We have 3 small children in our family and getting rid of the mold was top priority. Certified made it their priority. All of the workers were very good to work with and very respectful of us and our home. I am very sincere in the fact that Mike, Kent and his team are one of the best contractors we have ever used. Mike took the time to come out to our house on a weekend and immediately schedule the remediation. Me and my family felt very secure in that they knew what they were doing to remove the mold and protect us. They were trustworthy, empathic to our situation and professional. I would definitely call this company again for remediation of water and mold.

Not only did they do mold and restoration they did ceiling restoration. They put the sheet rock back up and took care of the mud and paint and did an awesome.

they installed barriers and air scrubbers, HEPA vacuumed the rooms, wiped down surfaces, and coated affected areas. The work went very well. it was according to their proposal

Thought a may have a mold problem in a house I'm flipping, but wasn't as bad as expected... Gave me some "Do it Yourself" advise and was on his way. Very friendly and didn't charge anything for the 15 min stop. Thanks! Will definitely use again

I wasn't sure what to expect because I called today (on a Saturday). I was immediately able to be connected to Mike through what I believe was their after hours answering service. We initially setup an appointment for tomorrow (Sunday) because getting the areas in our home inspected was somewhat time sensitive. I mentioned to Mike that if he ended up in our area at any other time prior to tomorrow, to just give us a call. He texted me within about an hour and was in our area and able to do the inspection same day. The bar was set very high in this situation and very pleased that he was able to come out so quickly and give us a resolution and quote. Planning to schedule the work once we have the availability of the drywall guy. Will review again once the work is completed! Thanks Mike!

It went very well. Over the course of a number of weeks, Mike cleaned up the basement, addressed a few mold issues (and mold fears from the buyers), and put the basement back together just in time for closing! Mike went so far as to babysit the house waiting for the carpet installer while we went to the closing!

Mike was timely in getting over to check out water and mold damage to my basement on a rental property. I met with him last Monday afternoon, and his crew started on Tuesday. They were very professional, did the work promptly, and I have the confidence to know that our water and mold problems have been taken care of by a certified contractor. I just referred Mike to a friend of mine and they are using him as well!

I had been trying to find a quality company that understood the importance of arriving on time, giving me an estimate and information on how the process would go, and then actually following through with that verbal commitment. I was very frustrated with contractors telling me they would be here at a certain time, not showing up, not calling until a day or 2 later to tell me they had to reschedule, as if my time and project did not matter. I was on a very tight time line to get the mold remediation done, I had contacted 2 other contractors that did not follow through and I was down to 9 days before I would have to leave town for 1 month. I could not close up my house for that amount of time with the mold. (As it had been 5 weeks since the damage had occurred - insurance companies). Mike was out the very next day, looked at the project, he had dehumidifiers and drying fans out the day after that. The demo team arrived, they cleaned and removed they heavy furniture from the room, removed mold and demolition completed and I still had 3 days until I had to leave town. The demo team did a great job, they gutted the room, removed all the materials, brought their own truck to haul off the debris and cleaned up when they were done. They did not create a huge mess in the whole house and although my house is small they took every precaution not to spread the mold through the house. During this whole process, I never felt my project was less important than larger more expensive jobs and was very responsive in his communications via call, email and text. When I asked about a roofer for those Mike made a recommendation, and just like CWMR, very responsive, very reasonable, and timely. Seemed to me CWMR worked with other local quality companies to complete the work; and one of the best parts of this whole process, the roofer estimate came in slightly under the insurance estimate and CWMR did not inflate that price to make a profit, they passed the savings on to me, which was very helpful since I had a higher deductible. Like I said in the beginning, I really cannot say enough good things. This is the first time I used AL to find a contractor, it was very successful and I would use Angie?s List, Certified Water & Mold Restoration and Higher Roofing again in a heartbeat. It went very well, and having everything brought out of your basement to go through and decide to either have cleaned or thrown away is a daunting project. The prices were reasonable for the amount of work done, and the service was done promptly and professionally. They sealed off the basement from the rest of the house and took all precautions to keep any contaminated air from reaching the rest of the house while they did their clean out. I was quite happy to have this finally taken care of. The additional duct cleaning was done at a discounted price for having hired them for the basement clean-out, and the owner, Mike, was very understanding and fair about pricing. He allowed the payments to be made in three separate installments, which was very convenient for our family. The only issues I had were one employee being a bit overzealous and throwing a few items into the dumpster before checking with me whether I wanted them taken away or not. One was too damaged to recover, but it was really no great loss. The other issue was the employee doing the mopping job not doing a very good job of it and leaving a few rather large stains, but Mike had the rest of the crew come and re-mop and sanitize the entire cement floor left right after I called to report the problem. Otherwise, I got quite a few laughs due to one of the cleanup crew members singing along rather loudly to the radio. He would've stopped had I requested it, obviously, but I thought it was hilarious. Mike also provided several ideas for flooring to replace the carpet that was removed due to fear of paying for more carpeting when so many neighbors have dealt with basement floods in the last few years. They did excellent work, and I would certainly recommend them and would use them again, I just hope I never have the need!

