felt the work should've been included as promised by the guy that came out the first time.

This is an OUTSTANDING company. Truly Professional Services! Initially they met with me, explained the process, shared the various products available to choose from, and gave me shingle samples to look at. Provided their certificate of liability insurance at our first meeting. I was given a formal proposal outlining everything. They contacted the city of Lenexa and applied for the license and posted on the front door. They were present when the fellow from the city of Lenexa came for inspection. And informed me that inspection had been approved. After all work was completed, they followed up and presented my warranty for the roof and paper work for insurance information. The gentleman who first met with me was on site during installation and available via cell phone. (Rescheduling due to weather, and my changing the shingle color.) Additionally, there was an assistant available and present at all meetings which provided for continuity of service. Really nice people. Proved to be very trustworthy. They just went out of their way to do a superior job. Even my neighbors noticed and are now meeting with them for work at their house. The job included removing shake shingles, installing felt, Icing.water shield to eaves, stele (d) Drip Edge, Style (w) Valley Metal, New Pipe Jacks (3), Ridge Caps, Rand R Venting - Turtle Type 750s, Re-Flash Chimney, GAF Weather Systems Plus 50 Year Warranty. Radient Barrier and Guttering were also installed at no cost. I had no bushes or property ruined with the removal of the shake shingles. Also all debris was removed, even the pieces that fell behind the bushes were picked up. In spite of rainy weather they got the roof done in 2 days! They brought on extra help to make it happen. Additionally, I had a different company hired for some other work and they coordinated with their schedule. I understand this company does all types of work. I will definitely call them when I am ready for my next project.

It went well overall. I am very happy to have the work completed for such a great price.
Description of Work: I took advantage of the four hours for $99 offer this company made on Angie's List. Sam came out and looked at my projects. He told me he would estimate a few larger projects that were outside the scope of the $99 deal. He did not give me quotes for the projects I wanted most. BUT he was nice and professional. He forgot to schedule me after we met, though he said he would. I e-mailed him multiple times, trying to get on his calendar for the four hours of work. He finally had someone call me and we set up a time. I had the work done today. The work was done well, and Sean and his co-worker were very professional and easy to work around. All in all this was a good experience. i am still confused as to why the company wouldn't want the bigger jobs Sam told me he would bid. But -- I guess they are very busy.

We made several exchanges trying to get together. The men at Re-Build were very patient working around the weather and my vacation. They came out before to assess the job and arrived at the scheduled time to get it done. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they would be doing the work, not some crew of hirelings that I might have difficulty communicating with. I was very impressed that they sought to find other things to get the 4 hrs. I paid for when they thought the job would take less time. They brought all of the materials (including the masonite and caulk) and equipment; spread drop cloths to catch any paint drips and cleaned up after themselves. I was also pleased that they wanted to prime the bare wood before they painted with the paint I supplied. As it turned out, it took a little longer to complete the job than anticipated, but they didn't ask for additional payment (they justifyably could have. The repair work is indistinquishable from the rest of the house and, as it is 35ft above the ground, I am pleased that they did it rather than I. All in all, was very pleased with the work. They were prompt, honest and did very good work. I have already had them look over a couple of other projects I am considering. They joked that they would be willing to pay me $99 do the work, I definitely believe I got the better end of the deal.
Description of Work: I purchased the handyman special to deal with a siding/roofing issue that I couldn't do my self because of the height. Our old roof had leaked and the soffit and fascia had rotted. It was missed by the roofers when we installed a new roof 2 years ago. I am an above average handyman, so I believe I can provide a good assessment of their work.