We had a small area where mold was growing in the drywall. It seemed like everyone we came in contact with in the company wanted us to know how small of a job we were asking them to complete. All the work was completed on the day of service with one additional follow up appointment. Nothing was actually done on time, they were late to arrive every appointment I had. There seemed to be some conflict between the guys who remove the mold and the guys who replace the dry wall, paint, etc. The mold removal team left mold on the wood trim. The guy who replaced the drywall was very polite and great to work with. He removed the mold for us after I pointed out what was missed. In the original quote it stated that the air scrubber would remain in place for 12-24 hours. It was removed after 6-8 hours. I would use this company again and give them another shot if I have any mold problems in the future, but would make sure I closely review their "finished" work before I let them leave.

The thing I liked the best about Certified Water and Mold was the responsiveness. I emailed and texted Mike, the owner, and he always responded back very quickly. All the workers were also very punctual, which was important to me as I had to leave work to let them in AND I felt comfortable leaving them in my empty house as I went back to work. The finished product is excellent. You would never know that we had a pipe burst and lots of water everywhere.

A roof leak and the resulting mold in a closet was my worst nightmare. We are getting ready to list our house and we had to get it fixed quickly. This is a recipe for a high priced fix. Mike responded quickly. He gave me a quote and had his crew at our house two days later on the Saturday of Easter weekend. They arrived on time and finished the work in about 3.5 hours. They removed the drywall and treated some beams and left the closet absolutely spotless. They took the air sample on Monday and I had my certificate showing all normal readings on Thursday. At every turn Mike and his crew was professional and informative. Best of all....the price was very, very reasonable. I don't have water intrusion problems every day but when I do I call Mike. ;-)

Mike and the crew were great! very friendly and professional. They were prompt and stayed in touch with us throughout the whole process. They do great work! They cleaned up every time after they finished working They also worked great with our insurance company.. I highly recommend them.

We are happy with the results. Mike and his crew were quickly responsive to us when we contacted them about a water leak caused by an ice dam on our roof. The water mitigation was performed quickly once the leaking had stopped. The restoration work took longer given the amount of other water damage customers they were working with at the same time. This wasn't that big of a deal because the crew always kept us well informed on when they'd be able to come and do the work.

This was a last minute requirement from the buyer's lender which was going to potentially delay the closing date on the sale of the house. Mike came and gave me his bid on the job 2 hours after I called him and because of the time issue managed to schedule our house for the next day. I talked to another company who said their price would be comparable, they might be able to save me a "couple of dollars" but they could not look at the house to bid the job until the next day and since Mike was willing to start the job the next day I hired his company. I found him to be very professional and would definitely recommend him.

After incurring water damage in a master bathroom closet from an ice dam, I contacted my insurance agent who provided me with a restoration company's name. I looked on Angie's list for another company because the first was unacceptable. Certified had a great rating so I contacted Mike Martin, who responded in a timely manner and was very professional, informative, knowledgeable and very personable. Mike worked within our time line and was very patient while we made crucial decisions regarding changes to the room. Mike also agreed to finish a half finished drywall job, that we had started in another bathroom, for a very reasonable cost. A start time was set up, begun on time and finished on time. The workers, Justin and his son, went above and beyond to do the work quickly, efficiently all the while making sure to protect the living areas of the house. The bathroom has a cathedral ceiling and the walls were in very rough condition due to wall paper removal, not a good situation. The drywall dust was kept to a bare minimum and they did a great job of cleaning up after both jobs were finished on time!

Mike, Kent, Justin, Garrett and Sam were the guys that helped in the restoration project. They were all very professional. They were always punctual and meticulous in the work. Mike would come in during the day to inspect and would always have great suggestions on fixing some of the things. Even when I asked them to do a few things that were not part of the restoration project, they were very considerate and did it for us. There was a wooden box that covered the sump pump area before that was damaged with water and Mike and Kent re-did it in a way that it allows great air flow to the sump pump area as well as look great. Overall, I would say that my basement looks much better than what it was before the damage.

Very well. Sump pump failed. Got a hold of Kent right away. He was at the house within an hour and got the job started. Finished up and even help put all of the furniture back in place.

Mike and he partner, cannot recall his name (sorry) came out quickly after calling them. I had called and received a bid by a competitor as well. Mike's bid was $400 less and he even reduced it another $100.00 for the Angie's List coupon that they had posted. As a customer, understand the equipment is loud--fans and a de-humidifier. They got started right away and the floor was dry in a couple of days. It was nice to get such a quick response and get the work done.
